Can I just ask as getting the Mobo Z97 - A I7 - 4790k 4.0 Ghz Corsair H100i How easy /not so easy is this to build with thermal paste etc.... how much, where, what paste etc... Having never done anything like this before in my life I really want to be going into this eyes open any advice ? Craig

I have I think 480 GB SSD ill buy a 256 GB Plus my 500 GB HDD I really need more ? Im going to run with that cheaper than I expected too. I should be flying again in no time. thanks for all your help so far Craig

Yeah the for me ( dredded tweeting ) as I have no idea what I am doing. but ill post again when the time is right and get some help on tweeking and what to tweek. My Current set up + £800 spending on it will be I7 4790k Corsair HX 750 ( have ) 16GB Corsair Vengeance1600mhz ( have ) Nvidia GTX 770 -4GB H-100i SSD 480 GB ( have ) Corsair Vengeance C70 CD-Drive ( have ) 500 GB HDD ( have ) MoBo Z97 - A That set up will set me back £800 overclocking I wouldn't do as I dont no what I am doing. Would you say all this would be enough ? Will be flying PMDG ORBX Europe mainly. also the usually difficult landings over the world. Craig

So I posted not so long ago "Advice" about upgrading my current computer to work much better with FSX. After totting it all up GPU, MoBo, Hydro Cooler, Intel I7, C70 Case, £800 give or take. Now I have been thinking if I were to build a computer from scratch. What would you recommend £1500 to play with at a stretch. Craig

I have been away from fsx for well over 12months. I am not starting my return and I have noticed that there is now a REX 4. Wow! I have just watched a video on YouTube and well I was well impressed. on my REX ( not 4 as I don't have this yet ) my clouds would look what I call flat bottom clouds and was annoying to say the least. After seeing this new video of rex4 I noticed the clouds look real no more flat bottom ( maybe this was my set up ? ) Anyway what I would like to know is If using REX 4 what is the strain on your computer compared to REX. Do you need some kind of mega machine to run this new software Craig

So I have another question. my intentions are to get H100i Corsair Intel I7 4790k Asus Z97 - A MIS Geforce GTX 770 Twin Frozr 4GB The PSU I already have is a Corsair HX 750 now will this be enough to power my computer or will I need to upgrade the PSU too ? Craig

Hi. With PMDG I started with the 747 then on to the 737. Not got over to the 777 as yet but maby a great xmas gift lol. PMDG also do great training packages and you cant go wrong with PMDG. You will have many many hours fun ahead of you. Enjoy Craig

Thank you for the reply. I have now AMD phenom 964 3.4ghz as standard and a friend has an intel not sure what one but I know its less than mine mine also has 4 cores and his as 3. I have noticed that he seems to get better game play on fsx than I do. Now I know the reason Oh just checked out the GTX 770 there are so many types ? would I be better with a 2gb or will fsx use 4gb ? fsx is all that will be played on this computer Ill check them places out thanks for your advice Craig

What is that at standard ? 3.6 or 4 Ghz ? so wouldn't the AMD at 4.7 be a better choice or am I missing something ? Also when it comes to the GPU would I be better off with one at 2gb or 2x 1gb running SLI what I am after is the cheapest option that would work also I wont be doing any overclocking ( as I don't no how the hell too ) lol Any recommendations as where to buy ? only places I know Scan overclockers Craig

Hi, Its been a while since the last time I posted on this forum and a very long time from when I last flew in FSX. So I started a while back to upgrade my System I got as far as RAM PSU Corsair HX750 SSD Then stopped and never got round to doing the rest due to lack of time Now I want to upgrade my CPU MOBO Cooling I have been reading a little about CPU's am I right in thinking that the more GHZ the better ? I was looking at the AMD FX 4.7Ghz with Turbo 5Ghz But I have noticed a lot of people are mentioning Intel i7 ?? Awhile back when I was upgrading all people use to talk about was how i5 was better than the i7 am I right this is no longer the case Can anyone recommend a good CPU-MOBO Cooling maybe H100 ? Would I be better with an intel 4.6 or AMD 4.7 Craig

Hi, I figured it out shortly after posting , I guess I should have said really, what I found was the spoilers wont deploy at all when the aircraft isint moving. I had just set my controls up and wanted to check they worked before flight, in the end I got fed up put throttle on and then the spoilers deployed, after that they work as normal strange I don't no how but they work so good enough for me , thanks again

Hi, just some advice really, Im looking at getting a traffic addon for FSX, Now I normally only fly the Pmdg 737 any programs you would recommend as there are so many out there, I can also get a copy of my traffic 2007 old I know but its free, worth a try or upgrade to a newer version ?

Hi, just in the middle of trying to set my Saitek system up now on the throttle I have got the right hand leaver set as flaps all working fine 0-flaps at top and full at bottom, I have also got my throttle middle lever working fine including reverse thrust the problem I am having is when I try to apply spoilers I can get them on but not off no matter what I do with the lever when I move it back and forth in v/c mode the leaver just twitches can someone please point me in the right direction as am sure this is an easy fix if you know how

Hi, I have always used flight simulator I don't get on it as much as I use too as production as stopped with flight simulator and Xplane seems to be the thing I was wondering is it worth me making the switch from fsx ?? what's xplane like on the system ? just wanting some advice really thanks craig

yeah that's what am after something to get it out the way when not in use. I have the sitek throttle quadrant pro flight ruder pedals and yoke am not sure of the model its the one where the throttle and yoke come as a package, yeah I have the clamps however I have nothing to clamp it on to, and a big desk in the middle of my conservatory wouldn't look that good , just after some ideas and solutions really, there is a "wheel stand pro" but £100 seems a bit steep to me
