  1. Let me start by saying this seems to be a great tool to calculate an affinity mask the easy way! But although I suspect that the answer will be: don't change what isn't broken, I will ask the question anyway: I haven't set any affinity mask whatsoever (P3d V5.3 latest HF) and the cores on my 12700K usually hover around 60-70%. Only when loading at startup the cores are at 100%. When I then start flying most cores keep hovering around 60-70% with an occasional 80% spike. Since the cores aren't maxed out it seems that P3D does a fine job handling the affinity mask by itself. So I fail to see the point in tinkering with affinity masks with the last 12th gen Intel CPU but I also see that several people in this thread have done so. Is there a reason why you should need to do that? Perhaps I am missing something here? Peter
  2. With fsx I used ezdok but I always found the configuration, installation and usage a pain in the a.... I also tried it on p3d a long time ago but had the same issues there. So I am glad I found Chaseplane indeed because it gives me a nice viewpoint automatically. I suggest that you try it again and perhaps play with the settings. We could also compare our settings when you have installed it and it doesn't work as expected. Also, I received good support from them when I had issues with it and they solved it nicely. So you could try their support also. Peter
  3. As I said, I am using a view group for a 180 degrees view. You can't do that with one big screen stretched over 3 monitors because it looks quite bad and warped. So to sum it up this is what I have and do: I am using p3d V5.2 HF1 (but have used it in V4.5 also and it works the same there) I have defined a view group in p3d which has three views each showing (approximately) 60 degrees FOV I ONLY use the A2A C172 aircraft with the virtual cockpit. I can't comment on other aircraft! But logic would suggest that it should work for all virtual cockpits I use Chaseplane to handle the position in the aircraft and for setting the zoom to one (well 0.98 is the best I can do) I use Chaseplane to look 'down' to my instrument panel and to the pedestal. I use the hat switch to look left and right. These left and right views are defined within Chaseplane When I look to the left or right all three monitors display that view (there is a small amount of warping then, but I think it's because I have to finetune the view port some more) So in my experience, Chaseplane works just fine with multiple monitors. Perhaps I am using it in a specific way but for my case it works. I recall that I had some time with Chaseplane support to get it to work. I believe I had to turn off a setting but I'm not quite which it was. It could be static cameras or something. Since I don't use any other camera than the onboard one it wasn't a big deal for me.
  4. Hi Jozeff, I'm not quite sure exactly what you want to do, but I am using a three monitor setup (180 degrees FOV using a view group) in P3D V5.2. together with Chaseplane and for me it works fine. But perhaps you want something that I don't use? I use Chaseplane to position (tilt, shift etc.) the A2A C172 aircraft view so it mainly hides the instrument panel because I have that on a separate monitor. I also use Chaseplane to be able to switch to a left view or right view. Al three monitors follow Chaseplane just fine as far as I use it.
  5. I have recently purchased the Simshaker Jetpad for greater immersion, based on many positive reviews. When I however use Simshaker for Aviators together with the Jetpad (and the A2A 172) in p3d (v5.1) the result is quite frankly pretty underwhelming. The vibration effects are quite strong and mostly seem of an on/off nature instead of subtle changes when for example taxiing fast or more slowly. Does anyone here have any experience in using Simshaker in P3D? And if so, could they perhaps share their Simshaker settings or some guidance in how to use the Simshaker for Aviators software properly with the Simshaker Jetpad? Since there are so many positive reviews I am convinced I must be doing something wrong or have the wrong settings. But I haven't got a clue how to correct this :( I hope someone out there can help out. Peter
  6. Are there also mounting holes on the bottom? I have a WheelStand pro on to which my Saitek Yoke is mounted with screws. Would be nice if this can be done with the Honeycomb Yoke too :)
