  1. Hi all, Recently I am having this problem where trying to load the PMDG 737NGX (only the 737 series has this problem for me - 777 is fine and does not have this issue), and regardless of the livery or airport that I chose, when selecting the PMDG 737NGX in the "Select Vehicle" menu on Prepar3d V3, and afterwards clicking OK in the bottom right, my simulator minimizes to the top left corner of my monitor (see image below), and therefore loads all textures and the aircraft in that little window, and it takes forever for all of those textures to expand when I expand my window to my entire monitor, if that makes sense. If you have this issue or know a fix, please let me know. I am using the latest version of v3 and the PMDG 737NGX. I've already tried reinstalling, and as it happens across multiple liveries, that isn't the problem.
  2. Hi, I'm having a problem in FSX currently. Everytime I try to fly, after about an hour or some time passed since I've departed, I have these random textures popping up as I pan around the cockpit and trhe outside view, and it basically blocks my view from anything else in the sim. I've tried researching this issue and have tried multiple solutions but none have worked. I am currently running DX10 with SteveFX's scenery fixer. I'm also running ORBX Global, Vector, FS Global 2010 mesh, along with most ORBX terrain regions. One of the solutions I've gotten is to set water textures to high, which I've done after it was on low, but even since I've set it to high 2.x, the problem continues to occur. Here are my BufferPools settings in my FSX.CFG [bufferPools] UsePools=1 Poolsize=5242880 RejectThreshold=262144 Here's a picture to show you what it's doing: Those settings run great for performance. My GPU is an AMD R7 260. If anyone else knows anything on this subject, please chime in and assist if you can, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Eric
  3. Hi, I have been fighting with my computer for the last few days trying to get my PMDG 777 to work. Initially, I had a problem with my sound not working, so I thought I would reinstall the product. However, I came into some errors and decided to delete some of the PMDG 777 files manually. It still doesn't work, and now I'm stuck with a plate of nothing. I downloaded the install file again from my PMDG account for the 777. I ran it as Administrator, and it comes up with either Modify, Repair, or Uninstall. I have tried all three of these, but none of them work. I have contacted PMDG Support via their website, and the representative really doesn't know a lot about the problem either (neither do I, the problem seems strange). Modify When I try to modify the plane, I come up with a Catastrophic Failure message. Here's the image: After I press OK on that "Feature Transfer Error" message, I get this error: After pressing OK on that, the setup closes out completely. Repair When repairing the plane, I actually get an error message. Here's the message: After pressing OK, the setup terminates. Uninstall When choosing Uninstall, the setup doesn't even go too far into itself. After about 15-20 seconds of it just sitting there with barely anything on the progress bar, I get a Navdata parameter issue with the Feature Transfer Error problem again. Here's the error message: After clicking OK, I get this error again: The PMDG Support representative recommended me to run the installer as Administrator (which I did), and also remove everything in the AppData/Local/Temp location, which I also did. He also recommended me to disable my firewall, and I did that as well. None of this worked. I can't seem to find anything online about it either. As I explained at the top, I manually removed some of the PMDG 777 files because of these problems. I tried to take out the DEM folder and let it replace itself. The NavData problem prompted me to remove everything inside the NavData folders and reinstall the AIRAC. That didn't help either. I'm eager to get back out and flying, so your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Eric Kollat
  4. Hey everyone! I'm very excited to say that our first ever Christmas in Chicago event is almost here. We've worked hours to get this event working, and it is getting better and better as December 15 arrives. In this press release, I'm going to go over everything you need to know for the event. I hope all of you are there, it is going to be a great time for all of us. Date: December 15, 2013 (Saturday) Time: 1500 CST to 1900 CST (2100z to 0100z) Airport: Chicago O'Hare (KORD) Pilots, you have the choice of choosing your own departure airport on our timetables. You may fly from anywhere into KORD for this event (that is on our schedules). Make sure, though, planning is your job. Please make sure you time your flight accordingly to arrive in the specific times for the event. We have constructed a briefing document to keep you aware of all Chicago procedures. VATSIM ATC will be online, so please be on your "ball game" in regards with handling your aircraft. You can check out the document here: http://virtualua.org

  6. Hey Jim, Oh! In that case, I don't have any addon scenery so I'm not exactly sure of the problem. My internet explorer is not running in the background. To load my flight in, I save a new flight plan file that FSX generates, I do not use one that I already have saved. I'm not exactly sure what is wrong with my game, as I have already tried to reinstall it, and from searching through all these forums, I can not find any other solution to the problem. Thanks, Eric
  7. Hey Jim, Just spent a few hours doing what you said. I can't exactly pick out the file with the problem, because some of the scenery files worked with really small international airports but the same file didn't work for some of the major US airports. However, I picked out the problem to be within these files: 0301 Base 0300 Base 0207 Base 0206 Base 0205 Base 0204 Base 0203 Base 0202 Base 0201 Base 0200 Base If I disable all of it, then yes, I am able to get into the game at this very small airport I never heard of.. it started with an NZxx - I don't remember what the x's were. Those are the scenery files listed in order throughout my Scenery Library to where the problem seems to be when loading the flight. Another key of the problem I've found today is that it doesn't only occur when I go to start my flight around the 36% area. Sometimes the problem pops up if I sit on the main screen of FSX too long or on the aircraft select screen too long. Any suggestions? Thanks, Eric
  8. Hey Jim, Thanks for your reply. I have just tried to move the uiautomationcore.dll file to a temporary folder out of my game, but I am still getting the same error message, this time at 36% of the flight loading phase. Eric Kollat
  9. Hello, I have been having this problem for almost this whole week and can not get rid of it. I've searched until the 10th page of Google, tried everything everyone has recommended on this issue and can still not fix it. I've tried already to reinstall my FSX, update my DirectX, update my graphics drivers, do a memory test (which came out with nothing), and I still can not get it to work. I am currently on the Microsoft Flight Simulator X version with Acceleration. I've even tried to get the corrupt file (g2d.dll) from a friend to replace it, and I still got nothing. I've tried to make my FSX rebuilt the cfg file, and no different results came up. I've also made FSX rebuild my scenery index's and I still have this problem. Whenever I start up FSX, I can either get to select an aircraft and then the error message with (FSX has stopped responding) comes up, and it points back to the g2d.dll file. Sometimes I can select the aircraft, and I get to the point where I choose my route, save the FP and my flight starts loading. Between 36% and 39%, it crashes. Usually it's right as it gets to the 39%, the error comes up. When I click the "Stop program" button or whatever it's called, I also get another error message to do with the terrain.dll file. Simulator® AppPath=C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe This happened one night after I installed the Maddog MD80 airplane. However, I've removed EVERY TRACE of the Maddog and I still have the problem. I've went in to delete some more aircraft and it still happens. I have also reinstalled FSX and I still have the same problem. I want to get this problem fixed as quick as I can to get back out and flying, so please help me if you know a bit about this issue. 10. Hello! This is our October Press Release (PR) for the Christmas in Chicago event, hosted by http://virtualua.org and the VATSIM Chicago ARTCC. Virtual United is back in the roll with our events. Our next major event takes place on December 15, 2013 from 2100z to 0100z (also known as 1500 central to 1900 central. We urge our pilots and the members of VATSIM to come together on the afternoon of December 15 for a nice holiday fly in to the KORD airport or Chicago O'Hare. The departure airport is your choice. Full ATC from the Chicago ARTCC on VATSIM will be provided for this event. They will staff all positions between Ground and Center. More information will be posted in our November Press Release and December Press Release right here on the forums. Make sure to check back soon and we hope to see you there!
  11. http://virtualua.org Hello everyone! My name is Eric Kollat and I am the Director of Events at Virtual United. I want to let you all know about our Flight Expo coming up. This is going to be our first annual virtual conference with the Flight Sim community. We are inviting real world pilots, Flight Sim organizations, and the VATSIM community to come on out with us on the evening of Saturday, August 17. We are currently organizing presentations as well, and if you are a real world pilot or Air Traffic Controller and have the time of speaking out to the community, we would like you to execute a presentation during the event. If you are interested in giving a presentation, please email the Community Affairs and Events department directly at hqcaf@virtualua.org, using the subject "Presentation Request". We ask you to use that specific subject in order for us to organize your emails the best way we can. The presentation will run from 1800z to 2000z, each presentation being 15 minutes each. There will be a small period at the very end of the presentations to ask questions. This will all be done on a new TeamSpeak server we are currently setting up. Virtual United is hoping to make this event a time where the Flight Sim community can get together and exchange information about upcoming products or news. After the presentations, we'll be having a fly in/out out of Dulles (KIAD) and Boston (KBOS) with the Washington DC ARTCC and the Boston ARTCC, from 2100z to 0200z. We want to accommodate you the best we can for this event. We are asking you to email us if you are interested in joining us for this event (hqcaf@virtualua.org). By emailing us saying that you're looking to join, we can email you back closer to the event with our Event Agenda, and the TeamSpeak server information. Anyone is welcome, the more people we get, the better this event will turn out. Thanks, Eric Kollat Director of Events http://virtualua.org
