  1. Hi Simmers, actually that's doing the trick: switching from limted fps (what gives FSX time to draw sharp textures) to unlimted fps (which gives generally a plus of 5fps or more on my system, but leaves some blurries, when scenery is consuming ressources) ... and the point of switching is adjustable by setting the minimum fps in FA. Everything else in the graphic management is done by FSX itself, isn't it? So to me it seems FA is JUST DOING THIS: switching between "limted" and "unlimited" fps at a certain framerate, which is set by the user. Knowing this could take all the anxieties about mystic manipulation of FSX innards by FA, possibly doing any harm to preciuos settings. Otherwise it could look a bit disappointing: That's ALL, what FA does? To be honest: so far nobody had this Idea to switch automatically between "limted fps" and "unlimited fps". For my part - i did that manually when starting a flight at consuming sceneries fps set to unlimited, interrupting the flight when airborne and clean, adjusting to 30fps limit to get sharp ground textures, and while approaching to another heavy airport interrupting agian to return to unlimited fps. To get that done by FA helps a lot to enjoy my flights without fumbling with the options and settings inflight! I have no idea how complicated was that to program.... but it is the idea, what counts, and FSPS are the first to come up with. It is a real innovation for FSX and makes my flights much more immersive. I still might underestimate FA - is there MORE it does, then just to switch between "limted" and "unlimted" frames (and all the rest done by FSX)? Point 2: "If you are on an easy situation tries to gives you the best possible graphics at max distance, keeping the frame rate" Does FA exceed the LOD radius beyond setting in FSX.cfg (in my case standard 4.5)? That could explain some OOMs, which I never have since DX10-Fixer (but happen with FA in NYC). Or is the graphic ressources management still handeled by FSX according to FSX.cfg. settings? Point 3: "If it can keep the target frame rate AND the best possible graphics THEN give further frames". Does FA switch to unlimited again, when fps are hitting the upper limit in FSX? Greetings from Germany, Michael That is exactly, why I like FA!
  2. ...in addition: great, that You offer 5x 60min trial, that gives some better impression. For long haul testing that's still not enaugh... but trials and sales and test reports will now increase for sure! And after some enthusiastic reports i will try it for sure, too! Greetings , Michael
  3. Hi Fly Guys, is it real, that FSPS team found the Holy Grail of improving FSX performance, so desperately sought for after 8 years? If so, they deserve those 40$ from each user using it! Really! But it is bad marketing to give it just a 5min trial (even 5X5 minutes). FSX Fiber Accelerator seems to work deep into the innards of a running FSX, like a neurosurgeon. Serious simmers are quite skeptical of what it it is doing there - they have to lose a lot (when the program crashes the running setup)... but they have to win a lot, too: PERFORMANCE. A smooth running FSX is real bliss. A one day trial period allows to test it not only in the gate-setup-situation, but also in different sim situations and complete flights. How does it work, flying a PMDG Boeing from La Guardia to KMIA, or a Concorde from Heathrow to KJFK? What about approaching Mega Airports with heavy loading aircrafts, at heavy weather in night times? Is it only "a trick" working for some 20 minutes, or does the accelerator perform reliable on long hauls? FSX Booster 2013 was just good for beginners not experienced in tweaking, for long time simmers it was completely useless, and FSPS was not really communicating that. So some skepticism is there... If the Fiber Accelerator keeps the marketing promises, enthusiastic reports will fill forums, and spreading words will rise attentions.. and sales! So give it a try - of one day! At least for the time of the introduction to the global simmers community, lets say two weeks? Greetings, Michael
  4. I have the exact same prtoblem! What's wrong? Any solutions so far? Regards, Michael
  5. Hi there, LINDA made me looking forward to finally get my MCP working qwith the ifly 737... so I bought a regitred version of fsuipc (the latest on) installed Linda as was said in the manual, set up the mcp... but it does not work. The MCP inputs do noot gon into FSX, und the LINDA console is showing this: [E] *** LUA Error: error loading module 'linda-cfg/aircrafts/FSX Default/config-mcp' from file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\modules\linda-cfg/aircrafts/FSX Default/config-mcp.lua': This is happening with all planes, default and addon. Please help! Thanks a lot! Micha
