  1. Quick question: how do you rent a plane in FSX?
  2. Forgive this elementary question. I've searched all over, read the manual, but I still can't figure out how to get the cold and parked A36 to display chocks, and engine covers. I'm having the same trouble with the Australian Simulation PA26. I've tried moving to different parking places... but no joy. Thanks in advance for your help. Bob
  3. Stephen Forgive me for starting a new topic but I couldn't figure out how to post screen shots with the quick reply technique... Again thanks for your help. I am using a lan cable through my router. At this point (cause I'm not flying yet) I don't notice any jerking or system delay with only being at 100 mbs ...but later I might have to address that. As it relates to weather syncing, I've been snooping around with your spy window and when my client is the laptop (scenario where the weather does not sync properly) the spy window registers updates you described ...clock sync and wx update. When I run the client on the desktop (scenario where the wx does sync) the spy window shows a very different record with no mention of clock sync and wx up date. I have used the same techniques to generate the different results: start the client first and activate the spy window, then the server. I've included screen shots showing the spy windows and a little bit of weather off to the side. The first is the desktop as the client. In this scenario the weather is synced. The second is the laptop as client where the weather does not sync. Does this tell you anything. Thanks in advance. Bob
  4. I am testing out the demo version and have it working on a networked desktop and laptop both running W764. And using FSX Acceleration. While the client aircraft moves with the server aircraft the clouds (which are supposed to sync, right?) are very different between computers. I've included two screen captures that should tell the story. The server has crazy striped, prismatic cirrus, while the client has something that looks very real, altho not what the current station weather is reporting during the update process. I don't have any weather add ons that could be interfering. So far as I know I followed all the directions. The anomaly seems to occur with any kind of aircraft, and goes away when user chosen weather is selected with in OPUS. Does the Opus sync visible aspects of weather, ie: clouds, and what might be causing these prismatic cloud streets? Any ideas? And while you are at it... I am knew to Avsim. Is there anyway to search the Opus forum for subjects, excluding the rest of Avsim so I might be able to effectively filter through other users experiences and perhaps save a moderator from having to deal with an issue that has already been explained/solved. Thanks Bob
