What is up with the latest update. Every time I load the game from my default PMDG 737-800 it is cold and dark and nothing works.. I have to restart it every time. Also when I try to go back to the main menu it just sits there and never returns to the main menu. I have to Control Delete and use the task manager to get out of MSFS. Someone has screwed this update up....... Anyone have any ideas in how to fix this....???

Thanks Jim, yes I do have a Update driver program and after it ran it I had only 4 updated drivers that needed it. Of the 4 of them, 2 of the drivers it wanted to update was older than the one installed. So basically only 2. So Jim if I may ask, what is your configuration on your computer? If you are not having any problems I would like to use it or a Guide to as what I will get. V/r Tom

Hi Jim, I just wanted to give you an update on this issue with my New Desk Top Computer. I have exhausted everything I know of and read and researched on this particular problem. I just bought this DTC 10 days ago. I believe its a Hardware conflict some where in the BIOS or Drivers installation. I bought this DTC with no Operating system installed because I had 3 Windows 7 I bought awhile back. I wanted to use W7 because it never gave me any issues with my Lap top.. I had completely removed FSX and all its add-ons on my Lap top because I figured the new DTC was all I needed. I was wrong. Anyway, I reinstalled everything back on my lap top and just completed a flight 3.3 hrs with no issues. I have since returned the computer back for a refund. Again, I appreciate all your info and insight on this matter. Oh one more thing.I also have the Evil Update installed on the LT also and still never had a problem. V/r Tom

Hi Jim, Well I installed everything and it still froze. I was looking at my older Lap Top and realized that the Microsoft 2005 C+++ has 2 different ones installed. The 2.38 MB package is not installed on this computer. Does this not get installed when u install FSX? I downloaded the 2005 C+++ SP1 and it shows installed. When I reinstalled FSX on my Older Lap Top it shows it was installed. How do I get it? I think there lays the problem. I also was reading CTD manual and realized it shows 2012 C+++ installed an again its not on this computer. How do I update or get this?

Well Jim, I decided to try it and I didn't even get 5 min into it and if froze again. I am going to do a clean install with windows 7 and after everything is loaded including updates I will install FSX again and see how it goes. This is my last ditch effort.. Tom

Hi Jim, Well I installed the 3 your recommended. Of the 3 only the 2005 for some reason was not installed. the 2008, 2010 was installed so I just did a repair. I'm thinking the 2005 may be the problem. I will try it later today and let you know.. Thanks Tom

Well. Jim... I have given up. I am returning this back to the Manufacturer. I can not solve this issue. I tried just with no Add-ons installed at all. I will buy another Gaming Computer else where. I do know that I am getting some Glitches on my screen when flying and when I play Nascar 2014 I get a beeping sound, and on my Front Panel the VGA Icon is flashing. I think it is telling me something about my Video card. None the less I'm done. I want to thank everyone who has given me input on this matter. I wish I could of fixed it. Hi Jim, Well I did everything I know of including completely uninstall and reinstall and I still get the Freeze screen about 10 min into the flight. I found the program AppCrashView . Unfortunately I can't seem to cut and Paste on the Forum. How do I send you all the data. It's way to big for me to type it out.

HI Jim, Thank you so much for your help.. I'm not sure how to use the AppCrashView and what to look for in it, to give you a full report. I have uninstalled everything about FSX. I have reinstalled FSX with no additional add-ons at this time. I did install PMDG 737 and 777 with the updates one at a time. After each install I loaded FSX so it would register each A/C one at a time in the game. I am now flying another mission. If nothing happens I will install one add-on at a time until the situation occurs again.(If it ever does) I do know I did install some add-ons previously without using as Administrator and reinstalled again using Admin.. On my reinstall of FSX I did use Admin on every thing I installed. I will let you know how it turns out. Thanks again for your help V/r Tom Denbrock

First of all thank you for the redirect.. I removed the UIAutomation.dll and it didn't help. I just bought a New computer and now FSX Freezes every 5- 10 min then resumes and sometimes just restarts. I had a ASUS Lap Top gaming computer and it worked just fine. I decided to buy a faster one (Desk top) so I could enjoy better graphics and speed without stutter while I was flying. I have everything installed on the new one as I did on my older one. I did up the settings in my settings Display in the game. Now when I try to go back to the lower settings it wont save it and returns to what I originally set. Now I get nothing but Freezing every time I try to fly. Here are my specs on my New Computer. I have the UIAutomation.dll in my root directory. I don't get any fatal error messages. It just freezes up.. I have tried everything I know. I'm lost. Hi Everyone.. It is fixed. What I did was reinstalled the VHHX files by Mikes instruction from the Web Site about Kia Tak installation. I guess when I deleted it I must of left some conflicting files in it, Now the 777 FMC is working. I understand as why it worked on the other PMDG aircraft and not the 777 because DJ response as to the comprehensiveness of the 777. Hi Mike. I tried that and it still will not recognize any data. So I went to my PMDG 737 and it worked just fine. I am totally confused on this one. I understand that all the PMDG Aircraft use the same Nav Data in FSX Folder PMDG/Nav Data. What I don't understand is why all of a sudden the 777 FMC will recognize any airports. Even if I go to the airport and try to out in the Position it still will not work V/r Tom Denbrock

I am having an issue with my PMDG 777 Nav Data. Everything was working fine until I tried to install the airport VHHX. After I did install it by the instructions, the 777 would not recognize the airport or any other airport for that matter. I uninstalled the VHHX but it didn't help.
