  1. With an older i7-3770K and a new 980Ti, I recently went from a 24" 1920x1200 to a new Dell U3425W at 3440X1440. Keeping the settings the same in 3.2, I saw no perceivable difference in frame rates (perhaps 3-4), but what you gain in visual immersion... wow! I was afraid I would have to get a new system (6700K) to push it, and while it would be faster, I am quite happy with the performance I currently get. On a side-note, adjusting to the Wide-Angle mode took some time, but there is no going back!
  2. Forkboy's solution worked perfectly. I know it being on the old mechanical drive doesn't help performance, but this was an easy fix to get traffic back in the simulator. THANK YOU! One Caveat, at least in my case... I didn't actually have an EXE.xml file as listed as item number 3 to edit. So, I simply copied the EXE.xml file from my "****\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\" folder to the "****\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\" folder. Started up and works like a charm. This will keep me satisfied until something better and more updated comes along. Thanks for the easy solution!
