  1. So recently I bought ChasePlane, installed it and it did most things it was supposed to do. However, there were a couple of issues. First of all, I was unable to connect ChasePlane to WiFi, (my PC wifi is fine, but ChasePlane wouldn't connect) meaning I could not use the community tab - it was greyed out and I assume the WiFi was the issue. Second problem, the major one, it was very delayed with its responses at times. When the simulator was paused it worked fine and it also worked great while stationary on the ground. However, while flying there were times the cameras just wouldn't move or switch, sometimes taking more than 30 seconds for my hatswitch or view switcher buttons to take effect. This meant most of the time I wanted to move my view midair, I would have to pause the simulator. Another issue was the lag. As soon as I installed it, my FPS went from about 30 FPS to 20. Yes I do have a potato all in one PC with an AMD APU, but even so I do not think it was normal to lag so much. It was even worse when switching views, the movements were fairly stuttery. I eventually uninstalled ChasePlane after a few days, I enjoyed all the effects and cameras but I could not put up with the problems I just mentioned. Now here's the next problem - I uninstalled it, deleted leftover files, but the on-board camera still exists in FSX, and I can not move my view with my hatswitch, only space bar and mouse. The hatswitch works fine in the outside views, but the VC view is missing, and the ChasePlane camera is still there. So could someone please either 1. Tell me how to fix the issues with ChasePlane, like the lag and delayed response and WiFi/community, in which case I will reinstall it, or 2. Tell me how to fix my VC camera issue if number 1 is not possible.

    ChasePlane

Wasn't sure which forum to put this topic in, so move it if need be. So recently I bought ChasePlane, installed it and it did most things it was supposed to do. 3. OH MY GOD THANKYOU I CAN SEE SPAD NOW but this didn't fix the issue haha but thanks for that, I always thought it was something wrong with my PC that SPAD wasn't opening.
  4. I have been having a lot of problems with my Saitek Switch Panel and Multi Panel. I got them about 8 months ago, and it took about 2 weeks to set them up because there were heaps of problems with functions and displays etc. I recently just pulled them about for the first time in nearly 3 or 4 months (been busy with school so no time to use FSX), and I am back to square one. The panels appear to work fine using the test software that Logitech have provided. I use the original SPAD because it is free, and I am unwilling to pay for software like FSUICP or SPAD.Nxt or whatever it is called. However there is a problem with this program too ; it has always opened as a background process instead of a .exe application. I don’t think this is the problem with the panels however, as it has always been like this and they used to work fine. All I did was double click SPAD to launch it and they turned on. Now, it doesn’t do anything. I have used all the online solutions to turn SPAD into a .exe application, but nothing works and I can not fix that. Anyway, the point is the panels are recognised by the computer as all of the buttons, switches and knobs get a response in the Logitech test software, but apart from that they do not function. When I run my simulator not one switch or button on either panel works. Sometimes the multi panel display will glow red but it won’t show any numbers. I even tried running the sim and then opening SPAD, opening the test software and running the sim, etc but nothing works. I have spent the last couple of weeks researching and nothing helps. It’s not a power issue, because 1. As I said earlier, it used to work fine. My PC is still the same, nothing has changed. 2. I have an Anker 10 port powered USB hub, which has worked fine for the last 6 months. I have tried using different ports on the hub and PC itself but nothing works. What I don’t understand is why it stopped working even though not one thing on my PC has changed. I have even tried cleaning up junk and using anti virus software like Malwarebytes to clean my PC and still nothing helps. I have the boxed edition of FSX, not the Steam version. I did peform a clean reinstall of FSX about 2 or 3 months ago, and this may be the issue but I don’t know. I posted this on Microsoft Forums, and the Microsoft guy just said accoridng to my research you need to reinstall, which I am reluctant to do so because of the amount of addons I have including ORBX, FlyTampa, Carenado etc. However this guy also mentioned that “I'd suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the simulator. The panels will not register automatically if you have installed them before installing the simulator.” This didn’t make sense, as he said the panels will not work if they are installed before the simulator, so how will reinstalling the simulator help then? He replied that “As per my research, reinstalling the simulator might help. Refer this Pro Flight Switch Panel Manual and Pro Flight Multi Panel Manual.” So I had a look in both of these manuals, and they both said the same thing. “The Pro Flight Switch [or Multi] Panel will not register automatically if you have installed the Pro Flight Switch Panel before installing FSX. To register the Pro Flight Switch Panel with FSX, click on the “Launch the Flightsim X plugin manually” icon to re-run the program.” This means that reinstalling the sim won’t help, no? Because reinstalling still means that the sim was installed after the panels, which according to what the Microsoft guy said and what the manuals say is the problem. Secondly, I am using Logitech drivers because I think Logitech owns Saitek now, so there are no Saitek drivers. If I was to uninstall the panels however, I do not see how I could do this as there is only one driver installed and after searching the Logitech site I can no longer find this driver.
  5. I probably will get P3D, the only thing is that with all the addons I have right now(thousands) I would never be able to get some of them back. But if I stick with FSX, I can just drag the folders over to a USB and stick them on my new computer. Thats why I would prefer FSX. I am still debating though about what to use, but P3D does look absolutely amazing.
  6. This is related to my last post. Is this a suitable build to run FSX smoothly? I used the Custom PC Builder site to construct this list. 7. Ok then, I have bought P3D before but returned it straight away because it wouldn’t run on my computer. I may have another look into it though now. Anyway, I guess your right about max settings not possible, so I will just say high settings then.
  8. I am looking to build a PC just for FSX. I would like to run FSX on maxed out settings with AI, and lots of scenery addons, aircraft addons and weather addons, at a high FPS count and good graphics. I have heard that it is not recommended to buy a prebuilt one, but what about an XForce PC, or Digital Storm, or even one of Jetline Systems PC’s? Below are some links to some PCs I was looking at. For the Jetliner Systems PCs, I was going to get the best option for each one even if it costs over $8000. I Doubt I will be getting a laptop, but I will list the good gaming ones I found anyway. •http://jetlinesystems.com/product/gravity-mini-3/ •http://jetlinesystems.com/product/gravity-gtx/ -Side note : This seems like a great option with all the best stuff ticked •http://jetlinesystems.com/product/gravity-gt2/ •http://jetlinesystems.com/product/gravity-gt1/ •https://xforcepc.com/english/gaming-pcs/overkill.html -Side note : I feel like this is the best one •https://xforcepc.com/english/gaming-pcs/rackmount-html.html •https://xforcepc.com/english/gaming-pcs/platinum-html.html •https://xforcepc.com/english/gaming-pcs/titanium-html.html •https://xforcepc.com/english/gaming-pcs/triple-budget.html •https://xforcepc.com/english/gaming-pcs/budget-gaming.html •https://xforcepc.com/english/flight-simulation/flight-simulation-computers/platinum-html.html •https://xforcepc.com/english/flight-simulation/flight-simulation-computers/titanium-html.html •https://xforcepc.com/english/flight-simulation/flight-simulation-computers/triple-budget.html •https://xforcepc.com/english/flight-simulation/flight-simulation-computers/budget-gaming.html •http://www.digitalstorm.com/aura.asp •http://www.digitalstorm.com/bolt-x.asp?workstation=1 •https://www.digitalstorm.com/slade.asp?workstation=1 •https://www.digitalstorm.com/aventum-3.asp?workstation=1 •http://www.digitalstorm.com/slade.asp •http://www.digitalstorm.com/velox.asp •http://www.digitalstorm.com/bolt-x.asp •http://www.digitalstorm.com/lumos.asp •http://www.digitalstorm.com/vanquish-7.asp These are the laptops •http://www.digitalstorm.com/banshee.asp •https://www2.razerzone.com/au-en/gaming-systems/razer-blade-pro •https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/predator-model/NH.Q1TAA.001 •http://m.dell.com/mt/www.dell.com/au/p/alienware-17-laptop/pd?fl=m&un_jtt_v_MPLP=yes&fl=m&un_jtt_redirect An even better option if you have time, is to rank the above, rather than say what is best. If a PC like that is not recommended, then I have a list of components, and I’m wondering if I can build a really good PC with them. Tell me if something won’t work or if I am missing something please. Also, I have no budget. By the way, I just searched up components needed to build a computer to get this list, and took down the best(?) gaming ones I could find, so sorry if this list is completely wrong. With the case, I want it to have some cool colours like a red trim or blue trim, or even illuminated like in some of the above PCs. I am also guessing that I will need a hell lot of power(100 watts?) to make the PC work considering how powerful it is going to be and since I will be using many USB ports to plug in stuff for my sim and extras. Once I have finished deciding on all of my parts, I will need steps on how to build this thing because I am a complete noob at this stuff. For my part list up there, I was wondering if you could lable what each part is(next to each component lable what the actual part is)? I know which are the graphics card and processor and motherboard, but I have no clue what the rest is. I also want something that will last a very long time, so something made out of decent materials whether it is heavy or not it doesn’t matter. I will need the extra USB ports because I have many things that I need to plug in. The external drive will just make it easier and handier to access, and it can sit ontop of my desk that way. I don’t think it makes too much of a difference for which two products to get, because they all do exactly the same thing, no? As I said earlier I do not have much room on my desk because of my simulator setup, so I am looking at either building my own keyboard tray or buying one. This post is open to everyone, and please argue/have discussions about stuff, because I want to know what is best. Thanks in advance. P.s I have no budget, so please don’t tell me about cheaper options UNLESS they are actually better than the other stuff.
