Hello all, I have been away from flight simulator since 2020. I plugged in recently about 2 weeks ago and have installed my digital Microsoft Store version of MSFS 2020 Premium Deluxe (Game of the Year) about a dozen times and keep having problems. Some I may have caused myself when I purchased and installed 3rd party software. It would give me a popup while loading saying that the 3rd party may not be updated and it would end the program. I have a fully updated Windows 10 with a Terabyte SSD. I purchased the game from Microsoft but somehow it got moved over to Xbox. They have not been much help. I don't want to waste a lot of time complaining so I will start with the latest problem. I uninstalled MSFS last night, I re-installed it, and then started downloading the Mandatory Updates, after 5 hours, I downloaded other things that I owned in the market place. I updated all. This time, I did not add any third party installs. I launched the sim and went to options and updated my settings. I had a problem with the Honeycomb throttle not sticking to the desk so I turned the game off, went to the shed, got some tools and secured the throttle quadrant. I started to launch the game and it started to load to about 75% and then quit to desktop. I checked my store files and they had all the ASOBO and other related files. I checked the community file and it is empty. How can I get this thing running? For good. I have uninstalled it and installed it for weeks, and I have flown it for about 30 minutes.

I recently ran into a new problem that I have not encountered, flying the Quality Wings 757. When I switch screens such as navigating to my radio to change frequencies, looking outside, going to the FMS, or whatever.... The screen goes black for a couple of seconds and then everything comes back and seems to run normal until I need to make an alteration, then it goes black for a couple of seconds again. This is one of my favorite payware and it has served me many pleasurable hours except when I run into problems like this. I would appreciate any help if anyone has known or experienced this problem before. Thanks, Dan

I upgraded my hardware and re-installed most of my add-ons and I have applied Word Not Allowed'S TWEAKS. I am using Windows 7, 8 cores, NVIDIA 1060, 16 GB RAM, and SSD. FSX Acceleration. I use to use NIVIDIA Inspector and so I downloaded the latest version and the drop down box for games only show FS 2000. I can't find the old NVIDIA Inspector. Anyone know what happened or how I can get the inspector for FSX?

Many Thanks to all who took the time to give me recommendations. I have a lot of add-ons such as ORBX, and U.S. Mesh, scenery, many REX, QW 757, etc... that were intended for FSX, Alabeo Chieftan, Just Flight Arrow and Warrior, and I don't think they will transfer to the Steam edition. The outside of my FSX set says Gold edition but it came with three CDs. The third one says Acceleration so I guess I have Acceleration. I have spent a month trying to get everything back to where it was and was hoping for a great improvement with the hardware updates but it didn't happen. My suspicion is that it is related to some unwanted Windows updates or something I did with the FSX Config. File. I made the basic adds such as HighMemFix=1 kind of stuff, but I need to take a harder look at that. All future suggestions are welcome, I will let everyone know if I figure out what went wrong. I assigned the number pad Enter for my brakes to set on all aircraft. I am using the box edition of FSX Gold. Windows 7, and everything has always worked. Now I press the button and no brakes. I tried to reassign it to various other keys and nothing happens. I can manually click on the aircraft brakes and they apply and turn off. Also, I no longer hear my GSX ground sounds. I can hear all FSX sounds such as engines, ATC, etc but GSX no longer makes sounds. I upgraded my system from 4 cores to 8, I changed my NVIDIA 750 to an NVIDIA 1060, and I changed my standard Hard Drive to a SSD. Don't know why that would affect anything. I did monkey around with the config. file a little but nothing on brakes or sound.
