Hello, I am currently using and enjoying RealityXP GNS530 and 650 under P3D and I am looking to migrate my setup. Is there a chance to have RealityXP products available for FS2020 in the future ? Thanks

@ScotFlieger No misunderstanding there. You are doing a great job. And thank you for that for the LINDA communauty. When I found this 2016 post witth a great explanation of the SIOC/FSUIPC OFFSET/ LINDA implementation, I thought it could help others lost like I was. It is noted for the LINDA donation 😉 You cannot have all the addon and hardware of the world...

I found this post. Same problematic 😎 OpenCockpit is the card manufacturer where the SIOC language is implemented 😉

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the 1Hz timer function in the user.lua script is perfect to insert the code. About the "virtual joystick" don't be afraid, it is just a free FSUIPC offset (we have a wide range of such addresses available for personnal use). Like you already mentionned : Good idea. Good morning, I just dig into that only now and i am blocked because I misunderstood something I think. Ok from FSUIPC I can trig my switches to fill the appropriate "virtual joystick" offset, then on the LINDA side, I can have a LUA script to loop and look for any changes in the offset. But how LINDA is kicked? I do not see how LINDA could be used to match the commands (like we can do using a classic joystick) and the ipc commands from the lua script. For me, it is like a panel is missing (like the MCP Combo) in LINDA to be able as a user, to assign the target simulator commands. I understand the LINDA idea is to use the mouse to assign the simulator command to the button we want using its great intuitive interface. And i am looking for having a bottom icon (like the joystick and MCP ones) to click then match the ipc to any simulator commands. Where I am wrong ? Bye

Thanks for your quick reply ScottFlieger Yes i saw the FSUIPC Offset documentation and I can tweak the virtual joystick bits using the hardware switches. So you suggested I write a script in LUA with I think something like "ipc.read" to look into the offset I am using (ie $3340) and according the the bits flags, I could kick the appropriate LINDA function associated to the AddOn (LINDA aerosoft DHC-6 module), right ? I need to see where I can put this wrapper script in LINDA and how to run the requested LINDA function using LUA. I will have a look to the LINDA samples and let you know. it is quite mysthical for me today 😊 Have a nice week-end

Sorry I did not saw your post until now bjratchf The problem is not totally fixed on my side. It looks like the touchscreen confirguration is lost between two reboots and not taken correctly at each PC start. The GPS panel window (RXP GNS650) is well loaded on the FlighSimGear GNS device (I saved a scenario under P3D for) but when I touch the screen with my finger, the cursor cross is not below my tip but 2 or 3cm (approx 1") far away... If I redo the calibration it is back ok.... until a reboot where somehow the last configuration is not taken... I did not investigated more on by now. As soon as I can, I will. Have a nice week-end

Hi all, I am building a cockpit with real buttons. LINDA recognizes the installed USB joystick cards. Thus, I will be able to assign some aircraft functions. It is cool. But some hardware is driven by SIOC script language which could be used to manage an FSUIPC offset 3340 to trig a virtual joystick on buttons press/release. Do you know if I can retrieve an offset value from LINDA in order to assign the appropriate addon function ? Or if LINDA is only able (and it is even great) to deal with physical joystick conecnted to the PC instead ? Thanks Philippe

Thank you very much for your prompt answer. I made the test tonight : the parameter usealtcursor = true has been aded in the RXP GTN.ini located in the aircraft folder The behavior is "too much" : the windows is locked on move... but no more interaction with the touchscreen. It is like I am typing on a regular screen with my finger ! So I tried adding border.size=2 and I was able to popup the view contextual menu to select Lock and the window is now locked and does not move anymore when pressing the screen !!! Hello to you both, I read this thread with interest because I encounter the same issue. Did you made any step on that matter ? I am running P3D 4.5 64b with RXP GTN650 running on a view unlocked and moved to the RealSimGear GTN650 device with touchscreen included. I do not have the "lock" option when right click on the touchscreen. Therefore this option is available on another classic screen used to display the RXP GNS530. I can dock the GNS530 on its own external screen. Thanks Philippe

Couldn't activate FSX Acceleration after loading FSX ok from a fresh reinstall of windows7. Read some of your posts on the issue of activation and then went back to uncheck the compatible mode in the FSX exe icon then the Acceleration activation work fine. I worked with Microsoft on the activation issue and they were no help. I will certainly give attention to the compatibility mode when dealing with activation error issues.
