Hi Scot, Do you happen to have a step-by-step guide on how to do this? That would be amazingly useful. I know some VB, so the potential programming side of how to do all this doesn't sound too daunting.

Now just to clarify, when you mean visible, what does that mean? The C2 Pro console's switches only talk to PFCHID dll created by Pete Dowson which I believe requires FSUIPC. The only thing I use FSUIPC with regards to the console is calibrating the axes on the throttle quadrant and the rudder pedals. The yoke is calibrated in PFC's own calibration software. Obviously I need to do some re-searching about 'offsets' and 'Lua functions' because those words sound Chinese to me. Regards

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, none of the switches seem to do anything in the windows joystick calibration interface so I can't use LINDA... I guess I will have to try doing macros in FSUIPC, even though those don't always work in add-on aircraft such as from A2A (That's why I took interest in LINDA in the first place) Well, hopefully there is a solution, and i'll be sure to report back for other users who might be in a similar situation.

Hi, Is it possible to use LINDA with PFC hardware such as the PFC C2 Pro to configure physical switches on the console so that they work properly in add-on aircraft e.g. the A2A cherokee 180? If not possible, does anybody know how I can go about doing this?

I don't know how many times I have reinstalled FSX. This is probably the 5th time I have tried to get rid of flashing clouds by attempting a reinstall of fsx and then applying the cloud flashing fix. After cleaning the graphics card I am still experiencing the same problems (mind you no add-ons installed) I wish I could just ignore it, but its just too obvious. This is wasting so much of my time- I don't know why all of the sudden FSX has been acting up like this. Long ago I applied the fix and I was really enjoying fsx with no flashing clouds but now its such a distraction to see. I am really suspecting that even after cleaning the graphics card it is probably the culprit. Is there a way where I can check for faults in the graphics card? As always, your input is always valued.

Just to update you fellas, I did a full Windows 7 reinstall and put FSX on its own SSD and still get flashing clouds. After all of this I am suspecting it has something to do with graphics card (GTX 480) I'm gonna get some contact cleaner and get rid of all the dust that may be short circuiting a component on the graphics card. I really don't know what else the problem could be if a full OS reinstall and fresh FSX installation couldn't cure the problem. Will update soon...

At least there is hope Did you just re-apply the tweak? I am considering a reinstall of Windows if I can't find any more solutions. I have read that it also has to do if you are using the mouse+spacebar to pan. I tired with trackir 5 and still flashing clouds. Even without panning I still get flashing clouds when I do a turn, so that solution obviously didn't help. Also for me it used to work, and a long time later it started to screw up. After reinstalling FSX and applying the fix, still flashes. Thanks for your input so far

I should mention that this used to work for me before I recently uninstalled FSX.. As I said, I ensured that there were zero remains of FSX and the add-ons after uninstalling it. I used CCleaner throughout uninstallation as well. I looked at the FSX\Setup\XpackCache (where apparently it has files which restores FS to the exact configuration you had it previously) I backed it up on an external drive, and deleted it on the main drive thinking that there was some conflict with the swarmcloud.fx file- but, it didn't manage to fix anything. Yours in confusion.

Hi everyone, I have tried the cloud fix suggested here: http://www.simforums.com/forums/how-to-get-rid-of-annoying-flashing-clouds_topic24830.html For some reason it just isn't working for me. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I have also just recently reinstalled fsx with acceleration following PMDGs method as described here: http://support.precisionmanuals.com/KB/a87/how-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-fsx.aspx My system is a i7 980x @ 4.2Ghz w/ GTX 480 1.5GB VRAM and 6GB of DDR3 RAM. I am running DX9 btw. I hope some people can provide some insight into this very bizarre problem because it has really stumped me. :(
