How does one change the DU types? Another curious question is that why does one livery in the same aircraft folder have a different panel display than others? Including not having the HUD Unit?

Im not sure I understand your questions; you can switch displays via big white rotary switches above PDF and ND if that's what you asked. What do you actually consider as DU types? You can customize every livery to configuration you like the most via FMC Aircraft setup menu.

Figured it out. The Display Units (MFD and PFD) can display differently. They can be split displays, as some airlines use, or can use the arc display for the MFD. Maybe you are not familiar with what I am referring to. I will look at the FMC as you suggested. Thanks.

g_precentralis,

I just looked at the FMC. You are absolutely correct. That is what I was looking for. The more I get into the PMDG 737NGX, the more I am impressed with the immersion into realism. Thanks for the tip. I have yet to completely go through all of the manuals and reference material.

Airlines such as Southwest and United have the 737-300/400/500 and the 737-700/800/900 series in their fleets. The EFIS/MAP option on the 737NG allows a shared type-rating pilots can have. It also reduces the amount/price of training it takes to train pilots. Less differences in the display of intomation.

The HUD is an option that I believe allows airlines to operate in reduced visibility that they may not be allowed to operate in if they didn't have the HUD.

The Display Units (MFD and PFD)

The 737NG does not have a multi-function display. It is the navigation display. I think the MFD is only on the 777 and 787 (maybe the 748).
