  1. What if one could merge the PMDG NGX VC with the QualitySims 757? Well, I did it successfully. Flies beautifully. Now I can get a 757 with full cockpit functionality. Weather radar, etc.... But to keep the FMC calculating properly, I had to change the weights of the 757 to match that of the 737-900. But, it is fun to fly!!! Stephen
  2. That answers that question. I am an avid developer supporter, and therefore, I will buy all new. Thanks!
  3. All, I have decided to move over to Prepar3D. With that said, I have purchased and downloaded a lot of FSX sceneries, pay ware aircraft, etc. I saw that there is an FSX Migration Tool, that supposedly migrates all FSX add-ons into Prepar3D. Has anyone tried this tool? Does it really work? My main programs are the following... ASN, Orbx, PMDG 737NGX, PMDG 777, F1 KA B200, FSFX, REX 4, FSINN, and soon the MilViz KA350. Any input from my fellow simmers is appreciated. My machine is an i5 3.6Ghz, 32 megs DDR4 Memory, 1TB SSD, Nvidia GTX780 4GB DDR5 graphics card, WIN 10, Direct X 11. I am thinking that a clean install of P3D and all new add-ons would be best. But I am only guessing at this point. Any responses, pros and cons, will be greatly appreciated. Stephen
  4. I know that the PMDG 737NG software of old, would connect with Squawkbox, and one could set the mode to Stby or "C" using the 737NG Radios Panel. You would not have to open Squawkbox in order to do so. I am currently using FSinn, and I have to change the transponder mode on the FSInn Control Panel. I like the realism of setting it on the Pedestal. I assume this was not modeled in the 737NGX? Stephen
  5. Figured it out. The Display Units (MFD and PFD) can display differently. They can be split displays, as some airlines use, or can use the arc display for the MFD. Maybe you are not familiar with what I am referring to. I will look at the FMC as you suggested. Thanks. Stephen g_precentralis, I just looked at the FMC. You are absolutely correct. That is what I was looking for. The more I get into the PMDG 737NGX, the more I am impressed with the immersion into realism. Thanks for the tip. I have yet to completely go through all of the manuals and reference material. Keep The Skies Up!!! Stephen
  6. How does one change the DU types? Another curious question is that why does one livery in the same aircraft folder have a different panel display than others? Including not having the HUD Unit? Stephen
  7. Well, I have just done a complete "VC" flight and the realism is "AWESOME!" I have no interest anymore in the 2D panel. Thanks for replying though. Stephen
  8. how do I pull up the throttle quadrant in the 2D panel? Next, is there a mini-panel of icons that allow me to pull up the various windows and panels? Took a quick peek at teh manual and found nothing. Stephen
