  1. awyeah!

    777 2D Cockpit?

After year's of flying 2d i went and got track ir 5 and changed the whole game and is now more exciting. Some products i still use 2d cause well you know they can't compete, so there is now a benchmark set and after some time using and setting up track ir it's hard to go back. 3d with 2d pop ups took a little time to adjust and better frames bang for your buck for sure.
  2. I got the Aerosim 787 and i'm having troubles with it fsx stops working.I can run ORBX,NGX and other addons fine but running this for some reason has stopped twice out 6 flights and i get bad frame rates on the ground.
  3. How many companies are dropping 2d for just 3d anyways not many correct me if i am wrong. I'm sure that the combination of both would keep everybody happy, i dont know about everyone else i still find 2d panels simulates better, in real life your seated in and 3d simulates way too much movement. To give you an example if your trying to click something and you zoom in the movement generated whilest flying can actually move of the edge of the screen. All in all for me zooming in and out and around shits me off. Also a lot of youtube clips using 3d panels to taxi and manual landings are pretty poor as far as the runway centreline is concerned.
  4. I cant stand 3d for landing and take off i never get the centre line as good. I went to flight experience 737-800 on the Gold Coast and 2d panel gives the same feel for me anyways and i wont be building 3 home cockpits for each individual aircraft thats why i think 2d and a bigger screen. If i wanted the pushed back in the seat feel i'd buy a ticket or get my licence.
  5. Sorry if i was not clear enough for you. When you look at your panel you have your map display, go into the FMC go into menu pmdg setup, aircraft, display's pfd ang go from there and adjust what you need to. this made my performance much better. It's reduced the map display this is my setting. Rising runway, pfd/nd nps, round rad alt dial, ada dial, landing alt bar, 2500 height alert, VOR course lines ect turned OFF just the basic navigation i have and this has worked for me after sometime reducing autogen, mesh, weather and the rest trying to get better frames hope this helps you all.
  6. The setting is in the FMC i just did the return flight to make sure i was sure. So i kept the navigation settings to a minimum on the map display (2 d panel captain side). So this improved the FPS much smoother 23 on the ground and around 70-80 in the air. Changing the from the arc to ctr is the same as with the vert display.
  7. I have taken the middle display settings eg VOR lines traffic from the menu and other items off the outer display screens but found the middle to make the biggest difference. I have ORBX Australia sp3 and ybbn, just did a flight to mackay now i'm back to my 85% traffic settings and full weather radius. I am hitting around the 20's @ ybbn and 50 or so in less populated places. Hope this helps as i have i-fly as well and can run max settings but this plane is now getting there and i'm enjoying it much more great product.
