Has anyone come across a problem like I have with my NGX at the moment? With relatively high (70kt +) wind at cruise. With LNAV engaged the aircraft will bank violently left and right, sometimes with deviation up to 180 degrees track, chasing the intended heading. Engaging heading hold to counter this will cause the same effect, sometimes banking so hard the autopilot will disengage and a bank angle warning alarm will sound. The only option is to set the weather to 'clear skies', as opposed to updating real world weather every 15mins.Anyone got any advice?I find I have a similar problem with the 744 also, but only in heading hold. Sorry, I'm still blinded by how marvellous this product is, and that's in light of the fantastic other products PMDG has produced before it!!! It is after all a non-professional, personal PC based application, not a $25M tool for airline pilot training, not to degrade the superior attention to detail PMDG has obviously invested. I've spent over 25,000hrs on FS (often to my chagrin) and the NGX takes the cake thus far!

I spend most of my sim time in long haul aircraft, and made a decision a few weeks ago to rid myself of my freeware, and build a hangar of the best payware available. PMDG blew me away with the MD-11, so the 74 was a no-brainer, and off the back of the sheer quality of their work I decided to fill the short-haul void with the NGX. To suggest I am impressed is a massive understatement. Guys, your work is amazing, truly impressive, and is without a doubt the most significant development to date since MS flight sim itself! To PMDG TEAMI'm not the kind of person to use forums unless I have a major problem I can't solve, but I thought it worthwhile broadcasting my thoughts on your MD-11. I've racked up a ridiculous amount of time on FS over the years but I have never experienced the kind of superb product you've churned out with the MD-11. Everything, from panel, to sounds, to the model, to systems, is totally top notch, and while I can't profess to know the MD-11 first hand in real world terms, from what I know of it's design methodology, you have obviously worked very hard at making this product as' real world' as possible. I purchased the B744 a few days after the MD-11 simply out of sheer pleasure with the latter.A massive congrats to your entire team, I'm enjoying the results of your hard workl immensly.Simon.

Hi,I cant see the answer for my prob on this forum, so here goes. I have submitted a few tickets to PMDG but no response for 24hr so hope this helps. I've tried uninstalling and installing the MD-11 again but every time I select an MD-11 from my opening scene aircraft, it freezes then shuts FSX down. The PMDG panel in any other ac does the same thing so I guess it's the panel. Do I somehow have to make the MD-11 the opening sequence ac? If so how??Also, the ac don't have dynamic parts on the exterior (or the VC but I'm not so worried about that. Flaps, ailerons, lights etc, nothing responds to the usual key assiciations I have. (I have seen the VC because I put a freeware MD-11 panel into the PMDG model, to see if it was caused by the ac itself).The most pricey payare I've purchsed so I hope anyone out there can assist.
