PREVIEW: PSXT Jetways - a PSXT Companion App
Introducing PSXT Jetways - bringing your PSXT gates to life! I’ve been developing a companion app for PSXT and MSFS 2024 that connects jetways to parked AI aircraft and adds optional ground-service activity. HUGE thanks to Nico and Dave for helping test this up to this point! Automatic docking across your airports The app follows your current PSXT airport, identifies eligible parked aircraft and connects their jetways automatically. Bridges release for departure, while a recovery watchdog helps restore connections affected by camera-distance redraws. It detects supported scenery adapters automatically and uses native docking where needed. A huge number of airport sceneries have been part of development and testing, with compatibility work continuing across additional sceneries where we find inconsistencies. Dual and triple jetways where the scenery supports them At appropriately equipped gates, compatible widebodies can receive two separate jetway connections. Supported A380 stands can use three bridges, including an upper-deck connection demonstrated at iniBuilds OMDB v2. The app checks for distinct scenery-provided bridges and matching supported controllers. Sceneries with built-in multi-jetway arrangements—such as iniBuilds OMDB v2 and MK Studios KMIA—are the intended targets; each gate still needs compatible geometry and adapters. It won’t manufacture extra bridges at single-jetway stands. Optional ground services Fuel, GPU, catering, baggage handling, water/lavatory vehicles and tugs bring parked traffic to life, with aircraft-specific cargo and GA handling. Eligible remote stands can receive stairs and passenger buses with illuminated windows at night. Randomized service phases, individual vehicle toggles, a vehicle limit and an optional 1,500 ft / 457.2 m nearby-aircraft filter let you tailor the activity. Parking tools and monitoring A live airport map and parking adjustor help refine aircraft placement. You can also select installed AI models to remain parked during the current PSXT session. Docking status, GSE activity, vehicle count, FPS and support-report export are available from the app. Oddities Jetways may appear half-connected after camera changes. Automatic cycling may retract and reconnect jetways periodically to recover their appearance; this is expected. Initial docking can take time while scenery and traffic are checked. “Attached” status may appear before visible contact. Some gates may remain disconnected because of parking position, beacon state or compatibility. Dual/triple docking requires compatible scenery and aircraft. Small gaps or clipping can occur. Simulator updates or competing jetway utilities may interrupt operation. What's next? Testing continues, but we're reaching a more stable environment. Sim updates and Sim Beta updates at this point will break the app and require an update, so further testing occurs here as well. This app is tailor made for PSXT and has not been testing with any other traffic injection method thus far. Will provide updates here as well as a further release timeline when development gets there! Thanks! Kyle

No Strobes above 10000ft
I'm the one making the lights for AIG and it hasnt been released as of yet

No Strobes above 10000ft
Hey Nico! When can we expect the new update?

No Strobes above 10000ft
Wonderful, thank you Nico!

No Strobes above 10000ft
@kiek can we count on this being updated in the next update?

No Strobes above 10000ft
Would love for strobes to be equipped above 10k feet, as this will add to the realism of the sim. The new lights coming soon with AIG are very immersive, real, and tailored to each aircraft. To have strobes above 10k feet for those PSXT users would elevate us even more! And as Jim said, strobes are always on from when the aircraft is on the runway to when it's off.

No Strobes above 10000ft
Hi Kiek, I'm writing because I'm redoing all of the light fx files for AIG and I'm running into an issue where the strobes disappear above 10k feet when the landing lights and tail lights cut off. I've tested this with AIG Traffic controller and I have strobes at all flights levels, so I know this is PSXT injector related. I have "control lights external" selected in AIM-OCI settings, and "AIG_TC_PSXT_Check_Parameters" set to false in the Model behavior defs. What does PSXT tell then traffic as far as lights go? Would love to have this rectified! Running MSFS2024 Thanks! Kyle

Coming Feb 21, 9:00 UTC: v14.5, plus ALL archives reset!
So static parking will be a bit scarce until online archives are regenerated?
