  1. Hello, I may be a bit blind but I've have had a look in the manuals. Is there not an option to be the pilot flying in the first officer seat? Many thanks, Acerazus
  2. I found the solution. I ended up deleting the exe.xml file in %appdata%\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 and chaseplane started working again when I re-launched P3D.
  3. Hello all, I plan on building a new pc and I have a budget of up to £200 for a CPU. I wish to pair my CPU with a GTX 1660Ti. I've heard how Intel seems to be the best choice for P3D but I'm not aiming for 60fps here. and if I can continously get more than 30fps then I'm happy. Many thanks, Acerazus
  4. Hello, I completely have no idea what I did, but one day, I start up P3D and Chaseplane fails to auto-lanuch beside it. I have checked the settings and auto-launch for the correct sim is checked. I even reinstalled chaseplane but with no success. Has anyone else had this issue and maybe know the solution to this? Many thanks, Acer
  5. Thank you for the quick reply, looking forward to seeing the professional edition soon!
  6. Hello, After downloading the FSReborn Lights, I've really enjoyed the improved realism with the brightness of lights and patterns on aircraft. I am using FLAI as model matching for vatsim. I noticed however that a lot of aircraft will be parked up at stands, engines off, or just taxiing, with their strobes on. This didn't happen before installing FSReborn Lights and I'm wondering if this a common issue with other users. Any solutions to this would be greatly appreciated. Acer.
  7. I never had any graphics problem in FSX in related to sunrises/sunsets. It only seems to be affected in P3D. It probably is only because of my old graphics card and I am in need of an upgrade.
  8. Hello all, I have a GTX 650Ti. I have set an fps limit of 30 and the GPU only utilises about 35-40% of the memory. I was flying the PMDG 777 from Heathrow to Shanghai when about 5 hours into the sim, the sun starts to set. When it comes to the sun setting or rising in the sim, the graphics card just crashes with the "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG". I noticed that I only get this message when the GPU utilises 100% of the memory for a long period of time but during sunset, the GPU isn't using 100% of the memory. I hope this isn't too vague but any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I don't have settings put on max, they're usually set around the medium/low setting.
  9. Thanks everyone for your replies. It's sensible that the FMC would warn me of an outdated AIRAC cycle as I have been doing flights so far with the default date and time. And yes, I do use Navigraph's FMS data manager to update my AIRAC cycles. Everything is fine now since I changed the date and time to the current time that the AIRAC is meant to be used. Thank you guys for your responses and I hope you all have a Merry Christmas! Edward
  10. Thank you for your quick response. Apologies for not putting down my full name on my post. I'll do that now. Edward Berkley
  11. Hello everyone. I have recently bought the PMDG 777 for P3D v4. Once installed, I double-checked that the nav data was up-to-date on my plane and sure enough it was. But what was odd about this was when I went to the "IDENT" section, I received the message saying: "NAV DATA OUT OF DATE" This was strange because I looked above the message and it said that I was using the most up to date cycle which is currently 1713 as I am typing this. I also checked the Navdata files in the 777 and that even says that it's on cycle 1713. I find it irritating and I am wondering if there are any solutions to this minor problem? Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you! Edward Berkley
  12. Maybe it's time to move on? To move to a new simulator? To be honest I was planning to get p3dv4 anyway. What are your specs?
  13. I don't find it dumb. I'm flying on FSX:SE right now on VATSIM. Yes, it's launched via Steam but I haven't tried it yet when I'm offline.
  14. Well, I am currently flying a British Airways PMDG 747-400 from Denver to London Heathrow. I used freeware scenery for Denver but I have payware scenery for Heathrow. I also use Orbx FTX Global. Loading the scenery is no problem but loading in the aircraft is not the same.
  15. Ah well then, I guess it could be something to do with my graphics card? I have overclocked it many times (which resulted in several crashes to my pc possibly causing potential damage to my graphics card).
  16. Surprising enough, I don't! I thought it was already installed but I'll have to do it later as I'm currently flying from Denver to Heathrow in the PMDG. Thanks for the advice though.
  17. I have an i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20Ghz with GeForce GTX 650 Ti. I also have 8Gb of DDR3 RAM
  18. First off, I apologise if this is posted in the wrong topic. I noticed that when I switch views, for example, from the cockpit to wing view, the plane is grey. After 10-15 seconds the textures fully load, showing the plane in all its glory. When I switch back from the plane view to the cockpit, again, the cockpit is fully grey and the textures don't load until 10-15 seconds later. It's really annoying and I'm wondering whether it's to do with my hard drive. If I was to invest in an SSD, would the textures load instantly, or is it a graphics card issue? Many thanks
  19. Hello there, I do apologize if this question has already been asked and answered before but I notice that when I zoom out from the Top-down view the globe is completely covered! I have a picture to show what the problem is. I use the Shader 3 Mod for FSX-SE. I have removed the cache many times and I have done the press the Esc button for a few seconds and come back into the screen but it didn't work. http://prntscr.com/gd9xk1 That image shows my problem. Edward.
