  1. I'd also like to hear any updates. It's being a long time I'm following this thread.
  2. It is. I was able to update the database using Jeppesen files, however the charts can't be updated unless you have the files that were updated to update a real GTN unit using FlyGarmin software. You should look to the nav_*.bin files and place them in the C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Trainers\Databases folder. Cheers, Filipe
  3. Oh.. okay. I meant to confirm because I still need to buy the charts package as the friend that has the subscription only have the basic database, not the charts.
  4. What do you mean with try? The ones available in the trainer are for US only and I wanted to include the ones for Brazil.
  5. Well.. if I then have subscription to a real GTN 750 with flyGarmin am I able to set the charts on the RXP750? Would you able able to confirm?
  6. So when downloading from Garmin it you can't get these files? In my case I'd add new charts so the steps you listed should work? I see there is a possible problem of creating a new one and not having it linked to the database index? Thanks for the feedback.
  7. You guys have any new ideas on this as there's been some time since this thread was created? I have a jeppesen subscription and I'd like to add charts to my RXP GTN.
  8. Hi, Thanks for the reply. So the database can only be the one taken from Garmin/Jeppesen or can I get these charts loaded somehow? Regards, Filipe
  9. Hi, I have a complete twin engine simulator with RXP GTN 750 unit on it and I was wondering how I can get the charts updated? Is this fully linked to the database provided by Garmin/Jeppesen or there is another way of doing it? I basically want to open SID, etc. I'm running the latest 3.0.0 database/trainer (gtn 6_70_29). Thanks, Filipe
  10. My yoke is a replica that I bought from Routech.ro. I have a pair of it. Soon I'll be putting the co-pilot one.. 😃 I love the David Clark headset. I have it for 8 years already and it is still sharp. I got an intercom from New Zealand, so with the audio/mic jacks from the panel, got them extended and hooked up on the intercom. Works just great. Shame you had to let it go.. it lookd really nice. yeah, sim stuff takes lot of space. Mine measure 1.50m X 1.50m. Luckily I moved to a 4 bed room house so one of rooms is my sim and office place.. haha
  11. Yeah.. reasonably patiently.. hahaha Indeed.. the products are, as you say, absolutely spot on. My sim is just is on another level having the GTN touch. Just love it. Below a video of the my unit and a pic of my sim. 🙂 https://photos.app.goo.gl/TfQXivGnXPZkofMk6 https://photos.app.goo.gl/WUpWh6yMGwLEbyq39
  12. Great stuff and thanks for the feedback. Yup.. we will wait patiently. 😃
  13. But I believe for the G600 there will be custom datarefs that will allow the same rotary encoder to be used for these 3 options. This should be simple as I have done something similar on my custom GNC255B, which drives NAV2/COM2/ADF1 on the same dual rotary encoder. I've done this through Air Manager though.
  14. It should, I believe, as it is possible for the GTN 750 where the FMS dual-rotary works for com/nav. I own a GTN 750 myself and have it set to a separate touch screen with bezel and stuff. I coded key strokes in arduino and mapped them directly in Xplane and it works great. I have an ELMA dual encoder. I'm also waiting for this release, which should fit my future King Air Simulator. 😃
  15. Sure, in fact I should've explained here. The e-galaxy touch software for the touch panel I have, in the settings for mouse operation I have unselected the options "Enable constant touch" and "enable auto right click". This solved the problem of closing the screen when holding the touch. Cheers Filipe
  16. Hi there, Sorry for the late response. I got it fixed. Thanks for the details and prompt response. Cheers, Filipe
  17. Thanks for the update. Looking forward for its release.
  18. One thing I forgot to mention, you can’t put it on the panel so just as an external window.
  19. Hi Stewart, Yes, it does work with Carenado Seneca V. I have tested in on both P3D and Xplane. My simulator is fully based on this plane. Cheers, Filipe
  20. Hi, I have a touch screen where I set my GTN on my simulator and if I hold touch for a few seconds it closes the GTN. I found it when trying to move the map with the touch and the window got closed. I checked the parameters in the settings, but there is nothing related to that. No further comments in the manual either. See the link of the video. https://photos.app.goo.gl/oQ2P3FwjpxKAVG416 The same happen if I hold shitft and left or right click on the GTN. This is quite boring as during flight it may get closed. =/ Thanks, Filipe
  21. Thanks for your reply. Would you mind sharing your P3D settings? I've got the Ryzen 5 2600x and now I'm at the moment to tune my settings for best fps possible with new scenarios, etc. I'm not crazy about fps though, I just want the sim to run smooth all times.. =) I'm glad to hear you are still enjoying your Ryzen setup. I could've waited for the 3x new versions, as you suggested, but it will take time to get to Brazil and I needed a sim pc to put my home cockpit on, but nothing holds me to upgrade it afterwards.. =) Cheers, Filipe
  22. Hi there, Thanks for sharing your experience. I have a 1080ti and I'm really considering going with Ryzen, but it is being difficult to go through forums and see people only considering Intel. I plan on using both XP11 and P3D and a few ORBX sceneries. I'm not FPS crazy person, I just want smooth flying. The sim PC will be mostly dedicated to the simulator + an extra screen for a touch GTN 750 panel. I have a proper cockpit built, but gauges are run in 3 raspberry, so the gauges loading is shared on these 3. I was waiting for the new releases so prices will drop a bit and I can consider the 2700x. Since the post was in January, would you comment any findings you had since then? Thanks again. Best Regards, Filipe
  23. Hi there, You mention you fly the seneca a lot. Have you come across the fuel cross feed not transferring fuel from one tank to another?
  24. Folks, I'm testing the crossfeed in the Seneca V, although setting the cross feed on the right fuel selector I see no activity in the engine monitor system as of fuel quantity. I have put different fuel quantities on the tanks to test this, I left it flying for more than 10 min and the only change is the normal consumption, no fuel transferring. Any ideas if this is a bug or if I'm doing something wrong?
