Richard - are you usually so hostile to newcomers ?

Sorted now Zowen. Saved panel state as start of runway so I can start flying immediately. Speaking of the transponder. Mine only goes up to 1700 ...not 2200 ? Interesting you play the piano - do you think the patience that it required you to play ( and get the best out of) attracted you to PMDG /FSX rather than 'easier' games ?

thats understandable - the irony is , the FMC setup is what I get right , some of the problems with the overhead are just from me rushing. Saving panel state does not seem to save the FMC state, should it ?

I have tried to set up the cockpit prior too takeoff 3 times now and I inevitably ended up messing up by turning the APU off by accident (causing a never ending alarm) and the other time (i think) turning standby power off. Stupid mistakes , but I would like to fly the route without the hour of cockpit checks before hand just to see what the route is like. I have loaded the 'takeoff' EMAM-LOWI flight, the CDU though is not setup at all. Did PMDG not included an already setup CDU to load ? thanks..

I have checked the settings you suggested. I used the venetubo cfg which set them up ok. I am sure though, as the ngx manual states, that DX10 is hard on a system, it would be nice to uncheck it without my panel disapearing (VC)

Getting to grips with tutorial 2 at the moment. 1) I can't seem to start the sim in the 'cold and dark' setting. Even when saving it in the panel save in the CDU. Whenever I start, the engines are running and the panels are up and running. The 2nd tutorial suggests I start the 'Tutorial 2 #2 EHAM-LOWI' option . 2) Where is the 'GENERATOR 1 and 2' switches on the overhead panel ?...having real difficulty finding it. 3) Is there a way to start tutorial 2 with all the panels and MCP setup correctly allready ?...I have tried the other tutorials like takeoff...pushback..none of them have the cockpit setup ..whats the point of them ? thanks...

Hi all... I have recently purchased the NGX 737 and am enjoying things so far. Of course..like everyone else , trying to eek out the best performance out of it is a priority. I am getting anything from 16 to 25 fps in the VC and 35 plus in 2D. I have a 4 year old i7 920 and stock 2.67Mhz with a GTS 250. I cannot overclock due to a locked BIOS. I read that disabling DX10 may improve FPS rates. When I attempt to do this however, the 737 will load but the VC will be missing the MFD's / and most of the rest of the interior. 2D is fine though . Any idea why this would be the case ? and does turning off DX10 actually make much of a difference performance wise ? I would be happy to fly in 2D ( a shame though to be missing out on the HGS)..when I try this though I find the seating position too low and I cant see out of the cockpit too well. Is a seat raising key command ?.. thanks
