  1. Installed MSFS Jan 15 , worked for 2 days, then it started freezing after 70% in the 'Fly now' screen. Tried everything: Rest all to defaults, deleting Community folder, reinstalling all my drivers... , changing to Windows mode nothing nothing helped, then yesterday I read about the 'Hosts'issue This fixed it for me 5 min job: After reading your post, I went to the FAQ of the mod on flightsim.to and followed the following: App should restore to bing map when it close, if not, please delete The following two lines in the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file: are to be deleted.: “127.0.0.1 kh.ssl.ak.tiles.virtualearth.ne t” “127.0.0.1 khstorelive.azureedge.ne t” Rebooted my machine, logged into MSFS 2020, and no issues with connections to the server, or being switched to offline this is the Hosts file : # For example: # # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host # localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself. # 127.0.0.1 localhost # ::1 localhost I think the original Hosts file is without these 2 lines, maybe they were added when I tried to change the Sim to show Google Maps. So I will think twice before trying that again, anyone else has had this issue .....?
  2. My planes refuse to fly without AVSIM support...............................
  3. ok first thanks to y'all for help and advices , I do and did all my planning in FS9 and FSNav , told you I am years behind the present FSim situation still flying FS9 FSX to difficult for me though have to admit in some places (about 10) the FSX scenery looks stunning but in the other 9999990 places it looks like the deserts have expanded worldwide and beyond. So I have no FSCommander neither : EUR 39,90 is exeeding my limits. In PSS FMC you can import FS9 flightplans directly , so I took it for granted that PMDG FMC could do that too. Well I have the solution now : http://www.simroutes.com/fb2/showplans.aspx it may not be 100% perfect but it's good enough for me I can allways edit the plans in FS9 or CO_Pilot Pro I'll start preparing my G-LSAA for her next flight NCL-TFS departure 22:00 NCL time regards Peter Bootes

  5. so the question remains , how do I get a FS9/FSX flightplan witch extention .PLN in the PMDG B737 NGX FMC when I press LSK's ROUTE - CO ROUTE nothing comes up I have copied some FLTPN's in FS9 PLN format from Documents\flightsimulator files to my D.\FS9\PMDG\FLIGHTPLANS and changed the filenames to format : ICAOICAO.RTE but (as expected) when I press CoRoute nothing comes up I;am a bit behind on the FSim time-table I now fly FS9 since I only now have the money to buy a FS9 capable PS Excuse me for that so in the fora I am also a bit behind never mind I am having fun just the same see you Peter

  9. Posted Today, 02:01 PM 16-01-2014 hello My name is Peter B. I 'm from Amsterdam Netherlands been a simmer for 30yrs now even had FS5. So I had on my previous PC WIN-XP and FS9 on C:\program files\etc\etc\FS9 (default path) now I have a new PC with WIN7 64K Here I installed FS9 on a seperate partition D:\FS9 In short everything and all add-ons ( FS Global World Airports , I have not so many add-ons) work absolute no problems My PSS B-757 works no problems exept for the well known issue with the Load Editor.. on running it says cannot locate FS9 installation path 100ds of forum pages are on this subject. But they all come with a solution to change the registry entry of FS9 to a different location quote hereunder : please read further after the quote --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted 09 January 2009 - 05:11 PM I went for it, edited the registry, and it worked. Thanks for all your help.In case anyone else has the issue, here's what I did: 1) To HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft I added a key called Microsoft Games. 2) To HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Games I added a key called Flight Simulator. 3) To HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator I added a key called 9.0. 4) Then I right-clicked on the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\9.0 and selected New then String Value and name it EXE Path. 5) Finally, I right clicked on EXE Path and selected Modify and typed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\ and voila it worked. Thanks for all your help. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just flight and PSS have issued patches and updates to change the path to whereever one chooses through a browse button I;ve done that many times now but still the PSS B-757 load editor wont run It will not search for the correct FS9 installation path nor will it use the new entries in the registry. The key point in my question is that my FS9 is not in the default path as given when installing but on D:\FS9 I've been searching all fora now for the last week but I cannot find a solution. Is there anyone who has experience in this and could indicate whether or not I have to edit the registry myself and what keys I have to change then or is there another solution I don 't wanna mess up my registry many thanks in advance for any help from anyone Peter Bootes I54430 GTX650 8DRAM WIN7-64k
