At last Sergey, you have suggested the almighty Microsoft OS could be the problem. YAY I have followed up on every suggestion for a fix, to no avail. Even as I write this AI is preempting with suggestions. I have been simming since 1st version and I have never encountered issues like I have since installing latest OS. (Copilot just deleted) I am now installing Prep3d on an old PC to prove a point. Will let you know the result in due coarse.

Thanks Ray, I have been using the manual start in this bird for a few years. I never use hotkeys. Also Navigraph data does not load. (Common in all Carenado products) The so called fix doesn't work, so not a real IFR machine. I was a Commercial pilot in years gone by, twin IFR rating. The Saab is one of my favorites because it is almost study level. My other go to is PMDG Boeings and MJC Dash 8. Thanks for your help Kevin

Thamks for your input, i have done many sim installs in the past and never encountered problems all of which have a weired consistency. I can see where you are comiing from, but I don't agree with you. I have installed this particular setup several times in te last 3 months, with the same problems occuring over and over. All since new computer. I agree, legal action was a stupid idea, but I am that frustrated. These issues have a strange consistency. However I have enough IT experience to know when a problem exists. All the problems originate from 2 developers. I appreciatee everyone's assistance. I have recently been diagnosed with early onset dementia, so maybe that's the problem. At least I have the PMDG products which have never let me down. Thanks to all for trying to help.

Latest update: Reinstalled the sim, PMDG is still the only add on that works properly. Alabao and Carenado still delivering the same word not allowed. MJC Dash 8 still not connecting to Simbrief downloader. Who is at fault here? No one is putting their hand up. I am seeking legal advice re getting full refund on these products. When new software is installed it should be install, go flying. Not try this, try that, oh dear didn't work... toobad.

That users data path doesn't exist on my PC. The prepa3d.config does and I deleted as advised. I think version is 5.4. Would I be better off upgrading to V6? Will it work with older addons, Orbx etc. I understand it is not an upgrade as such but a complete new installation.

Thanks for your input Dave. Cor I5, 32GB RAM, ASUS RTX 12 GB Graphics Card P3D v5.0 Orbx scenery, PMDG 737/777, MJC Dash8 Professional, some Carenado S340, Ctitan 404. Active Skye. I note that the P3D.cfg hasn't replaced itself. If I have to do another full install I think it will time to quit although the alternatives don't inspire me much.

Set up Lockheed C130 and saved as default. Still no startup?

The plot thickens. Tried CTRL E on the Alabao 404. Mixture lever moves to full rich, then as engine starts, mixture goes to cutoff. Also weird that PMDG planes are the only ones I can fly.

Client doesn't offer repair option. I thought I read somewhere that Client can be deleted and re-installed. Just a weird thought.

I have also run Fortect file management system, showing no fault.

Ray, On further investigation I have found that the same is occurring on all aircraft (inc Pre3 defaults) so the problem is clearly PRP3D based.

Thanks Ray, Let's start with the Carenado Saab 340. Honeycomb yoke and throttle. I only use throttle, flaps and speed brake, not the panel switches or autopilot.

Yes, same problem. The only planes I can use are PMDG. Even MJC Dash 8 having problems.

Have just had to reinstall everything afer 2 crashes in a row. The SF350 makes all the right noises for startup but left engine pro is spinning but not showing up on panel. Right engine not starting at all.

At $359 and 5 days later? Bah humbug, absolute ripoff.

In the past, the data path used to load automaticly. eg. PMDG loaded by default. MJC Dash 8, no data path. I tried to set this up but not working. Any ideas? (Please)

Over the las few weeks I have written about the saga of my dying PC. As this PC only has a WIFI dongle I had constant connection problems, downloads corrupting, you name it happened. Today I found an aerial with 2 screw on lugs. Turns out there is 2 such lugs on the back panel. Connected it, WHAM. it's getting full 5g signal. Still got resolve a few issues, but I reckon week signal has been the cause of all the corrupted downloads. Will be checking it over the next few hours. Thanks to all of you who persevered with my dimwittedness.

Not sure why I would need a partition manager. The current C: would become D: I know there are issues with most installs default to C: I guess I have nothing to lose, if it doesn't work I can just install again on c: Incidently, I paid a "Techie" $350 to service and repair this PC. Subsequently it's performance deteriorated over the last 2 weeks, running slower and slower until it died. I used Fortect repair tool which over the last few days found increasing number of errors, then "death".

Perhaps a silly question. My flight PC has died a slow agonizing death. Got slower and slower over the last week, now DEAD. Thinking of transferring the c: to the new PC as D: Is this feasible? I know P3D licence will kick off although I have 2 installs left. PMDG and most others are cool provided you can provide the original licence key. Could this work or would I be better to bight the bullet and do a complete new install. Cheers

For as far back as I can remember when installing a sim one would install e.g. Prep3D, then scenery, add on airplanes, weather, Navigraph etc. A few weeks ago I had to do a total reset and install. This time round NONE of the addons linked to the others, and if they did, did not connect. After 5 weeks I am still having problems with Navigraph moving maps, Orbx (All files have not installed correctly). I have done a total reset 3 times and still nothing is working properly. (in particular Wearthe, Orbx and Navigraph moving maps. Moving maps started working a few days ago, but as to be expected not working today. I tried to migrate to the new MS Sim but after 3 weeks of posting support requests about not able to log in I have given up on that also. I can't tear my hair out as I don't have any! Regards, Kevin
