That fixed it! Thanks Steve!

Hey all.... If suddenly encountered a strange glitch... When I hit F12 (top down view), and pull back all the way, I find that the entire earth is blanketed with a light/dark blue haze. I've tried to fix this by messing around with the visibility settings in ASE, but to no avail. I've also tried starting FSX without ASE running, and the problem is still there. Anyone have any ideas? See below for pics CYOW Pulled back Earth

I learned the Boeing FMC on the captain sim 757. But as I've gotten more and more involved in payware aircraft, I've really come to appreciate PMDG's attention to detail. I fully expect PMDG's 777 to outclass the CS version in every way. That said, CS's 727 and 707 are really good, and their oldschool 737 looks good too.

I am intrigued by this...count me in :)

Hey all, I'm currently doing a flight from Boston to Heathrow, 747-400x. I just noticed my ground speed was 590 knots...which is faster than I've gone in a long time (I've mostly been in the NGX). I'm using real time weather (ASE) at FL340 and a CI of 150. I'd like this thread to become something like http://www.groundspeedrecords.com/. regards Edit:PS I later got to 605 between Newfoundland and Iceland. FL350.

Just do what I did when I built my new system....consult the regular posters signatures. You'll find a common thread of the I5-or I7-2600k.

FS desperatly needs a quality Airbus, of any model. The wilcos are garbage. The aerosoft A320 has potential, but lacks system depth. Would love to see a A330 or a 380. The 747 update could be more difficult than anticipated, due to the cockpits being hardcoded into the model...but we can hope. I don't know if I'd pay another 75 dollars for what amounts to an asthetic update. In that event, PMDG should offer a hefty discount to current 747-400x owners...

The question is: Why would you buy a payware aircraft with the fidelity of the PMDG 737NGX, and not want to fly it properly? You'll enjoy it far more if you learn its systems and procedures...

Use FS recorder for the replay, record it with fraps. I use the Full option, not Half. Then I import movie generated by fraps into microsoft movie maker, then save it in a smaller/compressed format.
Don't forget to have your recording device/system sound turned up, otherwise it'll end up pretty quiet...like in the video -
I've also been thinking about getting RC4. How does it understand sids and stars?

PMDG 747-400x Qantas just arrived in WSSS.

Hey all, I've been on a flightplan making spree with FSC, basically whatever comes to mind, I'll make a high-alt flightplan for it. Does anybody know where I could download a compressed archive of a whole bunch of flight plans? Or would somebody be willing to zip or rar their flightplan directory and email it to me? I'd love to have a fairly comprehensive library... Thanks

I often got the headlights from regional jets, CRJs and ERJs....I just leave the tug running so they the get rotating beacon in the eyes the whole time they're on the ground.... But on topic, yes...nice shot..but don't forget the air conditioning...keep the chill out of the cabin lol

Seems a shame that magnetic variation fix on the main forum page didn't correct this...

Hey all I was flying out of KTPA the other day. I forget which runway ATIS said was in use, but when I went to select in in my FMS, it wasn't listed. I've also noticed quite a few airports where the runway in FS versus the FMS is off by one (25L would be shown in FMS as 26L). Anybody know what the problem is?

I've got version 1, and the auto brake worked both times...but I didn't apply any brakes on taxi....Hi Chris, Thank you for reporting. Did the autobrake kicked in both times? Have you SP3 installed? Thanks. -
The 777 isn't iconic enough to be a symbol of American power/influence....I think the next step will be an upgrade to the 747-8.

I had rejected takeoff twice, with a short taxi between them. When I took off on my third attempt, I brought up the landing gear, I got a master alarm wheel well fire lol. I checked my gear temp, and it was showing 9.6! I leveled off, dropped the gear, and air cooled them... I then checked the failures menu, and sure enough I had 2 failures pertaining to overheated brakes...

If you contact PMDG with your order ##, they might be able to help you...

I use FSUIPC to save my flights every 5 minutes...just in case When I load the saved file, my altitude fluctuates wildly (read: vomit commit), but eventually levels out and everything is fine.... I recommend getting the latest registed version of FSUIPC.

Well...that would make sense :) I think this is solved. ThanksThe hidden clickspot is for TO/GA, not N1. -
So you're saying that N1 wouldn't engage due to the fact that I was still on the ground? But the clickspot still engaged it....
-
I was lined up on the runway ready for takeoff. Had autothrottle engaged, both FDs engaged. I advanced the throttle up to 40%, and then I hit the N1 button on the MCP. Nothing happened...so I clicked the hidden clickspot for N1, and sure enough, my engines went to takeoff power, and off I went... anybody else have this issue of the N1 botton not functioning, or is there something I'm doing wrong. I'm aware there is a difference between N1 and TO/GO... regards

Any idea if/when the mouse lag issue will be addressed? Regards
CRZ speed at 330kts is this dangerous.......
