  1. Nothing special. I reinstalled p3d client and nvidia driver. Tried the NVI settings. When i saw that dont' work i reverted back with RTSS for frame limit. I only stay with "Threaded Optimization=On". With hardware acceleration "on" i don't have much better performance. I have fps drop when i move the camera from cockpit to external view (especially when camera look autogen building - trees). Fps drop down to 13-20 and going up to 25-27. Not stable to 30 (but was with gtx 970). I did only 1 flight... both takeoff and landing have very badly performance (all lag). Both of them are default airport and I was with aerosoft a320. Tomorrow i put my gtx 970 back and see what happens. 😡🤬
  2. No problem here.. i am using inspector with all game, but i stopped use with p3d because framelimiter cause dxgi_error_device_hung. I will try NVI with your suggestion. Also, i use GFE all the time. I cleaned the shader files and cache multiple times. Probably i reinstall client. My tesselation factor is on ultra. Yeah.. this is my second replace mobo. I always unistall/install the proper driver for new mobo. I will do it. I don't think the reinstall windows is the first solution. I know that resolve all problem with p3d and not, but because this is my second replace of mobo i don't think this is need now. Also i am waiting the new big update of windows.
  3. Yes, next or tomorrow i try a fresh cfg First i try the GPU with some intensive game and watch the performance. If this game run well and probably better, i continue with p3d. I want exclude hardware failure.
  4. I tried and the problem persist. The scenery was: LIML on runway with fair weather (day time) Aerosoft a320 easyjet The fps was max 27 with frequent drop to 12. I checked task manager and there was again WMI provider host (with huge usage CPU) and for p3d process the GPU on 30-31% max usage.

It is possible for cameras to share data and avoid the extra work required to manage multiple terrain views. Increasing this might speed up texture loads at the cost of potential stutters on frames where large amounts of texture data are streamed. 4) 7) I don't find the description. But i added it for a better visual of night light (it was recommended on black marble forum). Ok, i try it but sorry, if with my old gtx 970 it was all ok... why now with gtx 1080 (much more better in perfomance) there is a problem.. The logic is better card better performace (same setting).   6. Hello everyone, I have a continuous drop of fps after change MOBO and GPU on my system. Mobo: FROM Gigabyte z370 d3 TO Gigabyte z390 aorus pro Gpu: FROM Gigabyte gtx 970 g1 gaming TO Msi gtx 1080 armor A little story how i did the upgrade of pc: 1) I used the option into DDU for unistalling driver and shutdown pc (in safemode) 2) Replace MOBO and GPU 3) Install last driver (in safemode) Also, i deleted the p3d.cfg. I'm using some modified parameters and some extra entries: 1) DAY_THRESHOLD=42768 2) NIGHT_THRESHOLD=8096 3) TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=160 4) MaxRegionsPurgePerFrame=4 5) OPAQUE_SHADOW_TEXTURE_SIZE=4096 6) UIHardwareAcceleration=False (for reshade) 7) IMAGE_PIXELS_FOR_AUTOGEN_POLYGONS=1024 8) UseGlobalTerrainView=True Actually i have a i5 8600k no OC. (i am waiting the new PSU for OC) So, the point is.... before the upgrade my sim is pretty smooth (30 fps in good scenery drop to 18-24 in strong scenery) but apart this, it is flyable. Now with same cfg and same setting I don't reach 30 fps ( I am using RTSS with scanline sync x/2) and also have some drop up to 8 fps.... The scenery that i was testing is almost similar when i was using the gtx 970. This is the screenshot of my task manager that rapresent the 2 process with high usage of CPU. First, the WMI process is normal (it going up 45-50% of cpu!!!) ? Second why the low usage of GPU in p3d ? The gtx 970 was always 80-95 %, now with gtx 1080 it doesn't increase 55-60 % !! So, i think the bad performance is the directly problem of GPU low usage and that WMI process that i didn't think see before when running p3d. Sorry for long post and bad english. Thanks for help me in advance. EDIT: Because i replace both gpu and mobo i don't know the correct section on forum so i post here.
  7. Today i could test the RTSS scanline thing and the result is very good. For me it works. Also i tried the core thing and FINALLY my core0 isn't at 100% forever but all core (6 core cpu) are equal (screen below) (Thanks for that) At the moment i am on cruise but when i am approaching in Amsterdam (flytampa EHAM and more traffic) i re-check the usage of CPU.
  8. When RTSS is set for using scanline sync the frame limiter is "autodisable". In better words scanline has priority to frame limiter That is what i read in RTSS forum in the morning from one of the DEVELOPERS (of rtss), so i think it is attendible. (If I understood correctly) Unfortunately today I didn't have time to test it on my sim, so I can't give you information from my sim, but as soon as I try I will let you know
  9. So the frame limiter work but scanline not. I will try soon and report if for me work. Yeah sorry i didn't understand completely your comment. Personally i am using Nvidia FPS counter for all games. (YES.. p3d isn't a game 😝)

  11. I haven't tried this method yet (Scanline sync/2) so i don't know if it works for me. I discovered this method today by reading this topic in the morning. So far I have used the limit of the RTSS frame at 32 but now I want to try this method after lunch time and give you my 'test' In some case my RTSS don't block FPS (frame limit mode and NO scanline) and to resolve this i close and open RTSS until block FPS. So you can try close/open RTSS multiple time (also administrator) and MAYBE it work. -> (restart only rtss not the sim) Also you can try increase the application level to high PS: Sorry for bad english 😧

  14. Hello everyone, I updated to i5 8600k and for now it is at default clock (3,60 to 4,30ghz). 1)But, i'd like to know if it's good, when i apply the OC to 4,50ghz). I play the auto-tuning mode on the gigabyte easy tune program (it set the OC to 4,50) and i would like to be sure if the voltage is correct. 2) If i take the clock to 4,70 ghz i need to up or i can continue with default voltage (1.2 volt) ? 3) In the screenshot i see the first clock is saturated.. in the cfg i don't have affinity mask. It better if all the cores aren't saturated ? (Now I will try with 62/63 affinity mask and i will see) Screenshot Thanks in advance

  16. For the cpu and the mobo I went ahead because a my friend will buy my components at a very good price and I only "make" money. The gpu is the answer... So.. my addons: ASP4 with ASCA, PTA, PMDG 7xx, Fslabs a320x and spotlight, aerosoft professional a319 (a320/330 in future), Fsrealtime, simelite time zone fixer, envtex cloud and sky, Ftx global, vector, opelc EU, NA, SA, then i have region of orbx (california,england ecc...) freeemeshx. I hope this is all.. I MUST want a good graphics and DECENT performances (no high fps or similar but good fixed 30 fps because i have 60hz monitor). My settings are close to the maximum, but I have chosen them with awareness and advice from you experts. EDIT: Also i play 1080p/60hz but in the future i update to 4k (probably) and my fps now is 20/30 with pmdg amd aerosoft. With fps 23-- fps...

  18. Hello everyone, I installed many addons in this years and now i want change some components for a better experience. My pc now: CPU is i5 6600 GPU is GTX 970 g1 gaming RAM is kingstone hyper fury 2x8 2133mhz I think will change cpu to i5 8600k with gigabyte z370p d3. And in the future the new release of gpu nvidia (2070 or its name). Is good that or not? Thanks in advance!
  19. After a long time since the beginning of this problem, I have come to a conclusion. The problem is Nvidia Inspector and specifically the frame limiter (and probably for all). Currently I have installed penultimate driver and I can't use the frame limiter because it cause the dxgi error. Have anyone tried with the latest drivers? And also, someone is using NI with frame limiter without dxgi error? Which driver ? Thanks at all, for me the frame limiter in NI is very helpful for my perfomance. Simone
  20. It load anyway, with or without fsrealtime. Since this post, i fly (with Fsrealtime) without any error. (7+ flights) I think this problem is random, probably when fsrealtime must reload the scenery for adapt the time and there is some broken AI traffic. Moreover, when fsrealtime must reload, the loading window doesn't appear because the time move +1 or -1 hours and this doesn't involve the reloading all scenery. PS. Sorry for bad english, i hope that you understand 🤣
  21. Hello everybody, I have this problem for several months.. Everything is going well when the loading window appears but shows nothing. To "unlock" it, I have to use the offset of fs real time and the loading starts. The loading starts but it stops at 86% (loading the traffic) Screen: https://ibb.co/nN5pUy I don't know what is the problem, I use UtLive for traffic. In that fly i was using PMDG 737, AS16 with ASCA, fsrealtime with simelite time zone fixer, ezca2, pro-atc x and utlive (P3D v4.2). Minor addons: Spad.next, project fly, sim acars 1.4.0. I hope in your help because there isn't error in event viewer and this isn't .dll error. Thanks a lot in advance, Simone PS. I can restart (to infinity) the loading only with fsrealtime but it stuck always in the traffic loading.
  22. I did another flight (4 hours). No error. In first page in this topic someone post a video to resolve the dxgi error. I follow that video and i added TdrLevel in regedit. So, my change is: 1) Add TdrLevel 2) In nvidia control panel -> Vsync to OFF 3) Nvidia inspector -> Only frame limiter (35fps) 4) Nvidia driver -> 397.64 I hope this can solve the problem to someone else. PS: Anyway, TdrLevel isn't the solution. There is a problem with LM and Nvidia driver probably or another cause, because our Gpu don't complete the task or something and that create the error.   23. Wow 😍 finally i finish a flight! No problem, no error. Very stable simulator. I don't know if this change in Nvidia control panel is the resolution of problem, but for this flight is ok. I do another flights tonight or tomorrow and i keep you update.
  24. This is the worst info.. I can't complete a flight because after takeoff (4-6 minutes) i get this error. 3 flight and 3 dxgi error... now i am doing an another flight for test. Above i wrote that i have vsync off in control panel, but i use this change only in that flight. In this moment, after takeoff i don't get error (for now..). I am already FL250 and don't get error. So, for clarify: In the first 3 flights i use: Control panel vsync -> use 3d application Nvidia inspector -> only fps limiter In this fourth flight: Control panel vsync -> Off Nvidia inspector -> only fps limiter I keep you updated
  25. Hello, I have the same problem. i reinstalled an older driver -> 397.64 In nvidia control panel i set OFF the vsync and in nvidia inspector i use only frame limiter (35fps). I have this problem SINCE i updated windows (April update-1803) AND i updated p3d from 4.1 to 4.2... Also i updated the add-ons for compatibily to p3d v4.2. PS. Sorry for my bad english
