  1. Hi Kevin

I forgot to mention the simulator: P3Dv4.

    I have ENABLE HDR LIGHTING: ON; Dynamic Lighting OFF; Landing Lights illuminate ground: ON; Display lens flare: ON;

i CAN'T SEEM TO FIND - Advanced animation!

    Thanks for help

  2. Hi,

I have a problem with NOT seeing any illumination on taxiways or runways. The link to the screenshot shows a B777-200 on taxiway with Landing Lights (L - C - R) ON, Runway Turnoff  Lights (L - R) ON, Taxi Light ON.

There is NO illumination on the taxiway. I saw a Ultimate Traffic aircraft taxiing and it clearly shoed a cone from the Taxi Light being ON.

Any thoughts I would appreciate it

    Thanks

  3. I tried this, but if I lower the nullzone, the rudder pedals just react later.

The problem is that the rudder pedals are NOT linear - if I move them a small amount, I don't get a small deflection on the rudder pedals. It's like digital - ON/OFF or Nothing/Full.

It should be more analog - small deflection of the joystick, small deflection of the rudder pedals. I don't know if there is a way to set this in the config file.

Are your rudder pedals better for simming?

    Thanks for help

  4. Hi BF Bullpup,

I did not see, that I had to scroll further down (past the Throttle axis) to see the Rudder Axis. There I can adjust the Sensitivity and Null Zone.

But what do you mean by: " After I selected my rudder I see Brakes (left axis and right axis) and Rudder"

BTW, I have a Saitek X52 HOTAS and rotating the joystick is the rudder. But I can't seem to get the rudder adjusted properly, so it's more of a linear deflection. As soon as I twist the joystick a very small amount, the rudder fully deflects.

    Thanks for help

  5. Hi,

Is there a way that I can adjust the rudder sensetivity in FSX-SE? For axis adjustments there is only "Aileron Axis", "Elevator Axis" and "Throttle Axis" in the controls setting menu.

If I deflect my rudder (Saitek X52) a minute amount, the rudder deflects fully left or right. Makes taxing very difficult.

    Thanks for help

  6. Keven,

I think the problem solved itself.

I did not have several product from ORBX installed on the 2nd drive, As soon as I installed all the ORBX products, the cameras behaved as in the drive 1 version / WHY it worked then???????????????????

So at this time there is no problem

    Thanks

  7. Hi,

    I have a strange problem:

I have 2 SSD's with each P3Dv4 installed. I use one SSD for testing programs and the other for actual flying. I have ChasePlane and the PMDG B777-200 installed on both drives. I have setup the cameras in the Test-SSD and I am trying now to use them in the 2nd simulator(SSD). What happens is, if I adjust the view to the same zoom setting as in the Test SSD (0.50 Zoom) I am too close to the aircraft panel and can not move far enough back with the camera. E.G., if I have the zoom 0.50 on the overhead panel, I need to move the camera back from the panel to get the whole overhead panel, however the camera is then located behind the chair or in the MCP.. Or another example: if I set up the Pilot View with zoom 0.50 and adjust the camera back, I am behind the captains chair. Strange thing is that everything is normal in my test SSD.

Another issue is that when I try to change the keyboard assignment for ZOOM IN (Number Pad Plus) or ZOOM OUT (Number Pad Minus), I get the following message: Already assigned as OBSERVER ZOOM IN / OUT in the SIM. Make sure you remove this assignment in sim - I did a search for OBSERVER, but no such term found in the sim key assignments. Could it be a different name in P3Dv4??

I hope I made myself clear and thanks for reply

  8. Hi,

I am not sure if this is the correct forum, but I am having a problem with updating the ILS data in P3Dv4 using the SORS Airport Inspector.

If I select/search for a "Stock Airport (P3Dv4), enter the Airport ICAO Identifier "OMDB" and press select I get a warning "The file folder is write protected and will not allow any edition"!

My question: How do I get rid of the WRITE PROTECTION of a folder?

    Thanks for help

  9. Hi,

I just loaded a Carenado SOCOTA TBM850 and run into the following problem:

The mouse wheel operates the zoom function (zoom in & out). I don't need to press the mouse wheel, but just rotate it. Since this function of the mouse wheel is used for turning control knobs, it is impossible to fly the aircraft.

The MB ZOOM (MB Hold + SCROLL) is NOT selected in Preferences/Camera.

So I loaded a PMDG B738 with the same Preferences and the mouse wheel is inoperative and does NOT change the zoom setting.

    My simulator is FSX-Steam Edition.

    Thanks for help

  10. Hi,

    I have the strangest problem:

Whenever I use the Page Up  & Page Down key the following occurs in the sim (FSX-SE) Page Down: Throttle Lever(s) decreases to IDLE and the Thrust Reverser(s) is engaged; if the throttles are already in idle - thrust reverser(s) engage.

    Page Up: Throttle Lever(s) advance incrementally;

So I checked the key mapping in FSX-SE and there is nothing with  page up and page down, I also checked Chaseplane (my camera program) and the page up key is mapped to "MOVE UP" and the page down key is mapped to "MOVE DOWN". I even deleted the key assignments in Chaseplane, but the same results. I also have FSUIPC installed, but NO KEY MAPPINGS assigned.

Everything else behaves normal and I can still operate all Installed aircraft: PMDG B737; B747-400/800; B777-200;  Aerosoft A318/319/320/321; Eaglesoft Citation X G2; All aircraft behave the same way, except in the Aerosoft Airbuses and the Eaglesoft Citation - Page Up does NOT increase the throttle; Page Down is the same issue.

Has anyone seen a similar problem?

    Thanks for help

  11. Hi,

I am trying to get the display option "RANGE ARCS" and "TCAS 3NM RANGE RING" to display on the ND.

Both options are set to ON in the PMDG Setup>AIRCRAFT>DISPLAYS page 4/7.

Is there anything else that would prevent me from seeing these options?

    Thanks for help

  12. I have a strange problem with the A318/319 as well as the A320/321.

I am using FSX-SE (installed outside of Program Files x86) and Chaseplane. Chaseplane loads wit FSX-SE and with the Aererosoft aircraft the view does NOT go to the VC, but some cabin interior view. At this point, I can not do anything, can't access any menu functions in FSX (like View/Cockpit/Chaseplane VC). It takes about 1 minute before I get the message "airport cache ...." and than I can select the VC view.

From thereon everything behaves normal again. I already un-installed and re-installed the aircraft (w. downloaded/latest .exe's files) - no change.

So I just disabled Chaseplane from autostart with FSX-SE, loaded the Aerosoft A321 and the view loads to the Cockpit VC. I than started Chaseplane and everything is normal.

So the question Keven, is it normal to load the aircraft first and than start Chaseplane?

    Thanks for reply
