  1. Not sure if it's been mentioned already or if it is already a well known issue, but I get frequent stutters if I have a browser window running/opened, for example on another screen, especially in the foreground (so when I'm technically outside of the sim), but it's also the case when the sim is focused, maybe only a bit less pronounced. Nothing major or CPU-hungry running in the browser, might just be a single wikipedia tab, but the moment I put something else in front of the browser, like a Plan-G window for example, stutters stop, FPS improves. I imagine, even though most of the time I'm limited by the GPU, somewhere a single thread is trying to carry the avionics/screens in the sim and browser javascript/rendering/redrawing and it bottlenecks the whole thing.
  2. I got you guys, I speak some "neener-neener", might be a bit rusty since it's been years since kindergarten, but I believe the message coming through the last few pages is very simple: "STOP. ENJOYING. X-PLANE. Stop doing that. What are you doing?! Cut it out." I believe this message will auto-repeat until you have complied (or until morale deteriorates sufficiently).
  3. Looks more and more like click-bait, even if there are deals being negotiated somewhere.
  4. It's just about the name and maybe a bit about some of the know-how/processes. I wouldn't spend a dime to just get my hands on the 2006 code-base if I had the money, unless I was opening a software development museum. It's possible there will be a new development. "Flight Simulator" - having these two words for your product name will help with its marketing immensely. I sure hope they won't try extending the old platform, as it's a dead end street and I would rather want to see resources committed to a brand new (future-proof and scalable) engine instead. Let the old one go in peace.
