  3. I tried that before. On one hand seems that the installation run smooth, but on the other hand seems that does nothing. Anyway the problem occurs with a different kind of installation, The one that "works" has a green X in the installation window, while the one that downloaded with the PMDG file has a grey background and writes DirectX. I cannot say why they are different. Vas

  5. Hello, a couple of days ago I downloaded the latest update for PMDG 777 and 737 NG. In order to install them I removed the previous installation and at the end of the installation process I was asked to install the DirectX. But the DirectX refused to install with the error: "A cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the cryptographic services are enabled" I tried all possible solutions that I found in the web but none is solving the problem. I checked in the Log files and I found that the file dxupdate.cab cannot be trusted. If I am not mistaken the above failed installation of DirectX causes black screens and inability to operate any button of the planes with I run them in FSX. Would you please help me to solve the problem? I desperately want to "fly" again with these great planes. Thank you, Vas

  7. Hello Jim, Problem solved. Everything runs smoothly. Apparently, some files were corrupted within the texture directory. I re-installed FTX Global and now I back to normal. Thanks with the assistance. :lol: Cheers, Vas
  8. Hi, first of all I downloaded the pdf file about CTDs and I tried several things: Rebuild the fsx.CFG file and adding the lines about missing textures, but the result remained the same. Maybe it is important to say that with the new fsx.CFG file the event viewer displayed that the faulty module is g2d.dll. I am running FSX in Win7 for several years now and I never had any similar problem. Recently I added FTX Global and Vector from Orbx. Till say November I had no problems, I was still in the Fall season. Concerning the sharing of the files, I need some guidance. I am not sure how to do it. I open properties and then what? BTW in all other seasons I do not experience any problem. Please help Cheers Oh I forgot to say that if I start from free flight the crash appears during loading of the textures at 27%. Is it a clue?
  9. Hello, I am getting the same (like Today 2). Trying to start a flight during winter season in a region or when enter the same region during flight, and FSX crashes. I am trying several weeks now to try to understand what's wrong but in vain. I need some help to resolve the problem. Thanks, Vas
