In the past, the data path used to load automaticly. eg. PMDG loaded by default. MJC Dash 8, no data path. I tried to set this up but not working. Any ideas? (Please)

Over the las few weeks I have written about the saga of my dying PC. As this PC only has a WIFI dongle I had constant connection problems, downloads corrupting, you name it happened. Today I found an aerial with 2 screw on lugs. Turns out there is 2 such lugs on the back panel. Connected it, WHAM. it's getting full 5g signal. Still got resolve a few issues, but I reckon week signal has been the cause of all the corrupted downloads. Will be checking it over the next few hours. Thanks to all of you who persevered with my dimwittedness.

Not sure why I would need a partition manager. The current C: would become D: I know there are issues with most installs default to C: I guess I have nothing to lose, if it doesn't work I can just install again on c: Incidently, I paid a "Techie" $350 to service and repair this PC. Subsequently it's performance deteriorated over the last 2 weeks, running slower and slower until it died. I used Fortect repair tool which over the last few days found increasing number of errors, then "death".

Perhaps a silly question. My flight PC has died a slow agonizing death. Got slower and slower over the last week, now DEAD. Thinking of transferring the c: to the new PC as D: Is this feasible? I know P3D licence will kick off although I have 2 installs left. PMDG and most others are cool provided you can provide the original licence key. Could this work or would I be better to bight the bullet and do a complete new install. Cheers

When installing Orbx I keep getting "Some files failed to download." Running Verify files does not help. Could a bad interne connection contribute to this?

Fault found and reported Thursday, e.g. Midnight last Thursday (South Australia time) I found my licence revoked. So, no access Friday, to at least late Monday. Effectively 5 days.

In view of recent developments I have decided to undo the dinosaur and move to the new sim

5 days after re-installing P3D they have again cancelled my licence and ask me to send proof of ownersip AGAIN. Once too often.

Nil, removed from registry and all folders deleted. Shows Bravo controller setting as being in Onedrive folder, but that folder is invisible

I have removed Onedrive every day for the last 4 weeks, just keeps coming back. Yes I have followed removal instructions every time.

Also, Navigraph moving maps no working.

Finally, yesterday, everything in the sim working. This morning 1st Bravo controller settings trying to save to Onedrive. Set up screen to make custom setups, e.g. 772, dash8 etc no longer exists, just goes to Onedrive. Onedrive not showing anywhere on the system but trying to take over. Nothing is working.... thanks MIcrosoft. No coming back from this, I am over it.

It seems that it is ok to delete in Setup, Apps. This is what I did. When I tried to setup P#D 30 mins later it said "Go away! Got an email from LHM later saying activation approved. Now, after completely removing and reinstalling (Including Orbx) everything (Even airplane liveries) is working. The gremlins were well entrenched throughout my system. Only problem now is moving maps has stopped working, going by the forums this is a gift from our friends at Microsoft to which, at this stage, there is no cure. Thankyou all who have tried to help over the past few weeks.

Just been advised by LHMartin that license has been restored so I now have 2 logins left. Weird.

It seems that P3D would not connect with anything else. Now they say I don't have an account (Again) Something is blocking Orbx. Was the log file any help. I had decided to reinstall everything but P3D put paid to that. At this stage I am looking for alternatives. 5 weeks with no sim so I am pretty much over it. Will keep you updated.

Last bloody straw. I decided to bight the bullet, uninstall and redo the whole setup. PREP3 now say that I don't exist. Last time they took 5 days to respond. I have now been without a working sim for 5 weeks. nOT GOOD ENOUGH

Something in P3D is stopping any 3rd party software from communicating with it. After 3 weeks of this word not allowed it is going to take a lot to convince me otherwise.

Orbx takes me straight to login. Task Manager is taking me to a program that has hung, Orbx. It shows 8 attempts then hangs.

Why the need to start Orbx Central. a:Can't complete initial download, normally it is "Set and forget"

Yes, the sequential layer problem is fixed after re-installing Prep. Seems to be loading correctly but now! Engine sounds are from external, very noisy. About 20 Orbx scenery. Can't download now. Normally is Download, very, works. Task manager makes 8 attempts to work then freezes. All these problems started with windows update. Interestingly, no change to windows on my laptop.

Switch on the front panel, wired to power supply. Don't I have to download the items I own to start with. When I launch P3D it's only the default P3 scenery. Am I doing something wrong here? If I click on each of the files I own they will dowload then load into the sim.

Well, so much for the local Techy, fixed a power switch, $340 later and nothing has changed. So, Orbx Central still crashes halfway through loading, Navigraph moving maps has stopped "Moving" now and it goes on. This has to be software related. I thought of getting a new PC but it would be an expensive experiment. I am at my wits end. With Orbx when I go to Task Manager, there there is attempts to load, the last 2 have a green leaf, "Power saver mode?' Now that would surely stuff things up?
