  1. Maybe this means the criteria are not in place for a CAT2 approach and landing: CAT2 AMS = Category 2 Approach Monitoring System: CAT 2 annunciator switch indicates armed status of the AMS. AMS will arm: automatically at 600 feet RAD ALT if all conditions for a CAT 2 approach are satisfied and AMS switch will illuminate green: No. 1 and No. 2 glideslope and localizer are valid No. 1 and No. 2 localizers are valid Radio altimeter is valid. Great than 100 feet RAD ALT and less than 600 feet. Landing gear is down NAV selector is in SPLIT position. Autopilot is engaged Autopilot B.LOC not selected Altitude Transfer (ATT) switch set to NORM (located at pilot's lower instrument panel) Compass Transfer (COMP) switch set to NORM (located at pilot's lower instrument panel) Pressing either CAT 2 annunciator switch will reverse the AMS status.
  2. Thanks for the hints. Embarrassed to say I was not getting a full view of annunciators (some hidden by levers). The problem seems to have been a need to reset a generator. I must have been switching them on without first resetting. Anyway, I found a warning on the annunciator panel (behind a throttle lever) to clear by resetting the generator. So, you are correct, I was depleting the battery. Now I will also check the gauges, and I have set a custom view of the annunciator panel. Love this Black SQ King Air, and what a handful to fly! Thanks again for your reply.
  3. After watching tutorials, referring to the Black SQ Manuals, and using various checklists, I can successfully start the Analogue King Air (battery start), enter a flight plan, and take off. But then the avionics go dark. The avionic master is "ON", and other switches are per checklists. I cannot find any electrical faults, and there are no warnings indicated. Global Failures Rate is set to "No Failures". Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?
  4. Loading a flight plan from SimBrief into the CRJ works for me only if I first go to POS INIT and copy-paste the FMS POS to SET POS. Then, I go to the FPLN page and enter the departure and arrival airports codes as one word into the ROUTE field (e.g. KPHLKBOS) and press EXEC. Works every time I remember the first step!
