January 14, 201313 yr I have been flying the NGX for the past week or so, and am SO happy I bought the plane. My first flight was offline, and then decided to fly on VATSIM. When I tried to change the radios to talk to controllers, they changed in the plane, but not in Squawkbox. Are there any special settings I need to put in place? FSINN isn't an option, it doesn't play nice with my computer. I hope I'm not just being an idiot with the plane, thanks in advance! Sam Engler
January 14, 201313 yr I'm going to hazard a guess you weren't pressing the TFR switch to the left of the selector knobs that makes that frequency go from the STANDBY box to the ACTIVE one. No additional setup is required to get the NGX working on VATSIM. Luke Harvest

Neither radio worked, even when switching the active and standby frequencies. Sam Engler

If it is working with other aircraft try reinstalling the NGX. Luke Harvest
January 14, 201313 yr I have found that if you start SB from within the simulation it has problems. Try starting SB from a icon on your desktop. Jerry Sterner
January 14, 201313 yr Author Just confirming your using SB4? When are you starting SB? The plane is sitting at the gate, fully loaded. I've tried with it fully started and Cold and Dark. I've always run it as a standalone program, never within FSX Sam Engler
January 14, 201313 yr I start it within FSX and I haven't run into any issues. I haven't tried SB4 stand alone in years but I understand most folks run it stand alone. I remember an issue a long time ago concerning the battery running out and causing issues with the comms. Do you have FSUIPC? If so do you have the battery option checked that ensures that battery never runs out? George Morris

When I reinstalled FSX on a new user account on my computer to get the NGX working, I didn't reinstall SB4. Just tested her out and she appears to be working fine. Sam Engler
