  1. Crazy but I have been re incarnated and I am still employed by the airline, who would have believed it ✈️
  2. Yes I know BUT in real life would ATC not tell you at what sensible height you should be, that was my point, also I am not skilful enough to use charts which I do not have anyway. I knew I was too low but I wanted to test the ATC. Also should the "low terrain " warning not have sounded" ?
  3. Yesterday I flew into a mountain in the Alps,A320 NEO. Very cloudy so not able to see where I was going. ATC told me to descend to 10,000 feet and bang that was the end. However there was no "terrain pull up " warning, do you think that is missing in the sim ? I have learnt that ATC are not to be trusted and is much worse than FSX ie I frequently get "cancel IFR at this time" for no apparent reason "descend to 13,000 ft" when about 15 miles from touch down. Still a fantastic experience with this FS it just has a few niggles with it.
  4. I managed to stop the floating by making sure I was heavy enough when I loaded the A320 on start up.

  6. Previously the auto throttle disengaged when auto pilot was switched off and the speed held until retard. If I disconnect AT the speed hold does hold on ( until retard as it used to ) so that cannot be realistic IMO. I have been practising at touchdown speed 130 flaps 3 and it still floats. Not realistic at all. I have been informed that ASBO have altered the wind ground affects which makes sense but it's not realistic now.
  7. Thing there Tom is that maybe I should keep the approach speed lower and maybe that would have a better effect on landing. Can you advise what touch down speed you use ? I usually use around 138. Can you go low as 130 or less even ? I realise a lot depends on weight but I am usually light as I put my fuel on a low setting as my trips are normally less than 300 miles.
  8. Thanks fellas, it's just that prior to the recent ASOBO upgrade I never had this problem. Ok I will try cutting the throttle early but to be honest that is not how it should be, I want the experience to be as life like as possible. I mean can you imagine a real pilot ignoring the call outs..
  9. What has happened ? Just before touch down with the call out retard I close the throttles and the air craft will not touchdown in fact the throttles open and it takes off, I have obviously turned auto pilot off. I have been flying succesfully for months but since the update I have had this problem. It has now become so bad I am unable to enjoy the experience. Has any body else found this has been happening to them with the A320 ? I have tried different approach speeds and flap settings but it always happens. Can this be because ASOBO have tinkered with things ??
  10. Some of my landings into strong winds I have not been able to settle the aircraft on the ground. I usually land with full flaps, would it be ok to land without full flaps, would that get me onto the ground any easier ? .I land just under 140.Thanks
  11. Thanks all for your responces, glad it was just not me who had some of these issues, not that it spoilt the experience I still think this is a great FS and in these days of house arrest passes the time in a very enjoyable way.

  15. Been flying now for about a month and I must this FS is brilliant, the graphics are outstanding and the experience of flying is amazing. However I do am some issues, can you people let me know if you have the same issues or is it just me ? Not in any priority order but ATC is often strange, ie when in flight, cancel IFR flight plan at this time, why ? on approach increase height to 10,000 when about 15 miles from touchdown, really ? co -pilot cancel IFR at this time, why ? Co -pilot can take off follow course then just wonders off course I have no idea why ? Push back at departure takes no consideration of any vehicle close to the aircraft. Push back does not happen often even though the tug is under the front of the aircraft. Walk way to the aircraft after landing is often not connected to the aircraft even though I have parked close enough for it to be connected. I have even had a building appear on the runway !! Finally the experience would be so enhanced if only we could get ATC to speak in the country we are flying over in the local accents, Flying over the UK the American accent is so unrealistic. Anyway for all that still enjoy the experience.
  16. I have been flying FS2020 for about five weeks with no problems at all until about three days ago when the game froze. The game will run for about five mins then freeze for about 15 seconds, the sound is still there. I have reduced lots of settings down and switched some items off but this makes no difference. I bought a new lap top just to run FS 2020 so I am confident it is powerful enough especially as it was operating so fine previously. Any ideas what I can do ? Many thanks
  17. I thought it was a one off fluke. A320 NEO I give operating the radio to the first officer and about 20 miles from the arrival airport he announces to ATC "flight plan cancelled " why would he want do that ?? anyway it has happened twice again. This is not every flight so I know it can be completed successfully, but before I can correct this myself I have been caste adrift by ATC. and there is no option to re-engage the original flight plan, has anybody else had this or is it something I must have done. Tis a mystery 🙄 In future I am going to have to operate the radio myself, bit of a fag to that really.
  18. Great but as I am still learning I have yet to progress to loading the MCDU but I will get there. At one point I nearly gave up with FS2020 but I have now progressed loads and find it easier than FSX and much more enjoyable. Thanks for your response. Have a great new year
  19. Flight plan programmed, first officer is handling the radio, he suddenly says about 20 miles from Birmingham UK he says IFR flight plan cancelled, why would he say that ? I have to continue the flight with no ATC.no option to reinstate the flight plan.This is not the first time this has happened from Bristol to Brum, weird or what ??
  20. I flew into Mumbai today and there was a tail wind, other traffic were approaching from the other direction.🧐

When I make a flight plan as created by FS how can I pick the runway that will land me into the wind ? sometimes it's ok but other times if I select the first ILS choice runway I land with a tail wind. Do we get to choose or is it just luck ? Been flying for about a month what an awesome experience the FFS is.
