  1. Hello all, I would like your advice on which PC spec you would suggest to use for the use of P3D V3.1. Option 1: Tower/Case: ENTHOO EVOLV ATX (Aluminum (3mm) Exterior, Steel Chassis) Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z97x-UD5H SLI Ready Motherboard Processor: Intel i7 4790k Devils Canyon Quad Core Cooling: Kuhler H2o 620 water cooler Memory: 16GB DDR3 SSD: 480GB Graphics Card: nVidia GTX 980 Ti 6GB PCI-E (EVGA) Power Supply: Corsair 650w power supply Windows 10 Pro Option 2: Case:RAZOR NZXT. The main differences are the CPU and GPU brand. I would use UK2000, Orbx, REX, Aerosoft Airbus, PMDG etc... Greatly appreciate your input. Thanks.
  2. Long story cut short, I have lost my CDs. I have a 32 bit system, and on that HDD I have FS2004 installed and working. If I were to copy and paste the entire FS2004 folder into Program Files (x86) (New 64-bit HDD PC) and bring over the FS2004 registry, would this work? Would I have to tweak the registry? Cheers.
  3. Thank you for your quick replies! If I do go ahead with it, I will pay £400 for it. My max budget is £400, would anyone be able to put a similar performance build together? Cheers
  4. Been tinkering around on different suppliers websites and thought about this build. I'm pretty sure it can play FS9 without any lag or drop in FPS (<25). I want to know if it is FSX proof? I will have a resolution of 1920x1200 or 1920x1080. Can you advise me of the performance of FS9 and FSX please? New spec: Secondly, I would need to clone my current HDD and place that onto the new HDD. As the new build comes with Win 7 64-bit and I use W7 32-bit, will the clone be 100% accurate? For example 64-bit has a different folder for Program Files (x86) and normal folder. If I placed the new image across, would the folder structure change or stay the same? Also, would the registry stay the same? I made a repository for FSINN on a 32bit system, does the same structure apply on 64-bit?
  5. I use FS9 at 1280*800 and can get between 18 to 25FPS. Changed it to 1920*1200 and I can get 15FPS or so... I will look into the suggestion regarding a combo deal for motherboard, cpu etc...
  6. Hello all, I have a decent spec PC for FS9 and my addons. I have acquired a new Apple Thunderbolt display and setting FS9 to full resolution, results in low FPS. So, instead of reverting down to a smaller resolution or a smaller screen at the same small resolution, I thought a new processor and/or graphics card wold be suffice? I own an ASUSTek Leonite Motherboard with a Core 2 Duo E6300 Conroe (Socket 775 LGA) at 1.86GHz. I don't want to overclock as the motherboard is restricted by Compaq's flashed BIOS..? I also own a NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT and 4GB of System RAM. I have seen some Socket 775 LGA CPUs on eBay, in some instances double the frequency! In order to use the new screen, using FS9 at a higher resolution, what PC part should I replace? TIA.
