Don't obsess with the extended runway center line. It means very little, just a nice reference. You said the "plane wouldn't go directly to the runway" and yet I assume you landed on the runway because you didn't indicate otherwise. I'm with Kyle, I'm don't understand the problem as explained.

    SFO to Seattle

If you're flying into default airports using current AIRAC data it's still gonna be a problem, as the magdec file does not redefine navaid courses for default airports...most of the add-on airports incorporate magdec data current as of the date is was produced.  Some of the better AFCADs for default airports also fix the problem, but the reality is that not all scenery and aircraft data is played from the same sheet of music.  To get it right, the magdec needs to be current, the ILS course needs to be based on the current magdec, and the AIRAC data off of the same declination data.  Over time, even with high quality add-ons, there is some divergence, unless the dev updates his scenery when changes occur--the worst ones are when a RWY number changes and the markings and nomenclature doesn;t any longer match the approach plates.  This happened a few years back for PANC, when 06 L/R became 07 L/R, and all the ATC still used 06...

So what do recommend I do?

The AIRAC files are built using current magnetic declination data...the stock FSX/P3D mag dec files are based on very old 2006 data.  The difference (resulting from migration of the earth's magnetic poles over time) can cause you to line up off-centerline when using an AIRAC-based nav systems with the default scenery base.

Herve Sors keeps an updated magdec file for FSX/P3D for download on his site at: https://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids.html

Updating to that generally solves the slightly-off-centerline issues people have when using AIRAC-based nav systems.

    Regards

I tested another flight going to North Carolina with the 737 and its still not aligned with the runway

Can you be more specific about the issue that you're having? I'm not convinced that what you're seeing isn't simply the plane correcting for the wind.

when I look through my route the won't be aligned with the runway

The purple line so to say is not aligned with the white dotted line

    Thanks!

I have downloaded this and it hasn't worked :(

I am now also having the issue in the 737

Trying to do a flight from Anchorage to Barrow in Alaska

  6. I just recently purchased the PMDG 747 and am super impressed and enjoy the product but, yesterday I tried a flight and when I stepped through my route I noticed the path wasn't alligned with the runway! The plane would be off and wouldn't go directly to the runway.

is there a way to fix this?

I had a similar issue in the Aerosoft Airbus in p3d v3 a few months back but now its showing up again :/

  7. Ok, I have managed to get the issue fixed.

Turns out it wasnt morse code it was the clicking of the auto brake and I updated the 777 and have managed to fix the problem

Ahh,  Further down in the forum is the answer.  I see there is an update in the ops center that needs to be applied.

Just updating in the operations center

For me it never installs and whenever I reopen the notifications come back

Linus, your FULL name, first and last, is required in these forums to get any further support. Kyle and Dan have both told you this, it's really not difficult to follow. If you do not want to provide your full name here, then open a support ticket with PMDG directly who will handle your issue directly.

    I am sorry

It was my understanding that I only had to put my first name, I have no problem putting my full name

  10. Ok,

I have figured out when the beeping occurs, I thought it only started when the approach started, but now I realized that it only starts beeping when gear is down

So how do I get the beeping to stop?

I think you misunderstood what scandinavian13 said, the lights should be OFF, if the light is ON at the switch that means it's enabled/audible.

all the lights are off but the morse code keeps coming

    anything else?

It was definitely ASCA that caused my crashes.  Since my last post I have updated my AS16/ASCA to the final version.  Got a crash after doing that during the flight.  My problem was I tried to change the quality settings for the Discovery Theme I use (which is awesome IMHO).  I reset it to the defaults and saw that the only slider that went back to the default was the Full Dynamics Overcast.  I had it at 2048 and it changed it to 1024 when I set it to the default.  Just completed a flight with heavy weather on the same flightplan from KLAS to KLAX.  No issues (other than I had a ton of issues with pauses/stuttering which is not the fault of AS16 or P3Dv4 other than I have my settings on the first page maxed out and I might try returning them to the default or lowering them).  I have a super powerful system so I think I'm invincible and I can max out everything with real weather and Orbx SoCal and FSDT KLAS/KLAX and the PMDG 737.  I cannot.  Actually the stuttering and the pauses were not too distracting.  My FPS went down to 8 suddenly and that causes the stuttering/pause.  Otherwise I'm at 50-60 fps.  Not sure what addon is doing that I'm not going to investigate as I want to fly.

Hope my solution helps you too!

    Best regards,

    Jim

Well, I need to install the final version then!

    what cpu do you have?

It would be a dream if I could get 60 fps with my computer

    my average is 30-40

I had the same crash recently after downloading and installing the latest Beta version of AS16/ASCA and using it during my flights.  I decided to fly another flight w/o it and had no problems.  I'm still testing it though.  I haven't tried flying another flight w/AS16/ASCA turned on.  It happens during descent and with clouds in the area.

Did not have this issue with the previous beta version.

    Best regards,

    Jim

Now I am 90% sure its as16. I was just descending into clouds and that is when the crash happened as I said in the original post

Yesterday I flew with it on but it was absolutely clear skies

    Hello,

I have moved your Topic to the CTD Forum.

For better diagnosing Download AppCrash view from the link below.   Open the File and Extract it then Right Click on AppCrashView.exe and run as administrator

It will bring up a list of Crashes you had all time and date stamped.  Click on the Crash you want to Investigate to Highlight it and Copy the complete crash Information Tex to your Topic

    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/appcrashview.zip

Nothing shows up, meaning there are no crashes :/
