  1. In for a penny and all that.. I'm thinking about an upgrade to a Gigabyte rtx4080 super.. any thoughts on whether this might sharpen things up and reduce stutters a bit? Cheers Dan
  2. That's very kind of you, thank you and I will certainly take you up on that! I'm a bit useless when it comes to understanding what the various settings actually do though! Should I screenshot them and add them here? Thanks again and all the best Dan
  3. Did my first proper flight tonight using Fenix A320 and simbrief, etc. Absolutely brilliant it was! I can't believe how you can forget you're at home! A great purchase. I wish the cockpit was a bit clearer as it's a bit blurry but overall the experience is well worth the investment.
  4. Well how am I ever supposed to go back to a 2D monitor now?! I need to do some tweaking but this is unreal!
  5. Thanks buddy, really appreciate your input. If you had the choice to upgrade something on my specs to improve the experience what would you recommend? Thanks again. Dan
  6. Hi all, So I just got back from holiday (today) and one of the things/activities we did involved using a VR headset. It was awesome and having been thinking about (but not researching much) trying VR for MSFS2020 I've just leapt in and bought a Quest 3! I haven't even collected it yet! I got a bit swept away.. Anyhoo, I should probably do some research! My PC specs are below so I was wondering what your opinions are and whether I have "chosen poorly" (Indiana Jones reference there)? As always, thanks very much in advance. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, 8 Cores / 16 Threads, 3.8 - 4.7GHz 32GB DDR4 3200MHz Memory (2 x 16GB Sticks) ASUS ROG STRIX B550-E GAMING Motherboard 500GB Samsung 970 EVO PLUS M.2 PCIe Solid State Drive Corsair RM850X v2 80 PLUS Gold 850W PSU Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 10GB GDDR6X Graphics Card 2TB Samsung 870 QVO Solid State Drive Cheers, Dan (now £600 lighter)
  7. Hi NovemberUniform, I actually got FSUIPC some time ago as I built a basic overhead panel. If I remember correctly I had an error when trying to run it and I needed to do something with the program or something. Anyway, not being very good with computers I looked at a forum for some guidance and one of the guys who developed the software (I think) was getting pretty irate with those that weren't able to complete this particular step needed to run the programme and not wanting to upset anyone I just left it and never used it! Maybe I should look at this again and I have a really nice little panel completely unused! Dan
  8. Thanks for the feedback all. It turns out that the axis do work correctly in the actual sim just like JYM said but for some reason isn't displayed correct in the settings. I needed to recalibrate the Fenix controls and I was sorted. I also signed out of Xbox, shut down my PC, restarted and signed back in like polosim suggested so this might have helped as well so thanks all, much appreciated. Some funny things going on at the moment! Dan
  9. I'll try and sign out and back in again and let you know. The profiles are correct although others have been randomly added for helicopters and the dune thing I think. It's just so weird. Out of msfs it all works perfectly but in msfs the axis don't show as sliding (although in sensitivities it does) but buttons that are either on or off, the control options jump around (by that I mean once I have assigned something it will automatically scroll all the way to camera settings so I have to scroll all the way back down!). Everything else seems to work except axis on control settings! Crazy!
  10. Hi all, Since about a week ago msfs control settings is not recognising the axis of any of my controllers. Instead it is seeing them as buttons that are either on or off. The software calibration for my controls shows that my tca airbus quadrant and joystick are working fine as are my Logitech pedals but I just can't get the settings within the sim to recognise the sliding/moving axis. I have tried deleting profiles but when I create a new one the axis doesn't even show as moving although it does in sensitivities! Never had this problem before and it is definitely not the controllers. Any clues/help would be greatly appreciated as my throttles are currently either idle or TOGA! Many thanks in advance. Dan
  11. No I'm not. And I hope that Asobo don't.
  12. I'm like a broken record but I still can't believe flyby/tower views are still ranked so low on the msfs wish list. Who doesn't want to see their landing from a spotters perspective!? Absolute madness! I'm thinking about setting up camp outside parliament with a loud speaker! I can't be the only one
  13. Hi all, Does anyone know of any current or expected add on that will show passengers embarking, sitting and disembarking aircraft? I like to see, at the end of a flight, the baggage being unloaded, etc. But I'm always disappointed by the seemingly empty aircraft! Cheers all and have a great weekend. Dan
  14. Hi All, Apologies if this has been asked before but I am in the process of assigning certain processes to my joystick, etc., and I am struggling to locate the APU Master Switch in the control settings. I have tried each of the related APU assignments but none of them turn on the APU master. Is this a known issue or am I missing something? Many thanks in advance. Dan
