Reporting traffic
I usually fly a mooney bravo with no first officer. I simply use MCE for a more relalistic communication with ATC. I commony fly Hawaii and souterhn Florida 9Approach to West Paml beach). I will try turnig on the FO and see what his verbage is to ATC to confirm aircraft in sight, but I beleive it is what is usually typed on the screen from native FSX.

Reporting traffic
My problem is that I get no response after I report 'traffic in sight'. The ATC window still shows the options for reporting. So to clkear it I have to choose option 2 and it reports and clears the ATC responses.

Reporting traffic
Does anyone else have trouble responding to traffic alerts? No matter what I do, when ATC warns me of traffic I can't seem to get a reaction when reporting traffic in sight or don't have the traffic, etc.

screen flicker
I will check when I get home, but I think I already have it set to minimize but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

screen flicker
I know I have seen this addressed somewhere before, but can't find it. when using MCE (lite version) with FSX, whenever I change views, when I return to the cockpit, I get numerous flickers of the screen (2-4) before everything goes to normal. Everything else works great. I beleive one fix was to go out of full screen mode, but that takes away from the realism and messes with my tripple screen display. Any other fix for this? Does the full version have the same issue? FSX MCE lite Windows XP SP3 Dual core AMD 6000 NVIDIA 8800 GTX

How much difference
I have a propriatery motherboard made by Asus for HP ( A8m2n-la) with a Athlon 64 X2 5200 2.6 Ghz processor and a Nvidia 8800 GTS 512 video card 4 Gig DDR2 667 Ram running XP SP3 and FSX. The motherboard is upgraded to the latest bios but does not allow ovedrclocking. I tried it with ntune and it does bring the processor up to 2.7 Ghz, but it is not enough to smooth out FSX (it stutters in turns). My framerates are not too bad. Taking off from JFK, I fluctuate from 19-30 FPS. I can't afford to upgrade my MB at the present time, but I can upgrade my processor. The Max my board can take is the X2 6400 @3.2 Ghz. Can I see any benefit from upgrading from 2.6 to 3.2 Ghz? I am also looking at a X2-6000 3.1 Ghz, but it only has 1 Mg cache (2 x 512) but the x2 6400 has 2 Meg cache (2 x 1024) will the cache make that much of a difference in performance?

[old] LINDA v1.13 released!
I just loaded Linda to get better contol of my switches and it works great. The only problem I am having is that Linda opens in full screen modewith some of the window extended below the visible part of the screen. I can't reduce the window to see the whole screen. When adding fsx general functions, the window seems to have more commands off screen but I am not sure. Is this a bug when running under XP or am I doing something srong?
