February 23, 201610 yr Can someone tell me how to set up the flaps to work incrementally within P3D. By this I mean to go through each of the flaps stages and not to go from Flaps Up to Full Flaps Down in one action. I would appreciate any help please. Michael Michael Broom
February 23, 201610 yr Author Thanks for your reply. I am talking about using P3D and not a controller like FSUIPC. In relation to F6 and F7 are you saying that to extend the flaps incrementally that I click on F6for each stage of flaps and the same with F7 for retracting them. Also can I assign any other key apart from these two to the job or not. Would appreciate further comments. Michael Michael Broom
February 23, 201610 yr F5 retract fully F8 extend fully F7 extend incrementally one click at a time F6 retract incrementally " " " " "' " same as FSX most aircraft would have levers/gauges that can be manipulated via the mouse. Best to keep assignments where they are set. I use buttons on my Logitech joystick for flaps up and down as well as the elevators (tail down nose up)
February 23, 201610 yr Searching the control section in p3d for incremental would probably point you directly to it. The default setting is indeed extend F7, retract F6.
February 23, 201610 yr No by controller I mean using, for instance, a joystick with a number of programmable buttons. As has been mentioned, F6 and F7 are the default and yes, you can add your own keyboard mappings.
