[23APR18] FSW Closure: We are disappointed, but not surprised...
jonFezza replied to rsrandazzo's topic in PMDG General Forum
At this rate Robert, your going to have to justify the usage of every emoji -
Yep exactly that. I believe they're adding the old style lights for users having issues.
-
Yea bloody miners making the prices going sky high. A 1070Ti wouldn't go a miss :D
-
Hi all. I found an issue where if you have 4K RealLight textures turned on then your fps is very very poor with GPU usage on 100% and RAM using 10gb. Now I have an i7 4790k and a GTX 1060 3GB. I would point the finger at the low memory of my Graphics card.
-
They probably's did as I have the same issue.
-
You dont need to reload the Aircraft. Simply go to the Add-Ons in the P3D menu bar at the top. Go to Maddog X and then click "Reload Cfg from LM"
-
Just picked up the Maddog earlier and I too have the same fps issue when loading in the aircraft. i7-4790k @ 4.6ghz and a GTX 1060.

ActiveSky P3D v4 - what settings for P3D v4.1 and PMDG?
jonFezza replied to tecto's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
Just the WXR on the MCP to show the weather on the ND and under the radios is the controls for the weather radar. You want to put it on WX+T. -

I would suggest setting your max cloud distance to 90 miles. And using the Realism option. -
I will when I can fix this ntddll.dll crash :)

In your cfg try TEXTURE_SIZE_EXP=8 - under terrain FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.80 - under main TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=200 - Under display These are the entries I've edited - I have a 1060 3GB and an i7 -4790K and get good fps and stunning scenery except for texture_size_exp I have that at 9 which you could try to make it look better since you have the 6GB version of the 1060 And for your FPS sake turn off dynamic lighting - its unoptimised by Prepar3D and will be fixed in the hotfix next week
