I'm pulling my hair out - Graphics Card Not Supported!
Graphics Card problem sorted now without a further purchase thankfully! At least I'm back in. Now just gotta sort the license issue out with the online registration servers. Just waiting on a reply to the ticket I raised Sunday afternoon

I'm pulling my hair out - Graphics Card Not Supported!
Hi, don't want to appear ignorant, but how do I set this to manual? The FLEXnet Licensing Service only shows under the "SERVICES" tab of msconfig. It doesn't appear under the "STARTUP" tab. I've searched my C:/ drive and have found the " FNPLicensingServ.exe" file as a separate entity. Can it be added to the STARTUP tab? if so, how do I do that then??? Mike Fairbrass

I'm pulling my hair out - Graphics Card Not Supported!
OMG!!!! Finally, your tip worked. I did have Air Display installed, so removed and I can now get into the program.........However, it's now thrown up another problem. For some unknown reason it is not letting me register my valid licence for the NGX 737. Do you know if this is a problem with the FLEXnet Licensing Service? I've called up msconfig and found the file, but it says that the status is "STOPPED" where other services state "RUNNING". I've tried disabling all services, then enabling them again but it still says "STOPPED". So, i've included the messages that I get up when I get to this stage and there's also a separate window showing the msconfig services at the top. Once again, if you or anyone else can shed some light on this, I would be very grateful. Cannot believe the lengths I have to go to to play one game, aggggh Mike Fairbrass

I'm pulling my hair out - Graphics Card Not Supported!
If I get this message come up any more, I think I'm gonna scream - "This graphics card does not meet the minimum requirements for Shader Support. This product requires a geForce3/Radeon8500 class or better graphics card". So in a nutshell, long story into short version. Old pc, Acer Inspire, approx 1.6GHz processor, 4 GB RAM, ATI Raden HD 5450 1Gb Graphics Card. FSX with SP1 performs adequately well on low spec settings and never crashes. Decided to get PMDG NGX 737. Needed SP2 which I downloaded from Microsoft and everything worked fine......for about 30 mins then froze and wouldn't run any further. I kinda knew this would be the case, but wanted to justify updating my system to the missus!!! So with upgrades, new PC (home built) specs are as follows: Intel ® Core i3 - 3220 CPU @ 3.3GHz 8GB DDR3 RAM (3.47 GB useable - only running 32 bit presently. 64 bit upgrade on its way) ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB Graphics Card (supports upto Shader 11.0) So now FSX will not load at all based on the stupid message I get mentioned above. If I uninstall FSX then reinstall with just SP1, it works. Load PMDG files with SP2 and it won't. Crazy thing is I know my Graphics Card is compatible I've checked out the specs and had it fully functional on the old system. So is this a DirectX problem? Version 9 came with original game. SP2 requires DirectX 10 again which my graphics card will handle. I know overall Windows 7 64 bit will help but even on a clean install will it solve this issue???? I'm beginning to have my doubts. Any help anyone can give will be gratefully received. Many thanks Mike Fairbrass

Upgrading motherboard and CPU to improve FSX performance now results in FSX not loading due to invalid hardware or driver. Please help
update.....deleted video card drivers and re-installed on next boot up, that didn't work. So, in response to your suggestion to delete the fsx.cfg file and let it rebuild, this is going to sound really strange, but i've been through the program files with a fine tooth comb and I can't find that file anywhere. There are plenty of other files with the .cfg extension but not that one. So the first question is, "where will I find it?" and the second is, "how do I let it rebuild once i've found it and deleted it?" Is it a simply question of re-inserting the program disc and letting that do it or how does that work?

I actually deleted FSX completely, then added SP2 and then the PMDG 737 NGX file. Still returned the same error message. The only thing I haven't done is delete the drivers for the video card. I'll try this next but I'm not hopefully! Sorry, should have also said reinstalled FSX THEN SP2 etc

Upgrading motherboard and CPU to improve FSX performance now results in FSX not loading due to invalid hardware or driver. Please help
I have been playing FSX for some years now and recently included the additional PMDG 737 NGX. This required downloading SP2 from the Microsoft Website which was problem free and all was working. However, after about half an hour the game froze saying that it had run out of memory. Despite numerous attempts at tweeking this and that the same error always came back to haunt me. So I decided it was about time for a system overhaul so I upgraded motherboard, CPU and RAM. My system is now as follows: Windows 7 Professional Home Edition 32 bit (yes I know FSX prob works better on 64 bit but it'll do for now!!!) Intel Core i3-3220 3.30 GHz x 4 8 Gbyte RAM ATI Radeon HD 5450 1Gb Every time I try and start FSX it now throws up this message: "This graphics card does not meet minimum requirements for shader support. This product requires a geForce3/Radeon8500 class or better graphics card. Flight Simulator will now exit". Er, hello! FSX worked perfectly well (up to a point) on my old set up and the graphics card spec says that it supports up to Shader 5.0 and DirectX 11.0 support. I am no tech guru but if someone points me in the right direction I can normally muddle my way around things, but right now, I'm pulling my hair out. It kind of defeats the object or upgrading in the first place. Has anyone experienced this before, and more importantly, has anyone found a way around this? I would be eternally grateful for any help and guidance anyone can give
