I agree Appliance... I too am more of a tube pilot focusing on realistic global operations.... In fact it takes me around 20mins just to SETUP a flight with all the planning, Simcharts, weather forecasting, FSpassanger ect. I was just recently feeling like some free flying around the Philippines using Dash 7s, and YS 11's. This is when i notice the touchzones... I dont need them, but it was more about the realism of graphics. Thanks for your help Mate. I know some issues just cant be resolved, but i wanted to see what the community through, or if it was just my Sim. Happy flying. BD

Hi All, Thank you again for your persistence. Appliance, thanks for your advise. I am only using the default cessna as an example. All others are the same as well. Changing the zoom, or scrolling the mouse wheel forward or back is the same thing in the end. I have tried the .75 zoom, which of course has a slight improvement on the distance of which the runway detail is viewable.. But still reduces the ability to see all the gauges. It sounds like Iwebber has the exact same problem. I am wondering is it just a limitation of FS9, or is this a settings, config related issue.... We should be able to see the runway details from fairly far out i would have thought. For some reason i have only noticed it now, and i have been simming for 25yrs. What about you Appliance? Approx how far out can you see the runways touch zones, and details? And at what zoom? I have uploaded more test images just for reference. Hey Jon_aus, No offence, but i'm fairly sure FS9 VC default is .50 zoom... If yours is different, i will be confused.. I have never changed any defaults... The 2D is 1.00 Zoom for sure no doubt. Still thank you for your reply, and i appreciate all help.. BD

Once again...Thanks for your assistance Appliance. I understand what you mean regarding the point of view, and also the Shift/return functions. I use them all the time... I think the images will explain it better... Its really a matter of the details on the runway viewed in distance, and or, the zoom. As mentioned above, i fly in VC at .5 Zoom which is standard i think for everyone... Thanks for the reply Appliance... I have tried Active Camera, and Walk and Follow to no avail. Not ready to invest in TrackIR just yet. I am attaching 2 images to show the difference. Both taken from the same distance from the runway, with first being .50 Zoom, the second at 1 Zoom. I understand how active camera and walk & follow works, however neither change the distance drawing of the runway detail... Its the touchdown zone which is not showing in .50 Zoom, but is in 1 Zoom. Open the images fully to see what i mean. I have searched every forum and google for answers, with no results. Any further help is much appreciated....Thanks so much guys. Brocky D

Hi All, This is my first post, so i am hoping someone can help me. I've noticed in FS9, the zoom in VC is set default .50 Zoom. Now i like this zoom distance, however i have notice the details of the touchdown zone on runways don't appear until you are approx 1 to .5 Miles out. Its really annoying because it just looks like a blank runway until you are really close, and can't use them for reference. If i change the zoom to 1, it appears much further out, which is perfect, however i can't see all my gauges due to the added zoom. Has anyone else noticed this, or better yet, has anyone been able to resolve the issue? FYI, i have a very high powered PC with all full settings running AA and all with 50 FPS... Additionally, i have tweaked my CFG with all the recommendations online. Thanks in advance. Brocky D

Hi All, Firstly what a great model\panel you have created... It absoluty rivals even the best of payware models..... This may be a silly question, but i have to ask..... How do i get the spoilers working with defaul FS keys like / or a button on a joystick? I have read all the manuals, which says it already should work, but everytime i try i says wings expanding\folding very quickly and nothing happens... Any help is very appreciated.
