v14.5 questions
The following lines are now in the airport file header (not all data has been updated yet): <?xml version="1.0"?> <meta> <info name="author" value="PSXT" /> <info name="version" value="5.5.1" /> <info name="date" value="Sept 26, 2025" /> <info name="copyright" value="(c) 2025 vonSzuli, Hungary, All Rights reserved" /> <info name="MSFS" value="2020" /> </meta> <parameters> <parameter name="airport_name" value="Ferihegy" /> <parameter name="publisher" value="LHSimulations" /> <parameter name="altitude" value="448" /> <parameter name="num_parkpos" value="75" /> <parameter name="Qf_real" value="56" /> <parameter name="Qf_soft" value="0" /> <parameter name="RT_traffic_week" value="Jan22 - Jan28" /> </parameters> Where exactly and how does the handmade="true" parameter go? Should I leave all the data in it, or just the airport_name and publisher parameters as described in the Manual?

v14.5 questions
Thank you. Fixing the type values solved the problem, now the program works fine. According to what you wrote, the solution for me in the future may be sub-point c) of point 8.18.1 of the PSXT manual. Here it is written: "PSXT will then take your file (only) if Learn Real and/or Learn Soft is true, and add learned options." Where exactly should the Learn Real and/or Learn Soft parameter be set to true?

v14.5 questions
Hi Nico! I have several questions about the new version. So far I have been using my own, modified files in the my_thirdparty folder. These files contain all the parking spaces of the given airport, I have also modified the coordinates to match the real values, so my successful parkings are much better and the planes are actually parked in the parking spaces where they are in reality. After RESET, new files are created in the my_thirdparty folder. The number of parking spaces in these files is often significantly less than the ones I modified. The coordinates do not match the real data either, so the program often modifies the parking position of the approaching aircraft (it moves the aircraft away). 1. Can I continue to use my modified files? (currently the program allows it, but the parkings are always unsuccessful) 2. Is it enough to add the type values to my previous files? 3. The parking space ID codes have changed. If I want to record the missing parking spaces (e.g. secondary, tertiary parking spaces: 36L, 36R), does the ID name matter for them? 4. Overall, how can I make the modifications that I have been able to make so far? Suggestion: It would be nice to have an accessible database where I can download the basic files if I want to modify the coordinates and parking spaces.

New .xml reading method problem
Great, I'll try it tonight! Thx, Nico!

New .xml reading method problem
Same problem, after trying. This is the meta sectiona. I modified the last line as described: <?xml version="1.0"?> <meta> <info name="author" value="PSXTraffic" /> <info name="version" value="4.1.0" /> <info name="date" value="Sept 25, 2025" /> <info name="copyright" value="(c) 2025 vonSzuli, Hungary, All Rights reserved" /> </meta> The modified xml file is quite old, but I guess that doesn't matter (I was able to use it until now)

Thanks Nico, I'll try it.

New .xml reading method problem
Hi Nico, since the new .xml reading method (PSXT 11.10.1) I am getting the following error message in MSFS2020: archive/thirdparty/FlyTampa/EHAM.xml: refused to load (copyright) This is an EHAM.xml file in my airports\my_thirdparty folder that I edited myself. This worked so far, allowing me to manually edit the xml file to record more accurate parking positions, and to record new parking spaces myself. I simply copied the modified xml file into the airports\my_thirdparty folder and it was read by the program. This way I could immediately check the results of the changes while MSFS was running. How can I continue to make this work in the future? Thx, vonSzuli

Disappearing aircrafts
Hi Nico, in MSFS 2024, with the latest PSXT version (11.0.2), aircraft parking in a parking space will disappear immediately after the parking is complete. I tried restarting PSXT, but the error occurred again.

Weâll solve this problem somehow! With these solutions, I can already see that modification/testing will work again. đ

New archive folder
I solved the Marketplace problem. Currently, airports purchased on the marketplace are not showing up in the PSXT/airports/my_thirdparty (or my_thirdparty2024) folder. But if I create a txt file here with the following text, it will load the specified thirdparty file instead of the stock file. E.g.: archive/thirdparty/LHSimulations/LHBP.xml

I agree, this is an incredibly good program that multiplies the basic MSFS experience. I only have one thing to complain about, which is to keep the freedom of modification (instead of the current much more limited form). Until now, the files could be modified without restrictions, it was just my decision to share them with the community so that everyone could enjoy the more accurate and detailed parking spaces. Money can certainly lead to results, that's for Nico to decide. In any case, I'm grateful that he listened to me and included the sent files.

I agree with you on many things and what you have created so far is respectable. I would suggest you think about one thing. How can you give freedom to those who like to improve airport files and use them? So far it has worked. If I wanted to, I simply overwrote the downloaded airport files with my files and enjoyed the airport traffic. Now this freedom is gone. The marketplace problem was fixable so far, now it is gone. Of course, let's not buy from there. But i have many airports that I bought there years ago, I can't change that (I can buy them again, yes, but it is anything but cost-effective). LHBP e.g. can only be purchased on marketplace... And I say again, this was easily solved. What if there was, for example, a choice in the program interface as to where to load the airport files from? From the online interface, or from the downloaded archive files on the computer according to the previous structure. This would give us enormous freedom who like to improve the files.

Hi Nico, I still believe that the new direction to handling airport files is not ideal. Currently, you need to log into the simulator to have the file for the loaded airport appear in the PSXT/Airports folder. The current system is not suitable for the following: I cannot modify airport files without launching the simulator, even on another computer. (Until now, I used to copy the files I wanted to modify onto a USB drive, make the changes on my work computer, then test the results on my home computer. If necessary, I would correct the mistakes. I would then send the tested files to you.) It is not suitable for testing the modified parameters myself, since the park_airport file is downloaded online, and I cannot overwrite it. If I purchased the airport from the marketplace, the stock file is automatically loaded. This used to be fixable by simply overwriting the stock files in the stock folder with the modified third-party files. I suggest that the airport files database continues to be downloaded to the computer, remains accessible, and can be freely edited and tested at home. This would also solve the marketplace problem. Other: I see that the radius values have changed in many files, even though I fixed them. This can also cause errors in parking.

New archive folder
I installed the version 10.1.1. I must be doing something wrong, but I can't see the latest downloaded airport file (â\airports\park_airport.xmlâ).

But I'm just doing this for social work, not for pay. đ In Hungary - where i live - the pro license is not cheap fun... So far, it's worked great, which has benefited the community. And it takes a lot of working hours to repair a large airport to this level (like EGLL, KSFO, KLAX, etc.)
