    Aircraft keeps rolling....!

i have this feeling that this discussion somehow went into the wrong direction. my aircraft is very stable in xplane. i use the trim wheel to have a nice and smooth straightlevel flight. it's just the banking! the movement itself is pretty realistic, it just needs to self center , once the yoke is centered again. i wrote carenado: Dear Carenado Team, I'm currently working on my PPL and fly a Cessna 152. Your model is quite nice, but what I can't understand are the roll dynamics. Everytime I slightly move the yoke to left or right, the aircraft keeps banking until I contradict this with a movement into the opposite direction. Shouldn't it selfcenter when I release the yoke? Is the any option , that I could change in plane maker or xplane to correct this problem? It makes the sim almost useless for me... Thank and best regards, Patrick ------------------------------------------------------ Greetings, The flight dynamics for the C152 (and all Carenado aircraft) are based on the flight dynamics of the real airplane, following all performance tables included in the actual flight manual for the plane. But if you need to change something, to achieve the flight dynamics you want, you may do that in plane maker, to get the plane "self correcting" bank angle, you may start changing the dihedral angle of the wings, or moving the CG to a lower position. We don't usually give any support regarding in how to modify our planes. Regards Carenado Support what do you guys think about that? Ever tried to change the dihedral angle of the wings? Thanks!! By the way, do you think Prepare 3D is more realistic? I don't care about scenery, for me it's just important to simulate the flight experience as realistic as possible....
  3. Hi Flight Sim Friends, So I'm currently working on my Private Pilot License, training with a Cessna 152. To repeat and "keep my brain active" I use X-Plane with the Saitek Cessna Yoke. Everything works pretty ok.. I mean it's of course not that 100% reality feeling, but it's ok. The only thing, that drives me crazy is the constant roll. I don't mean any torque or p effects. What I mean is the constant roll into one direction as soon as I move the yoke to the left or right. Even if I center the yoke, the aircraft keeps rolling into the initial direction. To counteract this, I need to move yoke slightly to the otherside, just to center the aircraft. This is not needed in a real aircraft. Do you have any idea? I've already tried all the options in Xplane, but nothing seems to help... Eventually somewhere in Plane Maker? PLEASE HELP!!! thank you and best regards, patrick

    Aircraft keeps rolling....!

Thanks for your reply! As I'm flying a real aircraft, I know that those "mini reaction movements" are normal. My problem is, that in X-Plane, the aircraft "falls" to the left, as soon as I move the yoke to the left. The roll even accelerates.. This doesn't happen in a real aircraft under normal conditions. Is there any setting somewhere, to prevent this???! Seems like I'm not the only one who has this problem..
