  1. Hi there, I want to share my knowledge and learn something from yourself. I am going through an IFR course and setting up a sim to help develop a proper scan, memorise routines, try various emergencies and so on. After learning that iPad can be used to control the instruments like radio and navs from the touchscreen, I thought, a nice pc could do the whole instrument panel on one big touch screen. That worked, so i wanted connect it to another pc that would also provide an outside view on a big tv screen. Well... FSX multiplayer - a bit fiddly, but works the best of the below. It is really smooth. You can run VOXATC and it will inject ATC and traffic. It can not re-plays or share the cockpit of the A2A... OPUS FSI - stutters, the client application just stutters the major computer on the liveview test itself!? Embarrassing, considering that FSX shared cockpit pass a lot more information and does it smoothly. Wideview - another kind of stutters. If i tick the 'smooth' option, it runs better, but creates a lag. FSxpand - the gauges are not looking real, lots of customisation is required, £80, ha? Air Manager - the gauges look better but jumpy, not smooth, sometimes too sensitive or work in reverse, not stable - a lot of coding is required. Well, the best experience so far is FSX shared cockpit with VOXATC...
  2. Well guys I'm back from fsweekend Lelystad and have some good news on ffb yokes if you are interested. First I would recommend it to anyone who never been there before visit the nxt year show - you will get many chances to put your hands on the craziest (best in the world) set ups you may only envision and discuss them with the authors - people who are at the top of simming and left no stone unturned. Flight Illusion was there (big respect to you guys!!!) with all three ffb yokes from their range. Brunner and Iris were not there probably because their product was not ready to go public, in beta or other development - they are off the market for me. But there was Roland - the genius - a professional engineer! I saw his full motion sim on YouTube before (www.simprojects.nl) but this time I could test it myself. No competition. Needless to say we want an ffb yoke to make us a better real world pilot. All we ask for is if we pull the yoke then trim it then continue hands off the yoke stays where we left it. Trimming is the essence of flying - nothing is more important to learn about flying yet many new pilots can not do it properly, do not bother and realise they missed the whole point after they move on to instrument rating, so the money is wasted and they have to start learning to fly from the beginning. Sims did not sim it either. Untill now. Roland’s set up does it with a smile on my grumpy face. To cut long story short I've learnt that ffb yoke is just a big piece of hardware. To make it work as described above it needs brains - a software that can live with fsx, the trim, etc. A useless or not properly configured soft will render any hardware useless. That is the challenge for all ffb yoke scientists right now. The MS FSX adds to the problem. Who wants to spend 1k on the hardware and the rest of his life configuring it and troubleshooting? I say, one needs to choose ffb yoke by 1. Software performance (pull-trim-hands off-doesn’t move a dot) 2. Price 3.Deflection range 3. Forces 4. Looks. I can only recommend Roland’s. Although he is still tuning the software - he is ahead in the game. He is Einstein of the flight simming and has no intention to make a business from it. Instead he offered me to contact a person (who was developing the software side) who can recreate his ffb yoke set up for the fractions of the cost of the Brunner Eco unit.
  3. Yes please, I would like to hear your experiences on Brunner and other ffb yokes very much. Given you're in direct competition with them you automatically earn out trust. Brunner and others been selling their units for quite a while. When I asked the first one for any customer feedback - our customers prefer to stay confidential was the response. So I checked the referee links on their website- waste of time. Then I asked about the return policies and agreed if I change my mind I pay for postage, then placed the order and got charged 155 euro postage and transaction charge on top of 1499 euro for E yoke. Well since fs weekend is this weekend I decided to come over and ask ppl about Brunner etc who appears not attending either. Very spooky business selling ffb yokes to simmers...
  4. So any of you (Iris Dynamics, Brunner, Flight Illusion) coming to FSweekend (http://www.fsweekend.com/index.php) to show your product? I am on the market for a ffb yoke however nobody has reviews for their product (apart from their owns). Is it so poor that your customers have nothing good to tell? Why are you hiding your products? I am close to gave up the idea and invest the money in more hours and sim with a joystick - which I believe is what I get to fly in the future real word.
  5. Do not miss on the European market for your FFB yoke!!! Hi guys. There is a major event coming for you on 1-2 November here in Europe/Amsterdam/Lelystad/FSweekend. It claims to be the "Worlds biggest international flihgt simulation event". Could you please bring your unit there? You may also solicit your customers near Amsterdam or a company that has already booked the spot to display it for you. At the end of the day, I may do it for you as I am going there anyway. The event is to earn the reputation for your product and find an European distributor. Missing it is like a crime agaist FS community.
  6. I agree that without seeing the reviews by an ordinary or credible customers it is insane to pay this money for the product that can easily go wrong or be not to the expectation. I was searching for any reviews on the Brunner ffb yokes – and nothing too. Those who are selling such products must have some idea of marketing, i.e. take one unit and go to the local air club, FAA event or any other sim or avia venues. There should be enough competent crowd who would like to try the marvel and comment. If they have a reputation in the community the word will spread so that you will get millions of orders, including the commercials. You can’t be serious expecting any orders by submitting you home-made youtube video praising your product and showing it moves.
  7. Yes, Gerard is a genius. I could not find any commercial vfr package for Belgium, and what do you know, there was the one by a very talented and generous person for free! Thanks a lot for helping me. I've downloaded and installed it now without any probs. It looks brill!
  8. Really, really appreciate it. Thank you very much!
  9. Thanks a lot!!! Will be patiently waiting.
  10. CoolP, since Gerard said he was happy for someone else to upload it, in his last email, would you be able to upload it for us? Is anything I can do to help you with it? I am preparing my flight to Belgium EBOS and EBGB from EGSX and would like to rehearse it a bit in FSX.
  11. Gerard, I'm too desperately looking for Belgium vfr scenery. Any chance I can download it from somewhere?
