Thank you philabos. I seem to be getting somewhere now! -
fsx-ms What does it take to fully uninstall FSX-MS?
sgwestrip posted a topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Having uninstalled FSX-MS, cleaned the registry using CC Cleaner and even given the registry the once over manually as well, I am still faced with the problem that FTX Global wants to install into my FSX-MS directory and not FSX-SE. Do I need to rename the directory? It still has a few directories/files I want to keep until I have fully migrated to FSX-SE. Right now I have no FSX installed that really works and it looks like a fresh Windows install and start all over (not motivated to do that though) -

No "/" on the Q400 FMS and A's and B's not allowed either when entering an FL, only numbers. -
FMS flight levels - how to enter them
sgwestrip replied to sgwestrip's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
That is strange. If you set up VNAV for a waypoint that is near your destination you quite often see the flight level with an up or down arrow next to it. From what you have just said the conclusion is that the FMS can use altitude restrictions (above and below) but you cannot manually enter them. Very strange!! -

I take it you have no idea about the flight levels then? -
I know how to enter absolute flight levels for any particular waypoint but I cannot find out what the format is to add, say, '6000 feet or below' or '6000 feet and above' or how to add speed restrictions. Thanks, Stephen Westrip

This is great news. Stop me having to mutate into an octopus to fly the thing!!

I am just starting to use FS2Crew and I am having a problem in that Windows is picking up what I say and also trying to interpret it. I have windows popping open trying to switch applications, FSX sometimes minimizes itself, etc., all as a result of my voice commands. All help gratefully received! Thanks, Stephen Westrip

P3D has no consumer product and reading how PMDG will be licensing their products for P3D they could be expensive. They are still saying that for home entertainment the license they offer will be for FSX. PMDG have announced that they are developing for X-Plane as well.
