Fair enough, I will then wait for the Button-controlled version. Again, thank you for your prompt reply.

FS2 crew won't install
Thank you Bryan, Liveries are present, except I cannot seem to add any to default ones. What I meant with airline names is that I no longer have the choice of ATC call-outs for airlines except the FS default ones. At this stage, there is no real point to download the 1.1 version since, owning a non-English OS, the voice controlled version won't work.

not works
Good afternoon to you all! To carry on about this topic, I too am in such a case, the voice controlled version of FS2Crew unusable on my system. I am a bit upset because there should be some sort of warning at one point, stating that on most non-English OS's the software will NOT work. Upgrade my OS to Win8 (worth 119€) just to use a 25€ add-on to FSX is, imho, a bit exagerated, however good said software is. As for Vistalizator, not everyone is believing it is such a grand piece of software and it seems it voids the Genuine Windows validation. Will there be any way to swap to a button controlled version?

FS2 crew won't install
Good afternoon! Thank you for your replies. I suspected the registry because I recently had a big crash on my system and still today, not everything is working as it should. I uninstalled Airbus X, reinstalled it and afterwards, FS2Crew did install properly. Except I have lost all airline names, bar those invented by MS. Is there anyway I can get them back? Regarding the 1.1 version, do I simply re-download the software? File size seems to be the same, though I purchased it a few days before it was released. How can I find out which version I'm running? Again, thank you all!

FS2 crew won't install
Good day to you all! I could do with a little help: I cannot seem to install FS2 Crew. The error message is that Arbus Xtended is not installed. I guess it has to do with the registry. I tried and Google a possible solution but so far drew a blank. Thank you in advance for you help. Laurentzi

Yes, I do confirm it does work with CFM liveries on my system

wilco Airbus Evolution released!
That's fairly odd, the WR works on both the A318 and the A320, and every livery on my system. As as the import FP function, I seldom use it but it works fine too, so it might have to do with errors upon install on your machine.Cheers!

I fully agree with you on this one. Now, the metric altimeter works, so maybe not really worth the money, but all in all no better choice when it comes to Airbus, so far.I've received a number of replies from their support, it would be so much easier for them to have a forum and inform their clients, it seems a new installer should be released soon.

It works fine on my system. Within the limits that were mentioned before. Shame on Wilco, though, for not informing its customers about the usefulness (or not) of ver 1.0b.

JP, we might eventually see the light, mind. You do have a valid point about the usefulness of the HUD in real aviation. I was mainly questioning it in simulation. To be honest, I would have preferred to see it implemented in the VC rather than the 2D panel. For a very simple reason, VC can be zoomed in and out as well as panned. Sure will be cool to use for manual approach, full screen and all. It's just a matter of personal choice, and personal choices should be respected. Now waiting for FSLabs A320...

Hi!On my list of download, only ver1.0b for FS9 is listed :-( twice, actually...

Seems some of us do not like to be contradicted here. Shame, I thought fora were meant to EXCHANGE opinions.I still believe the HUD is a gimmick but I'm glad some simmers find it useful. It does work fine and does look pretty, I still regret not to have access to any other switch that's not programmed on my stick but that's just me and it must indeed be the wiring. To catch the ILS, it's true you need be within restrictive parameters, it works better than before, however. I have not experienced any CTD so far due to this specific software that I could identify.I just wish Wilco could fix the managed descent and other minor glitches and I'd be happy.

Mmmm... I'm not sure I like being called stupid. I'm afraid this is getting out of hand. I have minor complains only with this product, it works more or less as advertised for most of us and I just wanted to share that opinion. But if that opinion does not deserve respect on that forum, then I sure won't carry on!

Granted, duty was a poor choice of words, none the less I reckon by leaning on providers of services, regardless what they are, we have the power, as customers, to make things happen. There is no need to wish them dead for that. Wilco is by no means the child eating ogre some are describing here. Funny, I never believed I'd ever be defending them. :-)And yes, we are accepting the downsides of their products, but it does not mean we can't try have them corrected. I have, actually been in touch with customer support and they do reply. OK, they haven't yet come up with a solution but I keep faith.

We can rant all day, all it boils down to is that yes, Wilco treats its customers in rather light manner, yes Wilco products are flawed (ask the opinion of those who forked out 80 bucks for AirSimmer software) but FeelThere/Wilco still makes the best Airbus on the market. It might not look as pretty as some but most systems are functional and well implemented. Wishing Wilco to go bust in not just unfair, it's undeserved. It is we, as clients, who have the duty to make them understand we have rights for we spent our hard earned cash with them, maybe we could all demand a forum to start with?

I didn't mean the switch between In and Hpa but feet to meter altimeter : The metric altitude is implemented: the FCU selected altitude is displayed on the bottom part of the SD.Actually, I stand corrected. It does show at the bottom of the SD. Any Airbus pilot of there? Is it the way it works on the real one?

Chances are... nihil...No refund for download products, no exceptions. This reminds me of the late Aviograsf A340. Sorry JeffG :biggrin:It was the same story, except the product was unusable, whereas the Wilco one is.Has anyone tried to use the metric altimeter on the Evolution version? I can't seem to operate it. Maybe it's me, mind. And has anyone found any improvement in the multi-panel display? Haven't either. Shame, that's mainly what I was looking forward to, along the metric altimeter.

Indeed, one major improvement if I ever saw one! <_<I too believe it's the best Bus on the market and the changes make it this bit more enjoyable to use. The HUD surely improves safety on airliners, the question is: do we, simmers, need it? Who flies here without a panel at all? Not very realistic, is it? 20 Euros will buy you a slightly better A340, if I were you, I'd go for it as long as you understand it's only a minor upgrade.

wilco Airbus Evolution released!
I don't want to look like I'm defending Wilco, but all the improvements, granted there's few of them, were listed. Besides, we're talking update for most of us, so we knew what we were paying for. Those who bought the full product probably didn't know about the shortcomings of the previous version. I've been using Vol1 for several months and knew exactly what I was buying. What was improved and what was not. We all, I guess, had different reasons for flashing out our credit cards. Mine were the metric altimeter, the improved MCDU (it seems to work fine for SIDS, I'm not convinced about STARS), the improved multi-screen display (haven't seen any improvement so far), I don't really need the HUD (who does?) Plus, I was secretly hoping the managed descent would work. Well... It does not...Nowhere was there any mention of changing the FM, VC or any other major change. I deeply regret the lack of documentation, Wilco being a specialist in that respect, the poor customer support, the shortcuts taken with proper Airbus procedures. How difficult was it, for instance, to make the emergency light arming "clikable"? How difficult was it to tell us that liveries had to be installed again? How difficult was it to make a proper install file? One that didn't need the user to reboot after downloading, quite original, that one, I must say.Was it worth the asked money? Probably not. Will I still use it? Yes.

wilco Airbus Evolution released!
Hi!I too purchased and installed Wilco "evolution" I too am disappointed with what should've been a free update. I have to say, most of the advertised improvements are present, though. Except for 2 major ones, the managed descent is still unusable, I'll keep using manual V/S, the caret will, however be useful. The HUD is mainly a gimmick, but I have to say the weather radar looks quite neat.Where is the advertised multi-panel improvement? Still a chore to transfer panels on a second monitor. But what I most resent, and I bought several Wilco products is the lack of serious support (you get only pre-phrased replies) and the way customers are treated. The thing is, if you wanna fly an Airbus, there isn't much competition.
