  1. I recently added REX Environment Force. I can’t say for sure that there’s a connection between those two, although EF controls shaders and deleting the shader folder (forcing P3D to create a new one) fixed my problem.
  2. Based on a reply on the ORBX Forum... I deleted the folder …\AppData\Local\LockheedMartin\P3Dv4\Shaders. Started P3Dv4. Problem fixed. Thanks!
  3. P3Dv4.5, ORBX Global Base, various OpenLC areas, various ORBX regions, many ORBX airports. Regardless of where I start a flight, textures are black. Mountains are black covered with "gray" trees. I can discern black rivers and gray building. Runways/taxiways look okay. Doesn't matter if I start a flight on an ORBX airport or in a non-ORBX location (excluding ORBX Global, of course). I uninstalled/re-installed Global Base Pack using ORBX Central. No joy. I used the Sync with simulator function and updated ORBX libraries. I posted this on the ORBX Forum too; awaiting a response. How do I fix this? Thanks. Scott
  4. I do use Active Sky. I’ll try it clear weather, no winds. I do not have A2A planes or Chaseplane. I’ll check on crash detection and ensure it is turned off. Thanks!
  5. What causes my parked/stopped GA aircraft to rock like a floatplane on water? Impacts most GA planes I fly. I've tried changing planes and location, deleting previous saved flights, etc. P3Dv4.4, Win10/64 Home, i7-9700, 32GB RAM, RTX-2800 GPU, 1TB SSD, ORBX scenery Thoughts? Thanks. Scott
  6. I have 4 PCs (I'll call them PC1, PC2, PC3, and PC4) all running Win 10/64 Home (Ver 1903, OS Build 18362.720). They are all connected via a wired switch. I've setup all of the drives to be shared on the private network. One PC (PC3) can see all of the other PCs and seems to implement sharing nominally. This suggests that the drives are setup to share correctly since at least one PC can see/manipulate all of the drives on all of the PCs. The other 3 PCs can only see PC1 and not the other 3 PCs. I use Input Director with PC1 as the master and the others are slaves. I can move the cursor across all 4 PCs. I can also use the keyboard across all 4 PCs. One consequence of this situation is that I cannot get Air Manager (on PC4) to see P3Dv4.4 which is hosted on PC1. Thoughts how to fix this PC sharing problem would be most appreciated. Thanks much. Scott
  7. I was never able to run five monitors On a single PC using FSX Or FSX:SE. I eventually went to multiple PCs and WidevieW.
  8. Are you able to see the AutoPilot? You have “Visible” set to “0”.
  9. Thanks for the reply. I tried deleting the P3D.cfg file, Bob, and the default fighter jet. I didn't try multiple locations because I was using the Scenery Object Tester from Return to Misty Moorings to determine if I had installed all of the RTMM scenery libraries correctly. It didn't crash only when I had my finger poised over the "P"ause key to pause the simulation. But... there was nothing I could do when it was paused... I didn't have the top menu bar. I'll get back on it in the morning and see if starting the PC anew "fixes" anything.
  10. 1. I start P3Dv4.5HF, 2. Go To Location 3. Enter lat, long, heading, airspeed; Click OK. 4. Change Aircraft to Orbx's "BOB"; Click OK. 5. After moving to the location, with airspeed=0, an aircraft (not Bob) immediately crashes. It seems that P3D ignores the instructions I provided. What's going on here? How do I resolve this? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks much. Scott
  11. My RTX-2070 (not a 2060 as you mention) has four ports... I run three monitors on it with no problem. I also have an old GTX-760 that’ll run three monitors (not as well, of course). I’d be shocked if your 2060 wouldn’t... assuming it has multiple ports.
  12. I downloaded/installed Input Director this morning. I spent a couple minutes configuring the master and slave PCs, and it all just worked! WooHoo! Thanks! :)
  13. Thanks, Wayne. I’m gonna try Input Director first, since it’s free. If that doesn’t do what I need, I’ll check out Multiplicity. Thanks, cshark172, I like free!
  14. Thank you. How many copies of REX Environment Force do you have? One on each PC? Or just one on the host?
  15. Given this info from Luciano regarding WidevieW, I'll see if I have any better luck with two instances of P3Dv4.5 w/HF on two separate PCs connected together through WidevieW. I'm guessing you put the FsGlobalRealWeather on the host PC. How about REX Environment Force and/or SkyForce 3D? If you use them, do you put both on each PC? Thanks again.
  16. Just today, I sent a message to Luciano using the "Contact" widget on the website. Luciano replied, "Hi, Please try deleting completely the follow key from the registry: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Sof#8203;tware\Microsoft\LMP364WV This is done by running Windows registry editor (regedit.exe) This will force the software to start a new registration procedure from scratch. Please make sure you are logged as system administrator and do not login as different user later when flying. Thanks, Best Regards, Luciano. " I will try this once I return to my sim.
  17. I used WidevieW for a couple years without issue. Then, suddenly, WidevieW told me that there was a problem with my license. I tried to get support from the WidevieW forum and using the website's "Contact" widget, but received no replies and I was unable to get my sim to work at all. Any ideas what might have caused that?
  18. Thanks. How is your system configured to work across multiple PCs? Wideview? P3D Pro Plus? Something else?
  19. Gerard, Thanks for the reply. I posted this question first at the REX EF Forum; no answer/reply yet. What do you mean when you say "...capable of synchronising 3D clouds over the network"? As I understand it, Active Sky downloads METARs from HiFi servers, manipulates it per user-defines settings, and provides that data to the Flight Sim at regular, user-defined, intervals. What the flight sim software does with the data is outside the control of the weather engine. Do I understand the weather engine's role incorrectly? After receiving the weather data from the weather engine, the sim renders clouds, rain, etc., based on instructions from REX Environment Force, which smoothes transitions (which includes cloud shapes/sizes, coloring, shader effects, etc.) from weather data changes so that the user no longer experiences sudden, jarring, changes to the outside visuals. Do I understand Environment Force's role incorrectly? Thanks again. Scott
  20. I recognize not many folks use P3Dv4 Pro Plus. I still gotta ask... hoping to get an answer somewhere. I run P3D Pro Plus over 3 PCs, one as Host PC (runs P3D, ASP4) and two Client PCs (runs P3D only to render the outside-the-cockpit views, as directed by the host). The host does not render any outside views. Besides acting as the P3D host, it also runs Air Manager for the instrument panel. Regarding a weather engine, I'm using Active Sky for P3Dv4. It is on the Host PC. Regarding the use of 3rd party textures, I have REX SkyForce 3D and REX Texture Direct with Soft Clouds. Since only the two client PCs render outside views, only they have these texture products. I would like to use REX Environment Force for texture smoothing (as the dynamic weather inputs arrive at the Host via ASP4) and its dynamic shader features. Here's my question: does Environment Force go on the Host PC and it drives changes to the Client PCs via the LAN? Or... does Environment Force need to go on each Client PC and receive its instructions from ASP4 on the Host PC? Either way, can I expect the views rendered on both Client PCs to be synchronized? Thanks much. Scott
  21. Using P3Dv4.5 w/Hotfix. When I create/start a new scenario (C172 @ KHQM), it starts with the plane sitting on the tarmac, spot view from behind the plane looking forward (I see the plane directly in front of me), and the scenario is Paused (hit P to resume). I hit P to un-pause the scenario and the plane instantly rises to about 4 feet above the ground, still parked (not moving). I can taxi to the runway 4' above the taxiway and then take off. When I land, I likewise "touch" the runway, but 4' above it. I recently installed of my ORBX sceneries onto this new PC using FTX Central. I ran the Force Migration tool and the Fix Airport Elevation tool using the tool found in the Vector section of FTX Central. What am I missing? Thanks much. Scott
  22. Thanks, BusDriver and Luke, for the replies. Problem solved. I assumed incorrectly the Win10/64 install USB would contain rudimentary drivers for the motherboard's NIC. I downloaded the NIC's driver from the Gigabyte website (on a different PC) to a thumb drive on the new PC. That took care of the it. It all works now. Thanks.
  23. Looking for a recommendation for connecting one keyboard and one mouse amongst three Windows 10 PCs. I found USB switch boxes on Amazon.com that claim they're up to the task. Has anyone here have any experience with a particular product? Thanks.
  24. Just finished building a brand new flight sim PC. Purchased/Inserted new Win10 Home (USB Flash Drive) into the USB port, and installed Win 10. As part of the procedure Windows walks me through, Win 10 wants to access a network. Sure. Unfortunately, Win 10 says the network adapter doesn't have a driver. Well, I didn't install a CD/DVD drive and I can't search the Internet with that PC. I also opened the BIOS to see if there's anything there that might help. Under the peripherals tab (Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO), the Link Status shows "Disconnected". How do I get my brand new PC to recognize the on-board ethernet port (which has an ethernet cable connected to it and to the ethernet hub? Thanks.
  25. Thanks for the reply! I don't understand your solution. Where do I find "keybinds" so I can "change all the menu items bindings to numpad". Thanks.
