I currently have a 24 inch Dell monitor andI am running P3D v4.1. I am thinking now of purchasing a new wide screen monitor which will replace my Dell monitor. The one I am looking at is the Samsung GH 90 monitor which is the 49 inch version,3480x10980 resolution with a 32.9 aspect ratio. The question that I am looking to find the answer for is whether or not I would be able to run P3D on such a large wide screen monitor at this resolution and aspect ratio. I am using a GTX 1080 card I am not that 'techy' so please forgive me if the answer is obvious but I have always fancied 3 monitors together in order to improve the wider view and this monitor seemed to maybe be the answer. As far as my PC is concerned I have an Intel 7 4790K Haswell 4ghz,Samsung 1TB hard drive and Corsair 16GB of memory. Many thanks in anticipation of any replies. Michael

Hi Gerald, Many thanks for your reply. Yes, I received the DVD’s in order to put the files on my PC and I used the term downloading as the information of the numerous DVD’ was being downloaded from them. My P3D sim has always been on my C drive and have never encountered any problems. As far as the rest of your comments are concerned I have done everything that you mentioned. I have now gone back to the Flighsimstore support people for their help and I am still waiting for them to come back to me.

Yes,I installed as normal off the DVD’s and ran the set up and followed the instructions. All the DVD’s were downloaded and the product is on my PC and in my scenery library as I have already described and they are in the correct position in the library. However the active= false is shown against each of the scenery entries and I am wondering whether I should manually alter this to True to make it work. I would appreciate further help please. HI Vic, I purchased originally the download version but because the size of the download was so huge I encountered problems so I paid a bit extra and ordered and received the DVD version instead from FlightSimStore. Hoping this might help. Michael

Hi, Again thanks for your reply. I just downloaded from the DVD's and that was it. I am just wondering in that you say that you too have the DVD version and I am just curious to see whether or not within your scenery cfg folder you have your entries as Active=True or False. If you have True I am also wondering if it is safe for me to manually alter my scenery cfg folder in respect of these entries. Anyway,it would be great if you can come back to me. Michael

Thanks for your reply. Please forgive my ignorance but I just downloaded the DVD's straight on to my PC. Could you please enlighten me as to what you mean by the installer download latest version. Please forgive me if the answer is obvious. Just one final point and that is if I changed the scenery cfg entry Active=False and manually altered that entry to True would that make the difference? I have just downloaded via 19 dvd's the above product and is on my C Drive even though I placed the dvd's on my D Drive. Anyway the product shows within my scenery library and is positioned in the right place. However,when I fire up P3D v4.1 I get the following message; Could not find Scenery Area 100's scenery directory C:\FSGU_NG\OCE\Scenery and the same for the next 7 entries. I then have to say yes to unloading the areas for P3d to open up. Now,I notice in my scenery cfg file all 7 entries show the following; Active=False Required =False. I have done something wrong but not sure what it is and would appreciate some assistance please. Many thanks in anticipation. Michael

For some reason I do not get the Frame Rate Counter in P3D v4. I press shift +Z as usual but nothing happens. Most strange and would appreciate any guidance please. Michael

I have UT2 installed in my P3D v4 sim and it is working. However when flying on Vatsim I am only seeing the default models and when I open up the Model Matching section UT2 is not showing up in there. In P3D v3 there was not a problem but for some reason there is now. Would appreciate some help/guidance please. Michael

At random intervals my VC cockpit view will suddenly change to an outside view and then when I move my mouse it reverts the view back to the VC. This is most strange and I am wondering whether anyone can assist please. Michael

I have finally got Chaseplane working fine but I do not see any VAS data showing. Can someone assist please. Michael

Another update I go into the Sim middle click the mouse button click on 'Open Chaseplane' but the main menu light is still red and not green even though the middle mouse button works and gives me the various options. Any help would be appreciated. Michael

A further update. I finally enabled Chaseplane to work in the Sim and set up my camera positions and binded them to certain keys. I then closed down my sim and when I opened up again Chaseplane did not connect and therefore could not use the cameras. Most strange! Further observations would be most welcome. Michael

Hi Keven, I have just gone into the Registry Editor and P3D v4 is ticked along with FSUIPC and then when I click on the 3 dots I then go to my P3D v4 folder click on it and yet the path in the Registry Editor still shows C\ rather than C\P3D v4. Further help would be appreciated. Michael

Hi again, Sorry for my ignorance. I have now opened VFX Central>Preferences>Registry Editor and it shows my valid sim as being FSX and P3D V4 but as far as P3D V4 is concerned it shows my sim path as being C\ where it should show C\Prepar3D v4\. FSUIPC is ticked. I am therefore wondering how to correct this path in the Registry Editor as I guess that this is the reason that I cannot launch in the sim. Michael

I have just purchased Chaseplane to use in my P3D V4 sim. I have gone into Preferences and then General and the only Auto Launch button that comes alive is with FSX,the other 4 buttons including P3D V4 do not respond and remain greyed out and therefore I cannot connect to the Sim. Would appreciate any help please. I am using the 0.390 Beta Exp. version. Many thanks. Michael

I have been using PFPX with P3D v3 and exporting flight plans with no issues into my PMDG aircraft. I have just installed P3D v4 having now uninstalled v3 and today tried out PFPX in order to load a flight . I have loaded a flight plan into PMDG but when I go into the aircraft the flight plan is not there and nor are my previous flight plans. In addition when I first tried it this morning when I entered an alternative destination it's crashed PFPX but eventually the problem resolved itself. I am therefore seeking help in order to solve my export issue. Many thanks in advance. Michael
