  1. I just asked myself something: You specified a 5nm legs. The duration of a 180 standard turn is 1 minute. If you fly faster than 5nm in one minute the fmc might ran into problems, because it assumes the 5nm not only for inbound track, but also for the turns? (which would be impossible at that speed) If we think further, then the FMC thinks the turn is finished, because of the 5nm flown, but you only flew, let's say 160 degrees. Now the FMC will process the outbound leg, but instead of 5nm it will be only 4nm for example, the other 1nm is for the remaining 20 degrees because every turn have to be 180 degrees. The result will be the end of the inbound leg way before the waypoint. And now I have no idea why this results in getting bigger circles...
  2. Great news PMDG! Does the new installer include the SPs?
  3. I solved the problem with the pmdg support. It was due to a graphics driver update. AMD graphics driver 13.9 seems to be incompatible with many FSX addons.
  4. Hello, everytime I start a flight with the ngx, fsx crashes with a critical error in module "window.dll". Months ago I experienced performance problems with the fsx and switched to x-plane for a while. Yesterday I decided to try to solve those performance problems. I thought i wrote to many tweaks to the fsx.cfg and deleted her, to let fsx generate a new one. So far there were no problems. I let venetubo.com/fsx.html apply some tweaks and read the NGX Introduction manual to ensure I did everything that should be done. FSX worked better but ngx crashes (see above). Now i tried to uninstall everything and setup a complete new installation. So far it works fine again, but ngx keeps crashing. Now I don't know, what I have done wrong? I use FSX plus acceleration, Active Sky 2012, TrackIR 5, FSUIPC 4.90, Linda for FSUIPC, German Airports 1, 2 and 3 and AES from aerosoft. I installed FSX on an own SSD partition and run all programms relating to fsx as admin, including fsx himself. FSX runs in windows mode on one of 3 monitors and I activated MSAA in the graphics driver. And Standard Flight (on startup) is set to a standard airplane (Air Trike). I load the ngx manually. My System: Windows 7 64 Bit Ultimate CPU: Intel Core i5 3570 Memory: 16 GByte DDR3 Graphics Card: AMD HD7950 Feel free to ask more questions if needed Best regards Sebastian
  5. I bought it and I am really impressed. I never thought that the systems would be modeled so deep. Even in the FMC you can enter something like "WAYPT130/5", just like in the 737 NGX from PMDG. Never saw that on any other product. You can switch through all EICAS pages and show the checklists. And you get an EFB with tools to convert *.pdf files. I noticed two things on my first flight (Without tutorial or reading manuals, just sat in cockpit to try around). First, I had too much thrust. Okay, this could be due to my very tiny load of only 20 PAX and 6,000kgs of fuel. I got a climbrate of more than 6,000 fpm. Second, on some waypoints the autopilot in LNAV begins to circle. I had to manual set the next waypoint and intercept with headings... But that will be patched in future, I think Edit: I think the textures aren't worse that in PMDGs MD-11.
  6. Hello guys, I will get my X-Plane 10 tomorrow and in preparation of the PMDG 777 Release for FSX I would like to ask, if I should buy the 777 Worldliner Addon from Ramzzess (X-Plane.org), wait for the PMDG X-Plane Product (perhaps it is also the 777?) or buy the PMDG 777 for FSX? I fear, the 777 from Ramzzess doesn't satisfy me, because I only flew PMDGs 737 NGX for the last 2 years. I fear, I buy the 777 from Ramzzess and one day later, PMDG release the 777 for X-Plane. And I fear mostly, that I buy 777 from Ramzzess, then beeing disappointed so much, that I buy PMDGs 777 for FSX and then PMDG release the 777 for X-Plane, so I am angry, because I didn't wait. If there is a PMDG Airliner for X-Plane, I will start to switch over to X-Plane entirely, step by step. But I don't want to wait another year (or more) without any X-Plane product from PMDG... in this case I would like to buy the 777 for FSX. best regards sebihepp

Or IVAO - they have the same origin but follow different philosophies (especial for atc). On VATSIM you first have to meet with your mentor and do some theoretical and practical work with him (or her) before you can control on an airport. On IVAO you have to learn yourself by reading and controling on an airport. Then you can request trainings and then your exam. If you pass that exam, you are allowed to use the higher station for learning purpose.
  9. Thank you PMDG, you did and do great work. I like all those details in your planes. Perhaps I am the only one setting the display brightness in the NGX every flight to my preferences. I really like those, in some eyes perhaps unnecessary, things. Continue PMDG!
  10. I was only able to spend 20 US-Dollar... hope this helps
  11. Thanks for your answers. I will try it out next time. :)
  12. Servus, is it possible to specify a waypoint as a fly over point in the fmc? If yes, how? best regards Sebihepp
  13. Servus, I have installed REX Essentials, flew from EDDS (Germany) to BIKF (Iceland) and then something strange happens to me over Belgium - I flew with autopilot, LNAV and VNAV engaged. The airplane rolls slowly to the left (Left wing down, right wing up) and the autopilot wasn't able to correct that movement. I disconnected the autopilot and flew by hand - and I needed much power to hold the plane horizontaly. I think I moved the stick to about 10 or 15 on the scale to just hold the bank angle. If I removed my hands from the stick the plane begins to roll until it was nearly 80 degrees bank angle - then I take control again. No failures, no yaw movement noticable and indicated, yaw damper active... I don't know why this happens? It starts to be better after I descend to land in Belgium. I was fully loaded with about 97% (PMDG House Livery) and flew at FL360 with 260KIAS - the maximum I was able to, because overspeed was 265KIAS and Stall Speed was 250KIAS. (I don't know why, but the last flight to Iceland I could climb to FL380 with about 280KIAS - but this could have been in a B737) Was it the weather? Or was this caused by flying to high/slow/fast? I could fly the entire way to Iceland manually, but 3 hours moving the control stick is something I don't really want. What can cause this behaviour and what does real pilots do in such a case? best regards Sebihepp
