  1. Hello everyone! I am looking for anybody who might be interested in helping me out with a mega project I have in the making, of which you can read more about in the following thread: https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/portugal-vfr-the-ultimate-complete-scenery-for-portugal-wip.442495/ Basically what I need is someone who is an object designer/modeler, and has enough experience to be able to build accurate models of real buildings, specifically castles, with or without photo textures. My project is freeware, so unfortunately I can't pay you anything, but I was hoping someone here might be insterested enough by my project to lend me a hand! If you do please contact me either in this thread or through PM! Thank you, Leonardo Santos
  2. Thank you sascha! Hope you enjoy it! :) Leonardo
  3. Hey everyone! My first complete scenery has just been added to the library! https://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=203652 or filename: tokelauislands.zip It is a complete scenery of the Tokelau Islands, which are virtually missing from the default scenery. It includes all islands, with detailed coastlines, Landclass with villages represented, and Waterclass with the shallow reef banks also recreated. Included are also 4 separate AFCAD files which generate 4 fictional airfields, one on each atoll. Many objects were also added to give the scenery a less desolate and more alive look. You can see many more screenshots, taken along the development of the project in this thread: https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/tokelau-islands-complete-scenery.442289/ Hope you all enjoy! And long live FS9! :) Leonardo
  4. You're both welcome! :) Look out in the next month(s) for some scenery packs I'm gonna release that will contain VFR points such as lighthouses, ships in harbors, wind farms and hopefully (if relevant copyright permissions are granted) even castles, to use with PTTerrain! Also there are some files here in the library and in flightsim.com with small airstrips and other aerodromes, missing from the default scenery in Portugal ;) Leonardo
  5. Hey guys, Portugal Terrain is now finally back with a fully working , with no bugs or issues installation! :D http://www.ptsim.com/index.php/downloads1 Leonardo
  6. Hey gaputz, Luis has found a few more issues with the new installer he created, namely the problems I reported on FSDev, which were apparently caused by the new installer not decrypting the bgl files as it should! Despite these setbacks Luis is currently working on this, and I'm assisting him in any way I can, to get a fully functional, non password, non-server connection needed installer working and available to the public! You and others interested might want to check out the progress over on http://www.ptsim.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&p=8976#p8976 I'll report here anyways when a final fully functional installer download is finally available at PTSim! :) EDIT: Also A32xx, the download that was/is there won't work since it contains the setup that doesn't decrypt the files However if you're really keen on getting the scenery ASAP, there are some links throughout the thread I linked above on PTSim that will get you the scenery up and running with no issues! (though it involves using the original CD installer and a code generator exe file that Luis used to generate codes for buyers when the scenery was payware many years ago). Otherwise you can just wait a few more days for Luis to sort this out and have the final installer ready for people to download :) Leonardo
  7. Hey Guys, Portugal Terrain is finally available again! The original author of the scenery re-uploaded the package with an installer that completely bypasses the code/registration thing that prevented people from installing the scenery in recent years. Just go to http://ptsim.com/ > downloads and the scenery is available there with this new installer ;) Leonardo
  8. Just thought I'd leave this here: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=copyright&fid=200445 I recently uploaded the package found in the aforementioned website to flightsim and Avsim libraries. If you'd like to search for the file yourself, just search for 'mac_flamingo.zip' on either library ;) Leonardo
  9. FIXED! The solution was suggested by a member on this forum: http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/help-adding-simple-autopilot-to-vintage-aircraft.441887/page-2 Thanks to all who've answered and tried to help in this thread! Leonardo
  10. Hey A32xx thanks for your reply, Well I did everything you suggested, the heading hold still behaves the same way :/ Even copied section 516 "Aileron/Rudder Trim constants" (because the ini file referred to the aileron trim constant value as having implications in the autopilot heading hold) from both the C172 and another aircraft I have this AP working on, and both times still the same result :( Any more suggestions? Leonardo
  11. Ok so after some more troubleshooting I figured out that the issue lies with the Airspeed Courier's .air file... What I did was copy an air file from another aircraft where I've installed this Autopilot and got it working to the courier's folder, assigned a fltsim entry to it and started a flight with it. Surprise, surprise! The autopilot now works! But obviously I can't make this a solution, since the flight controls and the aircraft's CG felt very wrong (from it being assigned an air file not designed for this model). So now I ask if anyone can help me figure out what to do or how to edit the air file to fix this, probably help em identify the problem as well, since I have 0 experience dealing with air files :/ Leonardo
  12. Anyone? I've tried everything I can remember, even copied all relevant entries from the cfg file of aircraft where I installed this AP and it worked perfectly, to the Airspeed Courier's cfg file but still the same 'bug'. It just won't hold the heading! Just banks endlessly to the right! I'm at a loss here, left scratching my head over what could be happening? Leonardo
  13. Hey, yea I was expecting this type of comment on this thread xD I just want to have something that can help me when I do long stretches with these aircraft, with an autopilot like the one the DC-3 already had/has! I also agree that a full on AP on vintage aircraft is just bad, hence why I didn't want to just copy and paste the Bendix one in these airplanes! Anyways thanks for your reply! Leonardo
  14. Hello, I've recently downloaded this package for an updated Default FS Ford Trimotor from flightsim.com (filename in library: new_4at-e.zip), and it contains a really nice but simple autopilot gauge that I've been trying to add to David Molyneaux's Airspeed AS.5 Courier (filename in flightsim library: airspeed_courier.zip). This autopilot gauge simply holds the Altitude and/or Heading that the plane has the moment you flip the switches (or click the respective assigned keys in your keyboard). This is in my opinion a much simpler, cleaner looking and ''legit'' way of having an AP in vintage aircraft (as opposed to simply add the Bendix AP to the panel :P ). I decided to add the gauge to several other vintage aircraft I have, which I have done so successfully simply by adding the relevant gauge.xx..... line to the panel.cfg (making the switches show up in the main panel), and changing the "autopilot_available=" from 0 to 1 in the [autopilot] section of the aircraft.cfg. All the aircraft I have updated with this AP gauge so far have it working flawlessly; but now enter my problem with David's Courier: The AP holds the altitude correctly, but if I select the heading hold, the airplane just starts banking more and more to the right, until it enters a downward spin and slams into the ground!! I compared the Courier's aircraft.cfg [autopilot] section with the same section in my other successfully AP updated aircraft and nothing unusual sticks out... though I'm not very knowledgeable of this particular section of the cfg file. *EDIT* I'm not sure if this is also relevant, but I just noticed that while all the aircraft where the AP works perfectly make a warning sound when I disengage the Master Switch (even though the sound is not the same in all aircraft), in the Courier there is no sound! *EDIT* If someone could help me figure out this problem I'd be very grateful! I can post the relevant cfg entries, and the xml text of the gauge if it's also relevant! Thank you Leonardo Santos
  15. Hey! Just as I was about to give up, I found an obscure page in spanish about civil aviation in Venezuela, where they have a page dedicated to the MAC Flamingo's history and relevance to the country (the explorer who discovered Angel Falls found them while flying a Flamingo!), and they have the original aircraft package for download there!!! So I'll just leave the link here for posterity, so that people who search for this FS9 airplane can find it a little more easily than it was for me :P http://www.aviacioncivil.com.ve/el-avion-metal-aircraft-co-g-2-w-flamingo-rio-caroni/ scroll to the end to the page until the part where it lists "El Flamingo Virtual" and just click on the first image after that title to download the original .exe for the aircraft including scenery for Angel Falls!
