  1. The direct answer to OP question in topic can be found on FAQ section for BATC and SayIntenstions:

    BATC:

    Is BeyondATC powered by AI?

We use the latest in AI technologies to process your voice, decide what the ATC should do, and generate highly realistic responses with AI voices. However, to keep the program affordable we do not use a LLM (Large Language Model) such as Gemini or ChatGPT.

    SayIntensions:
How much does it cost? Why do you have to charge a subscription fee?

$29.95/mo or $295 for a year. However, the price of AI services drops every few months, and we will pass those savings on to you when it happens. Because we're using modern, cutting-edge AI services, neural networks, insanely authentic voices, and machine learning, costs are incurred every time you communicate with ATC.

Any ATC service that offers their product for a one-time fee isn't using AI. Don't be fooled by claims to the contrary.

  2. Taking into account that AI services are not cheap (for now), we should not blame SayIntensions for the price they set.

  3. Had small break from the flight sim - what is general consensus regarding the FBW A32X vs iniBuilds A32X? Which one offers more "immersive" experience right now in terms of system depth, textures, sounds, integrations - etc. - overall experience? Thank you

  5. Don't you all think, we are approaching the best "time" for MSFS in terms of incoming Airliners that should be released in the near future? I mean:

    • iniBuilds A320 Neo this month
    • PMDG 777 ~up to 2 months
    • TFDi MD-11 ~2-3 months
    • iniBuilds A350 ~I guess up to 6 months
    • Bluebird 757 somewhere in 2024
    • FlyByWire A380 somwehere in 2024
    • Just Flight BAE Avro RJ
    • Just Flight Fokker 70/100
    • Aerosoft A330

Do not know if I forgot something? Anyways, great times ahead in the next 3-6 months

  6. Hello, I am giving a shot for this app thank you Reset XPDR for the tremendeous work.

Its difficult to read all thread, so have one question. What target FPS / Auto target FPS should I use in app if I have RTX 4080 (so native frame generation) and G-SYNC ultimate 144 Hz monitor?

  7. It seems that SayIntensions.AI now supports also the IFR procedures - please see Q8Pilot Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T65gSECBWxk

    Also per FAQ page: https://sayintentions.ai/faq/

    Quote

What kinds of ATC services are supported?

VFR is fully supported inside the United States. IFR is currently about 40% done, but it's "done enough" that you can use it for most phases of flight (arrival/descent are still in progress). Support for countries outside the United States is about 75% completed right now, with some work needing to be done on region-specific procedures.

  8. Following a thorough evaluation of the project, we have decided to shift the development and release of the A330 around the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This will allow us to greatly expand the focus of the project – including multiple engine options.
Additionally, both the CEO and NEO variants of the A330 will be released simultaneously.
Once we have more details to share, we will update you via this page.

  9. If the MSFS market is x2 / x5 / x100 / x1000 larger for PMDG, why PMDG (with +30 years of experience in Flight sim) cannot put more resources to work on different projects simultenously? After all PMDG is the most experienced exisitng flight sim company - they definitievely have resources and know how to develop and publish new aircrafts quicker than competition (with high quality).

Right now it looks like this: "We cannot full focus on 777/747 until all NG variants are released". After 737 NG released: "Ohh, we will full focus on 777/747 when UFT will be released". If the market is that attractive and demand for good aircraft is huge (747/777) I will put much more resources to hire good programmers and create indpendent teams to release 747/777 as quick as possible to earn more and more $$$

I just do not get it

  10. I am using addon linker and put all my addons outside community folder and link all neccessary addons I need for particular flight:

I created folder structure as follows:

    01_Aircrafts

    02_Scenery

        01_Airports

              Country 1

              Country n

       02_Other (landmarks, etc.)

    03_Utilities

    ------------------------------------------------------------

It looks like that: For particular airport I would like to keep this format: "ICAO_developer_version"

That is pretty much my position also.  I currently have three simulators installed (P3D4.5, P3D5.3 & MSFS2020).  With P3D6 announced that could become four. No way I want this to become five. It is all getting out of hand. But I think developers will move quickly to update to MSFS2024 (unlike the situation with P3D6) so hopefully there shouldn't be a need to keep both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024.

    Bruce

Just curious, why you have both - P3D 4.5 and 5.3 installed?

Honestly, I have no idea yet.

I don't even know what's MSFS 2024 is all about. Judging from the trailer/teaser they sent out, with the beginning "Are you ready to start your career in aviation" (or similar), I got the impression and can't really shake the feeling, that it's a more a career and/or mission-oriented version of MSFS 2020, which maybe also oriented towards more the casual gaming experience, with a more rigid structure in what to do - kinda like 'Flight' back in the days...

Then again, they've said, that all purchased (from the Marketplace) would port to the new platform (if that's the right word), which - in a way - goes against the above assumption.

If it really is an updated version of MSFS (like I kinda have the feeling that everybody's hoping or expecting), with all the same freedom and doesn't have any of the above mentioned/feared 'restrictions' or features, then I don't understand the need for it? Why have two platforms, simultaneously to maintain? Simply to get everybody to purchase it again, to make more money? Will the development of MSFS2020 stop or ?

Right now I simply don't have anough information, to make a qualified decision of whether or not to purchase it.

(Now - I may be reacting off 'old' information! I'm not at FSExpo23 (or whatever it's called) and haven't been catching up on all the latest developments; so please don't flag me too much... 🙂 )

You have to watch Asobo/MS presentation from FS Expo then - its on Youtube. Its waaaay more than "career in aviation" features.

Take his quoted figure with a pinch of salt, yet Jorg said 3 million of these (so 1/4) are "core simmers."

This is great for two reasons:

    1. Despite its issues, this is a healthy number of keen flight simmers that will keep asking/demanding for realism wherever we can get it.
    2. Nine million casual users/'gamers' are helping to financially support the platform to give the core flights simmers more content. Whether that's a more realistic look to the digital Earth, new dynamic content such as live shipping, road traffic, migrating animals, new weather features such as tornadoes or supercells, or 'gamey' missions.
As an 'old hand' with 25+ years of flight simming under my belt, I can see myself trying some of these missions, as seen in the Xbox teaser trailer, to give some variety to my simming experience.

    Great summary F737MAX!

The new physics and atmospherics surely mean quite some updates are needed for third party aircraft though, me thinks.

Jorg stated different. The new physic is like "adding new blocks" for developers. It means that all aircraft released for MSFS 2020 will be compatible, but if for example PMDG would like to utilise new physics they will have to update their product line

  15. Key takeways from Asobo & MSFS 2024:

MSFS series (from 1982) had players base of 40m simmers. For MSFS 2020 its c.a. 12m simmers

Jorg stated that from these 12m simmers, 3m are "serious simmers", 3m are "casual" and the rest are "casual gamers". For this audience they decided that MSFS 2024 should focus on "real life pilots activities" - so they can be engaged and have more reasons to fly

They also stated that because of WU etc. MSFS is "heavier" so with MSFS 2024 they would like to move more and more to the "cloud" so every simmer will have on HDD installed most necessary components of MSFS. They also stated that almost all present addons will be back compatible. Few "bullets" from Asobo presentation:

Only download what is needed/cached to HDD

reduced footprint on hdd & internet usage

    reduced installation & loading times

helps keep the min spec low

backward compatible, community folder still there

Until my numerous add-ones are compatible (PMDG, FS Labs, Quality Sims, etc,) I’ll stick wit 5.3.  What’s another month or 2 or perhaps infinity?

Based on changelog and nature of particular addons, only 3 addons need the update:

    - FS Labs

    - ChasePlane

    - ActiveSky

Other addons (PMDG, other aircrafts) should work
