  1. Hi, I had to do a complete reinstall of both Windows 11 and FSX. After installing both PMDGs'777 and Quality Wings'787, I got the following error message. 777--200 $WINGLIGHT$FLAPSTCLLIGHT$CABINLIGHT$MLGHB777--300 $WINGLIGHT$CABINLIGHT$FLAPSTCLLIGHT$MLGHBx3 $FLOODAMBIENTI have run a repair and uninstalled/reinstalled both aircraft. I am still having the same issue. Assistance would be much appreciated. This applied to both aircraft. Thanks, Ed Kammerman
  2. Hi, Is UGCX compatible with GSX, and if so what components ? Thanks, Ed KKammerman
  3. Hi Ray, Just thought I'd give you an update. Firstly thanks for all your assistance. I was able to complete a flight from Heathrow to Kennedy using RC4. So I got tired of struggling with my SATA C drive. So I bought an internal SS drive, what I didn't realize was all my drive letters changed including my eternal SSD. That messed up my FSX install, so I finally decided to do a complete reinstall of FSX, which is actually coming along nicely. Ed
  4. Thanks Ray, I'll give it a try
  5. Hi Ray, Most of the time I get WX and Clearance, Pushback, Ground and Tower after that's where I lose all contact with the program. Ed
  6. Hi all, First of all Happy New Year. I recently reinstalled both FSX and RC4 on my PC. FSX is on a SSD and RC4 is installed on my HD in C/Radar Contact with the Meatwater voice mods. What's happening is the following. RC launches with no problem but then after a bit it stops responding, no error messages or anything, when I go to the taskbar the icon is present but not active. Now originally when I reinstalled it to Program Files I had a lot of issues, it was suggested I copy it to the C drive. That worked for a while but now I have the above mentioned issue. Thanks, Ed Kammerman
  7. Thanks I got it installed on my external SSD and seems to be working except now I've run into an issue with the activation screen not showing. This is a reinstall
  8. Hi, I reinstalled flight Sim but now the activation screen doesn't show up when I launch the game and therefore I can't do anything. If there's a simple solution without messing with the registry for 3 hours I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, Ed Kammerman
  9. Hi guys, I'm considering buying an external SSD and installing FSX on it. My question is would it be a workable installation considering the external I have like weather, joystick and throttle the add-on manager for fsdt airports and flight beans airports Etc. Any feedback and suggestions would be much appreciated thank you Ed Kammerman
  10. No actually it's Dell XPS 8900 oh, I believe the build date was some time in 2017. That's why it won't take anything larger than 500 gig
  11. Hi, I bought a Samsung 1 TB external SSD. What I'd like to know is, since my computer won't take anything bigger than a 500GB internal SSD, what would the degradation of speed be over a USB cable? Thanks, Ed Kammerman
  12. Have you checked out simbrief they are an online flight planner. For example you can go to FlightAware . Com and take a flight plan copy it to simbrief planning program and then once you got everything put in I believe you can export it to BBS's MCDU. Simbrief.com
  13. Have you checked out they are and online. flight planner. You can take flight from let's say Flight Aware and enter it into simbrief planning program, and I think you can export it to blackbox simulations Airbus series. Check it out simbrief. Com
  14. No what I'm going to do is completely uninstall and reinstall
  15. Addendum, my computer has a 3 terabyte SATA drive. But I've been having a constant crash to desktop and I'm getting tired of it so I think I'm going to go ahead and just add an external solid state drive.
  16. I have an older Dell XPS 8900 so unfortunately I'm limited to a solid state drive size that's why I want to go to an external.
  17. Hi Martin, I neglected to mention like I want to do this with an external SSD versus internal would that make any difference thanks Ed
  18. Hi all, I posted this originally in the hardware section of the forums but I thought maybe this might get a little bit better View since I'm sure there are more people looking at FSX than Hardware Maybe. I'm considering buying a solid state drive and installing FSX on it. I'd like to know what constraints there are and if there's anything I should look at for specifically thanks in advance for any assistance. Thanks, Ed Kammerman
  19. Hi Ray, Well it looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and do a complete uninstall; and re install. Since I'm going to do this I think I'm going to install FSX and addons to a SSD. So here's my questions, I have Revo Uninstaller Pro should I use that for the uninstall or Windows uninstaller instead ? Also exactly what components and addons should I remove either ahead of the complete uninstall or after. This would include, dlll.xml, scenery.config etc. Thanks, Ed Kammerman
  20. Hi Ray, I'll do some follow up. For some nothing is showing up in Appcrash view or the event viewer except what's in the post. To the moderators I'm an old member just lost my user ID and password. 🙂 Ed
  21. hi all, recently fsx has been crashing quite frequently, i haven't been able to isolate the problem because it wasn't showing up in either appcrashviewer, or the event viewer until today. PC specs are as follows, Intel i7 quad core processor, 8gb ddr4 ram, 3Tb Sata drive, Nividia equivalent gtx 1050TI with 4gb of ddr4 ram. Please see below for crash info. The program fsx.exe version 10.0.61637.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel. Process ID: 2560 Start Time: 01d68f96d3571dc3 Termination Time: 379 Application Path: C:\FSX\fsx.exe Report Id: c3a323de-3044-4a4a-b441-af1d7a7b8442 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Hang type: Unknownve, Best regards, Ed Kammerman.
