GeForce cards tend to be optimized better for gaming, and in general for performance, along with typically lower temperatures compared to AMD products, same serves for Intel vs AMD. At that price range, the GTX750 is a good choice, I just upgraded from a GTX650 that ran PMDG very well. Granted, it was with the 737 NGX, but maxed out, it still achieved 30 FPS easily. The GTX750 can be had for around $150, and if you wanted to spend a little more, You can get an EVGA GTX960 on TD for $240 USD. EVGA is my preferred brand, but MSI, ASUS, Galaxy (Galax on some products), and PNY are all good choices. Whatever you get, make sure your CPU is strong enough, because that's where FSX hits your system the hardest. Good luck on your search!

Ok, I made one of the big rookie mistakes with reinstalling a program. When I reinstalled FSX on a new user account on my computer to get the NGX working, I didn't reinstall SB4. Just tested her out and she appears to be working fine.

The plane is sitting at the gate, fully loaded. I've tried with it fully started and Cold and Dark. I've always run it as a standalone program, never within FSX

I wish I could say that, but I can't. I switched the frequencies, tried using the COM2 radio, no luck. Neither radio worked, even when switching the active and standby frequencies.

I have been flying the NGX for the past week or so, and am SO happy I bought the plane. My first flight was offline, and then decided to fly on VATSIM. When I tried to change the radios to talk to controllers, they changed in the plane, but not in Squawkbox. Are there any special settings I need to put in place? FSINN isn't an option, it doesn't play nice with my computer. I hope I'm not just being an idiot with the plane, thanks in advance!

While trying to set a constant altitude in the LEGS page before a step climb in the FMC, the plane shut off LNAV, and went to MCP controlled mode. When I removed all of these altitudes, the speed and altitude lines on the LEGS page remained blank, and the VNAV page had MCP active across the top, and no VNAV information anywhere. Is there a way to get the VNAV info to return in mid-flight right here, or did I basically screw up and have to control it by hand the rest of the way when that happens?
