  1. I am getting a message when starting the sim offering me an update in respect of the object flow module. I have read before that this can cause various sim issues. Can someone confirm that this latest update is safe to install. Many thanks. Michael

  5. I have just completed a fresh download and have followed the correct processes and have placed P3D in my C drive and again P3D will not open on my desktop screen, the blue screen just hangs there as before. Now,I am really at a loss. Further help would be appreciated. Michael
  6. Thanks for your recent replies. I am currently doing a full download again and have deleted all files from P3D and will therefore do a full re-install. Will let you know if it does the trick. Michael
  7. HI Bob, Yes maybe you are right and this what I will have to do. Thanks, Michael
  8. Hi Elaine, Many thanks, will come back to you. Michael Hi Elaine, I have gone into my folders as you suggested but some of the files within these folders are missing and are not quite the same as yours. Before I go any further any thoughts on this. Michael
  9. Hi Elaine, Many thanks for your reply. Yes,I completely uninstalled Version 3.1 and removed the 5 folders. I did the complete install of version 3.2 and ran the Prepar3D exe and can confirm that P3D is being run as admin. I have added P3D to my exclusions zone in my ant virus software. I have full control in my permissions folder in my C drive and can confirm that the client, scenery, content and academic client all installed OK. Any further help/support would be appreciated. Michael
  10. Hi Bob, I uninstalled my FSDT airports together with GSX and deleted the add on manager. Any further observations would be welcome. Michael
  11. Hi Maarten, No,deleting the CFG does not solve the problem. Any other thoughts/comments would be appreciated. Michael
  12. I have downloaded Version 3.2 as a complete new download after deleting all of my add on's and therefore a complete new install having had version 3.1 previously. I downloaded 3.2 with no issues, extracted all the files and then run the set up button and decided to place into my C drive inside a new folder Prepar3D,I was told that this is the best place to install the sim. I then successfully activated the product on line and the normal P3D Academic blue screen appeared and the line went across 'generating scenery files ' etc. However,my problem is that the the Sim does not open, the blue P3D screen just stays there and hangs for ever. I am really at a loss as to where to go from here. Also I have downloaded the latest SDK file and have placed it in the same Prepar3D folder in my C drive as mentioned above and I am not sure if that is right. Anyway, obviously something is wrong somewhere and I would appreciate any help/observations please. I am running Windows 7 OS. Many thanks in anticipation. Michael
  13. I have just updated the sim to version 3.2 but after a few minutes the sim crashes to desktop with the app error named Stackhash. This has only occurred following the 3.2 install and apart from a complete reinstall do not know where to go next. Any advice/ comments would be appreciated and many thanks in advance. Michael
  14. Many thanks for all your replies. I now fully understand. Michael
  15. Thanks for your reply. I am talking about using P3D and not a controller like FSUIPC. In relation to F6 and F7 are you saying that to extend the flaps incrementally that I click on F6for each stage of flaps and the same with F7 for retracting them. Also can I assign any other key apart from these two to the job or not. Would appreciate further comments. Michael
  16. Can someone tell me how to set up the flaps to work incrementally within P3D. By this I mean to go through each of the flaps stages and not to go from Flaps Up to Full Flaps Down in one action. I would appreciate any help please. Michael
  17. Problem now solved. Installed via the 6 discs-3rd time lucky. Thanks for the help. Michael
  18. Thanks for your reply and pleased that you were able to download via the 6 discs. As a matter of interest once you had completed the download could you let me know how you finished the rest of the install process because this is where I cam unstuck. Many thanks. Michael
  19. Thanks for your replies. Stryker, could I ask you where you have the download version installed on your PC? Michael
  20. I am wondering if someone can help me. I have recently purchased the above via 6 DVD discs I downloaded the discs with no issues but the problem occurs when trying to complete the install. I select P3D v3.0 as my version although I am running 3.1,I then select all continents, then select C Drive for the installation and then get the following message; 'An error ocurred whilst executing install action # 149 installation will be rolled back. I checked in my scenery library and the entries were there but they were marked as errors as the path did not exsist. I am some what perplexed and do not know where to go from here and any help/comments would be greatly appreciated. Also, within my P3D where should FS Global 2010 FTX be situated? Many thanks in anticipation. Michael
  21. Many thanks, I now understand and I appreciate your help. Regards, Michael
  22. Thanks for your reply. Yes,I intend to purchase the Throttlenek 737 quadrant and to connect to my PC via a direct USB connection, not linking it to the yoke. My Saitek Yoke does have USB ports as you said and if I just purchased USB cables and then connected the Yoke to my PC would that be OK. Your confirmation would be appreciated. Michael
  23. Hi Jaques, Many thanks for your reply and your time. Currently my Saitek Yoke is Connected to the Saitek Throttle Quadrant by a pin connection. On the back of the Yoke there are 3 HDMI ports. Am I right in saying that all I need to do to retain my yoke is to buy an HDMI lead and then attach it to my PC and then I am good to go apart from re configuring within P3D. Would appreciate confirmation if this is what I need to do in order to have the Saitek Yoke as a stand alone product. I apologise again if the answer is obvious. Kind regards, MIchael
  24. I hope that this is the right forum to ask this question. I currently still use P3d v2.5 and I use the Saitek pro flight yoke and quadrant. However,I am looking to purchase the Throttlenek 737 throttle quadrant whilst keeping the Pro Flight Yoke. Currently the Yoke is connected to my throttle quadrant and I am therefore wondering whether I can still keep my Yoke whilst having a different throttle quadrant to replace the Saitek quadrant. I apologise if the answer is obvious and thank you in anticipation. Michael
